  • Hello my friends! :)
Here i am again with something for you to watch!
I've made a video about the WW2 Hell on Wheels Reenactment / Event at Zutendaal ( Belgium ) Return to Y-29 WWII Military Airfield!
It was an awesome experience, I decided to film it, so i could share this with you!
A lot of stuff happened.. it was really hot, i've spent the night near the forest in a pup tent, and we were pinned by a German sniper while on patrol!
There were so much beautiful WW2 vehicles to see, and we've been driving through the forest with them!
A day i will definitely never forget!
I really hope you enjoy this video!! :)

Well, Nick, I'd say that was a very realistic reenactment!
Especially being farted on by that fabulous wrecker!
I'm so sorry you got sick and had to leave. But at least you know what it feels like to puke in an original US helmet! Lol. Seriously, though, I'm glad you knew when to quit. Heatstroke is no laughing matter!
The reenactment footage was awesome. I did feel creepy when you guys were circling the buildings and watching the woods! I kept imagining German soldiers behind every bush!
Great video, my friend. Thanks for sharing...and for the glimpse of your awesome relic room!
    Cindy

      Haha, it sure was!!
Something funny that also happened.. i was sitting right in front of the exhaust.. and it started!!
All the smoke in my face.. too bad i wasn't filming at the time!
Yeah, i'm glad i had the experience of using a WW2 M1 helmet for that, haha!!
Indeed, i was thinking about a heatstroke too.. that's why i decided to go!
It was awesome.. i'm glad we didn't came across a German platoon! :)
Thank you very much for watching again!!

Wow..you guys must have had some heat wave. In Virginia (USA) I don't think we had one day over 101 (Eastern VA ..Historic Williamsburg and Jamestown, VA where I reside)...and our summers are known as brutal for re-enactors...mostly American Rev War and Civil War). You are very smart to recognize the over-exertion / heat exhaustion symptoms. Good for you Nick.

I bet all soldiers in WW2 felt like that after their first day only that it never got better. Those reenactments seem like a lot of fun and also teach a lot about being a soldier in general. Back then all Men probably just wanted to cut the day short like you did xD

Reminds me of when I jumped into Normandy on the 50th Anniversary. 26x C130 formation. #2 in the door. I muckled onto two bottles of wine, some cheese and a big baguette and headed for the nearest bunker on the Norman coastline. I sat there in a Germany machine bunker and drank and ate and watched all the vintage planes fly by. We pissed 'er up pretty good and you couldn't buy a beer without someone else paying for it.
