I'm a Punjabi Hindu, I left my motherland because of Sikh insurgency and genocide against my people. GOI and ruling party of the time didn't do anything for us. Same with Kashmiri Hindus who left in 80s-90s along with us, Tamil Hindus, etc. Because we were forced to leave doesn't mean we don't still care about our land, dharma, etc. In fact out of all diaspora in the world its Indians abroad who sent the most money home to India. I'd argue that if we didn't leave and work in currency worth more than rupee, get political power abroad, etc India would still be stuck in the state it was when we left. We had to help from outside and get bargaining power greater than what Congress had.

Temples and libraries where ancient scriptures and important knowledge was destroyed along with the places of education (gurukul) and Brahmins and gurus were killed so knowledge transfer is curbed. BJP did lose Hindu votes. The Congress gained Muslim Votes probably enmasse. Unfortunately in Karnataka and Bihar Hindus are more divided on caste lines which is prevelant in all regions of India to a lesser extent.
Two other factors ex BJP leader Gali Janardhana Reddy cut BJP votes in 15 constituents and rebel candidates have cut the votes and they are in second place in some of them. Jagadish Shettiar played a role diverting some of the LINGAYAT votes to KHANgress. On all of it, iciing in the cake is where mulsim majority polling booths will have rigging more votes than the actual voters in that booth. This is a commeon phenonmenon tactic they use in old city HYderabad.
Some of the people who left BJP and joined Congress won so that is a loss. Lingayat vote got divided because their tallest yedurappa is in retirement mode. Let’s accept that Bommai is not a good CM and not very dominant leader.

In traditional Christian, Muslim or other major religions, there is conscious effort of going to church/ mosque etc along with reading their irrespective holy books while in India this has declined due to lot of invasions in the last where Hindus were targeted and forced to convert. Temples and libraries where ancient scriptures and important knowledge was destroyed along with the places of education (gurukul) and Brahmins and gurus were killed so knowledge transfer is curbed. People were killed. In all this education was lost when we got chance to get education it was all modified version from colonial rulers. Hence too much time waste and now with internet and unlimited access lot of people acquiring knowledge from here and there.

BJP did lose Hindu votes. The Congress gained Muslim Votes probably enmasse.
Unfortunately in Karnataka and Bihar Hindus are more divided on caste lines which is prevelant in all regions of India to a lesser extent.
Two other factors ex BJP leader Gali Janardhana Reddy cut BJP votes in 15 constituents and rebel candidates have cut the votes and they are in second place in some of them. Jagadish Shettiar played a role diverting some of the LINGAYAT votes to KHANgress. On all of it, iciing in the cake is where mulsim majority polling booths will have rigging more votes than the actual voters in that booth. This is a commeon phenonmenon tactic they use in old city HYderabad.
Some of the people who left BJP and joined Congress won so that is a loss. Lingayat vote got divided because their tallest yedurappa is in retirement mode. Let’s accept that Bommai is not a good CM and not very dominant leader.
