If your staying near the airport don't have too much luggage, skip the traffic and take the Metrorail in. Easy ride to government centre where you can grab an uber to the port.

You talked about the stadium don't forget the huge parking lot on city side, the mall by the port water there is to die for as a cruise traveler. It has if you have time, cruises to see millionaires homes on island as you drive causeway to Miami Beach. And there are some smaller private vessels that do moonlight dinner cruise just for a family or couple 😊 its on the dock right by mall. I highly recommend walking down Miami Beach drive. The Restaurant the Hosts are beconing you in to eat. Very friendly. One thing about Miami Beach is NEVER give your credit card to server. There are people down there looking to get your card number. Only because its a rich area Its very safe, its just there are thief's looking just for credit card information.
