For those who might not realize the joke, the humor in the song is the face that Moosebutter used John Williams' most famous scores to compose a Star Wars parody - EXCEPT Star Wars.
@Boochickadoo2 Actually, this is barbershop and One of the members are the director so the actual choir director didn't do anything. This was only choir boys who love to sing made a group and did all these songs. They are amazing :D
I attended a concert once where the women's choir sang about having a coffee addiction. I also remember watching the Boise Philharmonic conductor do a lightsaber battle with Darth Vader once. Choir, band, orchestra concerts can be hilarious =)
@dangerrangerlstc It's part of the joke: the lyrics are nothing but Star Wars while the songs are all of John Williams's most famous themes *except* Star Wars. :-) The songs are from: - (00:00) Encounters of the Third Kind - (00:40) Raiders of the Lost Ark - (01:15) Superman - (01:45) E.T. - (02:15) Jaws - (03:05) Jurrasic Park - (03:45) Raiders of the Lost Ark (reprise) The original is by Moosebutter.
I know what you mean, and one of my pet peeves is people making noise during a concert, but as a performer, when I'm performing a song that's supposed to be funny, when people DON'T laugh, it feels dead.
And for people REALLY not with it: "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "Raiders March (Indiana Jones)", "Theme from Superman", "Flying Theme (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial)", "Jaws", "Jurassic Park", and back to "Raiders." So it's also a Spielberg joke.
I totally agree with you, the original is better. Still, sometimes people aspire to be part of something bigger and greater, be a divine design or a communal experience like a concert. Regardless of quality, I find this video full of emotion. The original one is the one I hear when I want to hear the song in its purest form, videos like this one are the ones I search for when I wanna feel the goosebump sensation "My god I am not the only one who still like Star Wars". Sorry for my bad english.
It would be awesome, if the choir at my school did this, but i know that there aren't many talented male singers here. Maybe the ban could play it in a concert. That would be fun
you must use the force.....you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..
This is an ode to John Williams, who created the original scores to all these movies featured in the song. I guess the lyrics only focus on star wars because everyone knows star wars. I guess.
@Stoeyify If you saw this live, even knowing what's coming, do you think you could prevent yourself from laughing? The whole POINT is to make the audience laugh
For those who might not realize the joke, the humor in the song is the face that Moosebutter used John Williams' most famous scores to compose a Star Wars parody - EXCEPT Star Wars.
The transition from Jaws to Jurassic Park might the smoothest I have ever heard. Also, 3:57 - 3:59 sounds great.
Fantastic job overall!
@Boochickadoo2 Actually, this is barbershop and One of the members are the director so the actual choir director didn't do anything. This was only choir boys who love to sing made a group and did all these songs. They are amazing :D
Fantastic!!!!!
I remember being a part of this and it being one of the most fun things I'd ever done in choir.
I like how they slowed it down, and you got every vocal in there...
I attended a concert once where the women's choir sang about having a coffee addiction. I also remember watching the Boise Philharmonic conductor do a lightsaber battle with Darth Vader once. Choir, band, orchestra concerts can be hilarious =)
Each member of the choir ate a bowl of awesome and drank down the legendary that morning.
EvilPaladin11 Indeed
Fantastic job! Moosebutter must be thrilled to see how many quality renditions are shared on RUclips.
Was it Moosebutter or Corey Vidal who did it first?
@@MasterovD.Skies42_411 Corey Vidal first did a lipdub of Moosebutter.
@@Luknopfler83 Ahhh gotcha
This is the best version on RUclips. These guys had fun with it

It just goes to show you how much of an impact Star Wars, has had on our modern culture.
WHY DOESN'T THIS HAVE MORE VIEWS!? THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Other version existed that predate it
The idea of these movies being rendered in acapella is kind of hilarious. Especially when the lyrics are about Star Wars.
Brilliant
John williams is the man
Did anyone else notice the guy in the bottom row all the way to the left during "fly the falcon through an asteroid?"😂😂
Hell....YES.
this sounds DOPE as a choral arrangement
i was sceptical when i first saw this - i thought it's better sung by 4 people...boy was i wrong. fantastico!
I know what you mean, and one of my pet peeves is people making noise during a concert, but as a performer, when I'm performing a song that's supposed to be funny, when people DON'T laugh, it feels dead.
John Wiiliams should be the emperor of this world.
This is a really good version. it gives the original proud!
YAY we are trying to do this for our showchoir!!! lol awesome!!!
This was an awesome version of the song!!
John Williams is a genius....long may he live
JOHN WILLIAMS IS DA MAN

John Williams is the man!
John Williams, God of music.
It would be awesome, if the choir at my school did this, but i know that there aren't many talented male singers here. Maybe the ban could play it in a concert. That would be fun
Awesome cover of a great tribute song!
That. Was. Awesome.

@mkarnerfors Moosebutter is the bomb. I love them.
So brilliant
Normally I hate using this word, but there's no other way to describe this.
Epic.
Good job guys! Sounds great!
That was *fantastic*! Really well done! Thanks for posting that up.
Showing this to my choir director!
The leader of the choir is full of win, since he got a choir to do this song.
I've watched this since 10,000 views. I think its the best choir version I've seen.
I'm doing this song for men's chorus this year. It's so funny.
The high school band in my county did the Imperial March (I was just in middle school at the time) and it was amazing
awesome catch of a much appreciated viral vid... Laughed so much xD
Episode VII: Coming to you: Twenty-fifteen
That lyric changes every version originally it was 2005
Brilliant!!!!!
you must use the force.....you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..you must use the force..
Long time ago... Far far away... Long time ago... Far far away
Actually, with a song like this, I'm sure the Chorale members appreciated the laughter in response. Or at least I would have it was me.
This video restores my faith in humaity
We are doing this in my choir!
Awesome!!!!!!!
@KindlingKatalyst @hajnisj Look up the original two videos on ApprenticeA's channel both have the lyrics as close captions.
I WISH MY CHOIR HAD DONE THIS!!!
this is by far the BEST VERSION! i cant belive it that this hasnt more views
Blows your freaking mind
That was awesome!!!
Great job guys!!
@MauwFawkis look at the original (corey vidal), it's subtitled :) )
That made my day thanks that was awesome
if my chorus did this the only year i wasnt in it i would hate the teacher for the rest of my life.....
i actually laughed more than with the original video. great job, boys!
@imzcoolio Yes, but I'm pretty sure he lip-synced over it because the audio is the same as the original by MooseButter
This is an ode to John Williams, who created the original scores to all these movies featured in the song.
I guess the lyrics only focus on star wars because everyone knows star wars. I guess.
This is awesome!
May the fourth be with you!!
AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Williams is the maaaaaaan!
I need Lucas producing, Spielberg directing, and Williams performin.
Freaking amazing. Such a good job.
this sounds like something that the men's chorus at my high school would do. Hm, maybe I should show this to my choir director...
oh my goodness this is awesome
When my school did this we got actual Force FX lightsabers so at the end a bunch of us ignited them all at once. it was great haha
How many has noticed that there are NO tunes from Star Wars in this???
@Stoeyify If you saw this live, even knowing what's coming, do you think you could prevent yourself from laughing? The whole POINT is to make the audience laugh
Judging by the clapping and laughs, I suspect the audience as a whole hasn't listened to this song 100+ times on RUclips as I have.
I love the guy who laughs at 1:53
that second wookiee sounded like he was drowning in water
EPIC!!!!!!!! I know the original one but this is still EPIC!!!!
I wish I was doing this in my choir
Fantastic
i want my chorus group to do this! XD
Couldn´t laugh louder with "My hand!" scream
love it!
first 5 notes brings back memories loved close encounter of the third kind
Watching in 2024
AMAZING
Gave me the tinglys :3
13 people didnt think that there would be any spoilers
The laughter of a guy in 1:55 is epic xD
@Ruppoel They're laughing because this song is a work of comedic music, and it's successful at being humorous.
muito loko
the guy who screams "my hand" at 3:13 sounds like Timmy from "Whitest kids you know"
i love it. ♥♥♥ :D
Oh my decision is final. Im going to the UT Vols for my grad school
