Australia for Gen 10 makes sense cus we have 4 Japan regions, 2 US regions, and 3 Europe regions, so it’s time for a land completely separate and isolated.
Don't think we're getting them for gen 10, but we still have other places in asia, south America, and Africa, the amount of choices are huge

Also austarlia is huge like really huge, and the natural places there are immense, and since pokemom is going open world I can see them making a game inspired by such a huge region.

Honestly if crossbreeding is true, that could be the reason for the 200 pokemon. Say you have a base "130" new regional pokemon, but crossbreeding can make up the other 70 and their evolutions
and that still wouldn't be enough.

@@Scottzill6 No it doesn't. All Palworld breeding does is make already existing pals. It is the equivalent to if you breed a Pidgey with a Garchomp and got a Skitty.... and yes it would also be a skitty it doesn't change. The only things that can't be breed like that are legendaries.
Cross breeding would still be pokemon they planned in the game though lol

That rumor about gen 10 sounds WAAY too good to be true. Also, assuming Zarude hinted at Paldea with it being based on an Iberian monkey, & they continue the trend of mythicals being hints at the next gen’s region, how does a Pokémon based on Momotaro hint at Australia? Maybe if PLZA introduces a 2nd mythical based on something in Australia, it’s likely. However, I don’t see many hints pointing towards an Australian Region. Also, national dex returning? That also seems unlikely, GameFreak is mostly gonna focus on bigger worlds over the return of all mons.
I think the 2nd or 3rd Mythical will hint Gen 10 tbh if there's a 3rd Mythical or even doing a 2nd Mythical tbh, there's no new movies confirmed yet or any teases of another Mythical, either there as a plan for S/V or cut for PLZA maybe, who knows tbh

Well, I was thinking maybe we can check The Creator of the Pokemon games page to see where he traveled to lately. That should give us a clue for the next gens location. Plus I still think it will be a fusion mechanic. The cross breeding just doesn't sit well for a children's game and show you know. The concept of breeding pokemon. 😅 Fusions seems more feasible. I'm sure they can come up with ways of how to limit certain Pokemon to fuse. Like in the original anime. Fusion between the Venusaur and Blastoise

Gen 10 i feel isnt that too far away i see it late 2025 or early 2026... they may change the release window but if they throw in a remake it will be late 2025 but thats speculation for all we know ZA wont be out until late 2025.. as for the area Australia/ NZ are due for some loving when it comes to pokemon. keeping in mind that Australia is huge and if done correctly the game should be massive, using NZ for elite 4 and post game would be perfect also throw in Antartica as post game aswell so thats not left out.. 200 pokemon i can see it, honestly if its a reboot of pokemon again and we get more i honestly dont think anyone would be mad. i feel all gimmicks might return mega, Z moves, giganta, terra raids etc it would embrace the entire fan base, personally id just setle for an original game with a good storyline maybe some cut scenes. the breeding infusion/ fusion thing not fussed about ill do it if its needed but thats as far as it goes.. I personally want a battle pass type feature FTP/PTW i feel like its time.... rewards can be balls healing/battle items held items eggs and unique pokemon. once can speculate nothing set in stone lets hope for some ZA news sooner rather then later

I like the idea of hybrid Pokémon. Rather than fusion, I think cross speciation is an interesting mechanic. It would also encourage people to use the breeding mechanic beyond simply shiny hatching.
Btw, Oceania encompasses the entirety of Micronesia and theyre often overlooked by westerners

I hope the “200 new Pokémon” rumor is true. I’m one of those who likes to use only new Pokémon on the first play through (new evolutions or regional variants are ok). Gen V is the only game that’s ever truly fulfilled this desire. Gen VI also did ok, being able to catch Flabebe and Fletchling early in the adventure.

There may be more Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. I suspect there will be at least ten new ones, with at least one having a new type pairing. Dunno about fusions or crossbreeds, though. Hopefully, when the next trailer is released, we’ll find out more about the upcoming mechanics.
The only ultimate pokemon game is every pokemon in an mmo game with all the maps connected as a world. Called pokemon world mmo.

I think the crossbreeding idea could feasibly work. Like they can just start off with a handful of Pokémon they can design hybrids for, and release new ones in small batches each game. They don't need to make "fusions" for EVERY single mon, only specific pairs that might benefit from it. Kinda like how they've been handling regional variants so far
I like this idea!!! Esp if they keep it to 'mon that could be genetically related, like houndour+fidough or greavard+growlithe.
Like extend breeding groups and add a genus that each pokemon belongs to, (since species is already taken in game) and you can breed any that are within the same "genus"
wouldn't work. Were regional variants are just kind of "This Pokemon adapted to this environment." Cross breeding is a thing that gets out of control extremely quickly if you want to do it properly, and well if you aren't going to do it properly you probably shouldn't do it at all. It would cause way to much drama for it to be worth it to put in the extra work.
For example lets say Pidgey, Starly, and Fletchling lines are in the new game with the new regional bird. We decided to make this new regional bird crossbreed with these old favorites because it would be popular.
You now have 9 additional Pokemon from 3 new species lines being created. That of course doesn't seem to bad... but if those three could breed with the new bird why would they not be able to breed with each other. Well now you have another 18 Pokemon. Next game you bring in Rookidee's line... its crossbreed.... you now have an additional 12 Pokemon. This gets out of hand extremely quickly.
The only way I could even see saving a fusion mechanics of any type would just result in another knock off of regional variants.... and at that point just leave them as convergent species instead of trying to pass them off as a gimmick that would cause nothing but issues.
Well there were some hits that can be Australia 🇦🇺 gen 10 because if see that picture in the art room in scarlet and violet it kind of show a big rock but in the Australia the big rock call Uluru

Imagine 200 new pokemon + more in paid DLC for a total of 250 (more or less) that's massive. Plus regional or whatever. While we're being stuck with 400 past pokemon comebacks.
ive been speculating gen 10 being an Australian inspired region since SV came out. it makes so much sense and i cant even imagine the pokemon designs they could draw inspiration for. the rumor itself is wayyyyy to juicey. i do think TPC could surprise us if what we are speculating to be true: gen 10 = 30 yr anni release. the surprise being all 1000+ pokemon returning.
I definitely do NOT want fusions in a mainline game. Maybe a legends black and white game where you use the DNA splicers that you use on Kyurem. Just not in a main game...

If we get Australia for the next main generation game, it would be mostly focused on Australia, New Zealand would get its own game or as a future generation maybe, or as dlc maybe, who knows tbh
I don't mind Australia, that continent has good fauna, cultural, history, flora and such would all be good ideas to make Pokémon from tbh, New Zealand too, also I can take any South Asian land and countries or islands as other ideas to go to, Africa is a good choice too, somewhere in South or North America would be cool too tbh, anywhere in Europe would do if it fits tbh, Ireland is a good location to go as well as Iceland, Greece and such tbh, so who knows tbh
Fusions are an interesting and popular mechanic for Pokemon. It is also a terrible idea for Pokemon. You are adding so many permutations to every new Pokemon what is made even if you entire overhauled the breeding system to make it hybrid species. Suddenly every new bird Pokemon have to merge with every other bird species line. That new regional bird? Yeah that is now 26 additional species lines of Pokemon.
As cool as it is Fusions isn't feasible. Even if they put in the work. It has the same implications that Ash-Greninja does. That every iterations of Pokemon has countless other forms that will never be obtain or even thought of because time doesn't allow for it.
Every gimmick so far is feasible to continue forward with the franchise if they put in work.
Mega Evolutions: just make a few new ones.
Z-moves: make some more signature moves.
Dynamax: Make the model bigger and maybe a few more knock off megas.
Terastallization: Well when you make a new type just make a new hat.
Fusion can never work and be satisfying on any level.
30th Anniversary is a PEARL anniversary. It'll be a country associated with pearls and has connections to countries that became the insipirations for the other generations.

Dont want a national dex in the first gen 10 games. I want them to follow the idea of gen 5. A soft reboot of sorts, with almost 150 or so new pokemon. A focus on those new pokemon. Then on that next entry you can go wild with a national dex.
But its gen 10. Gimme this vibe of a whole new generation that Gen 5 brought.
Dont even give me regional variants or new evos to old lines. Just straight up brand new roster.
It's more of a breeding mechanic, which to me would be equally as fun. More Pokémon to collect,is awesome.
I don't think GF will create pokefusions.
They value the "each pokemon is unique for someone". If pokemon can fusion, they are not unique anymore, they would be a duo of creatures combined.
