They really are terribly written, though. I think he and Ben both went along explaining the problems with the premises and vagueness of them to show how there's no 'correct' answer to some of them, because it's asking the equivalent of "When will you stop beating your wife?" or "Why are you a racist?"

The questions start out bad, get better, then get bad again.
If you really think making someone buy into a premise to answer a question is a good survey then you shouldn't even be talking.

When Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev spent two weeks in the U.S did that make the U.S Soviet sympathisers?!
I believe the term you are looking for is Diplomatic Relations
And in Sanders case also killing two birds with one stone.
My God critise Bernie Sanders, nobody is above criticism but whenever I hear this honeymoon "talking point",
Whoever made it sounds stupid, and no yeah just really dumb,
It takes five seconds of reading to figure out why, so using it is either lazy or dishonest!

@@stevenengland7244 Vermont had started a Sister city campaign
"Lake Champlain launched a sister-city program with Yaroslavl, located 160 miles northeast of Moscow".
Sanders in his official capacity as Mayor of Burlington, as a gesture of goodwill and in the interest of Diplomatic Relations used this opportunity to visit said City.
To this day many U.S states have Russian sister cities.
What was the appeal for Nikita Khrushchev to visit the United States? Are you saying politicians don't perform diplomatic visits?

Well it's a bit confusing, because one could assume it's in a string of conclusions, like "If children are primarily educated in public schools, then the state controls education. If the state controls education, then students can be indoctrinated in its agenda". We commonly use 'if' even when the statement is something we believe to be fact simply to demonstrate that the conclusion follows from that premise. Michael was assuming the political compass test was presuming economic globalization inevitability as fact. Besides, the political compass test isn't written to illicit one's political philosophy or policy preferences, it's meant to illicit emotional reactions to different alternatives, attempting to classify people politically according to their psychological values. If anything's stupid it's the test.

@@moej3911 that’s not really a valid read, but by sentence was convoluted to some extent.
I’m saying superiority and inferiority are the same thing as preference, which is subjective and personal. Want to go into a tight cave? Being smaller is likely preferable, i.e. superior.
Same thing in reverse with basketball. Same thing also with wine that displays certain characteristics in Italy but also less formally with wines that are aged longer.
To cut to the chase, high melanin is a superior quality for anybody who wishes to endure a high dose of solar irradiation, while avoiding skin cancer as well as skin degradation. Except for the health opposing masochists, for whom the opposite would be true.
Therefore any group, be it genetic, or social, is almost guaranteed to have members who are knowingly, as well as unknowingly, superior and inferior in multiple ways, in contrast to other groups.
And btw, whiteness is an adaptation to lower radiation in northern latitudes. Since less uv light is absorbed by pigment, vit d production is higher. Conversely high melanin in northern latitudes equates to a low vit d status without artificial supplementation.

Ah yes, the hitlerman was totally on the right wing
Despite the fact that Hitler himself led the “national socialist” party, called his country “beyond socialism,” not controlling the companies (because that always leads to economic collapse and he wasn’t *that* stupid) but instead controlling the people.
He considered the people as property to the government, and did a small variation on socialism’s “class warfare” to instead be “race warfare.”
He had a 4 year plan in the latter years of his rule and repeatedly praised Germany’s communist rule in the same.
He also was considering becoming communist himself because of Germany’s apparent success (from the outside) and would’ve jumped on the bandwagon earlier if not for his doubts about the political model.
I just learned a lot of this recently from MisesU (I’ll find the specific video), but he was definitively far left, and it’s a shame to see the outright misinformation from the MSM.
Edit: I believe this one is it.

Some of the questions are slanted
Most of them are slanted! Some right-wingers accuse us of a leftward slant. Some left-wingers accuse us of a rightward slant. But it’s important to realise that this isn’t a survey, and these aren’t questions. They’re propositions - an altogether different proposition. To question the logic of individual ones that irritate you is to miss the point. Some propositions are extreme, and some are more moderate. That’s how we can show you whether you lean towards extremism or moderation on the Compass.
The propositions should not be overthought. Some of them are intentionally vague. Their purpose is to trigger reactions in the mind, measuring feelings and prejudices rather than detailed opinions on policy.

It doesn't say race. It says people should stay with their own kind. That can mean political ideologies, social class, race, religion, basically anything. For example if you answered disagree when it's talking about social class, guess what you support a fascist idea, but if you answer agree when it's referring to race you're a segregationist.

@@marcusvergara6193 keep in mind what the quiz says at the beginning. They don’t want you to think about it, just get an immediate reaction. For me the immediate reaction is agree because I don’t think of race. Some KKK member’s immediate reaction would also be agree, but for the opposite reason. The quiz is tremendously flawed in this sense, and this goes for other questions too, and is really just entertainment.

"What goes on in a private bedroom between consenting adults is no business of the state." The key word there, Michael is "consenting." The man (or woman or whatever is applicable) smacking the partner around and putting out cigarettes on his/her forehead is likely (likely) to be functioning in the realm of non-consent, therefore invalidating the question. And if it is the business of the state, who gets to mandate right or wrong in our bedrooms? That person would be very powerful indeed. Not in my bedroom, thank you very much. I pay my taxes, State, now go away.

The questions were pretty damn basic. Imagine being able to screw up the interpretation of "two consenting adults". He HAS to skew and muddle the meaning of the questions to make the blow of his answers less impactful.
For example, a business should also be responsible for the safety of their employees and their impact on the environment around them, not just delivering profits to shareholders, however if he were to even begin to admit that aspect of it you might begin to question his intentions.

    • @Adam-zy9fv

thats where the "businesses need to be regulated to protect the environment" question comes in. Businesses in a vacuum only need to generate profit, but the government's small role is to protect other parties like employees and the environment.
