I love that store. I have a picture on my wall from there.

I worked in a Restore in Michigan. Oddest thing we sold was a camel saddle.

Your Habitat is so neat and tidy, ours is a mishmash and not inviting to shop at. This journey was very organized and inviting. I enjoyed it very much.

This one unfortunately is not our local one but about 250 miles north of us. But thanks for your kind words.

Whoa, our ReStore doesn't have any thing like that! Old doors and lighting fixtures is about it. Great video, thanks!

The silver lid probably does belong with the dish but what is missing is the glass dish which sits inside the silver bowl. The lid fits that piece. The silver plate or brass would change the flavour of the food ergo the glass (or porcelain) dish and the silverware is for keeping the food warm and for presentation.

Our habitat restore has morphed into some sort of target/home goods clearance shop. All of the cool old stuff is marked NFS and they use it for their decor or to hold the target crap that they’re selling at basically pre clearance prices. I don’t even go in there anymore

That’s too bad. They all are different

Here in London, Ontario in Canada our Habitat stores raised all their prices quite high about 15 years ago and they never dropped the prices. I've also found they won't negotiate either. We have two stores here in London.
About the same time Goodwill raised their prices. It really is ridiculous, though. They were started up originally to help out people who didn't have much money. For clothes and smalls, I usually go to Value Village on Tuesdays where they offer 30% off to people 65 and older.
There are very few stores left that sell second hand furniture. When you do find some (especially upholstered pieces) they have to be checked over very carefully to avoid bed bugs. The stores won't spray for them either.
Overall, I rarely get bargains any more. Darn!

I’m sorry to here that. Our goodwill and Salvation Army has done the same. Their prices are often higher than I can sell them for at the antique mall. Luckily they miss things sometimes and we have some smaller thrift stores around. I primarily get my stuff au garage sales and flea markets. Thanks for watching.

I live in SE Central Florida beach town and our Habitat is not cheap. They also have not been very stocked in the past year yet they have very limited donation times. I live in a town with no other thrift stores and people want to donate but they aren't taking much, so odd. They do have home goods, toys, clothing, jewelry, furniture and building items.

That’s too bad. This one is about 5 hours from our house and is definitely a really good one. They are all definitely different

It definitely depends on what town you are in. Our local one is not as nice also.

If you’re going to do this, you need to slow down and focus on the items.
