12:23 WHAT!? Come on! He's probably the 3rd cutest boi in the game! On a more serious note, I honestly forgot that I asked you a question, so seeing you answer mine, that genuinely caught me off guard. Thank you for sharing, though. If I remember right, I think the reason I asked you that question is because I knew that most of the questions would probably be relating to Danganronpa, but judging from your videos on FNAF and analogue horror, I figured that you might want a little more variety. Plus, you did play a lot of Undertale music in your videos, and you did have that speedpaint of Nagito carrying Sans like a football.
*edit misread the time stamps lol! But I do think Shuichi is cute. Just not as cute as everybody else! (Or rather most of the boys lol) And I do appreciate you asking about Undertale! I was expecting lots of DR (and I’m more than happy to answer those!) but I love talking about other things too!
I got into Ace Attorney this year after checking out Danganronpa and I highly recommend it, it’s a lot of fun and scratches the same itch as DR while being a lot better in my opinion
Huh, most people I know (including myself) are the opposite: got into DR after AA cause they’re similar. And while they’re similar I can’t say that one is better than the other because they’re different enough to where comparisons don’t make much sense to me. They have both been influential on me but Danganronpa 2 more so than anything else, so I probably gravitate more towards that.
SCREAMS I cannot wait for you to play the silly lawyer games!! There’s a lot of content to cover with six games in the mainline and the spin-offs, all with compelling content for all the characters narratively. I know I’ve got tons to say about the games so I know you’ll probably have much more to say 😂 I won’t say much more so you can experience it on your own, but I will say: the lawyers? Gay. Clowns? Take them with a grain of salt (especially game two case three)
So since you drew since High school, was there a drawing that was too difficult for you to finish? It took me 3 hours to draw Zelda and Link from Cadence of Hyrule in MS paint.
Oh there are SO MANY unfinished doodles I have lying around that they make up most of my desktop folder. That’s part of why I use speed draws for background footage when I can - it encourages me to finish even tough projects!
@@thetiniestleaf I just give up and never finsh them. Like Sayaka from DR1 and Edelgard from 3 houses. Apparently I drew the ear behind her hair while trying to draw Edelgard in her academy outfit instead of her war outfit.
Favorite design from DR1 is Toko, underrated design imo, the same body type and outfit have to be applied to both Toko and Jill, and suit them well. Her long dimly colored reserved boring school dress that fits the antisocial and unfashionable Toko also manages to be the perfect compliment to Jill's bombastic self-presentation, and the awkward misfitting dress of a dangerous horror character. Akane's design is great ur rong becuz its cultural gyaru fashion + Junko design parallels + boobs + legs + highlighting and contrasting Akane's unique posture + simple and effective without being plain or unmemorable + still able to be dynamic and expressive despite simplicity + boobs + L + ratio + also have you seen her boobs Tenko has the best design imo. Not even sure what about it is so perfect, it just has the most pleasant and popping color scheme, adorable poofiness and cuteness, her facial features and hair style are really clean and appealing and complement the other elements well, she's just super photogenic. Hajime rules u r so rong abut vrythng how dar u. Hajime is like a vibe-check character. There's not some aspect of his plot that makes him compelling, he just sells his personality really solidly. He's get this subtle but immense meme energy with his self-ironic straight man position, and he's one of the only characters in the series that really sells you on his emotional struggle with the death game they're all participating in. He just feels really masculine in the serious parts of the story and he's dryly hilarious in the rest of the game. Have you seen the beta design for Teruteru? He was originally conceived as an extremely handsome suave anime boy. Although, the irony there of course would be that if somehow that made people feel better about his character, it'd just be that meme of flirting vs harassment with the ugly guy vs the handsome guy hitting on women at work.
Oh yeah Toko’s the perfect balance of looking “plain” while also standing out. It’s the extra level of spice that Sayaka doesn’t have. (Also Akane’s legs are better than the boobs. ) I feel like there’s two distinct fanbases for Hajime and the dry straight man humor is definitely the one I get better. The one that makes him a badass and hot… less so. Yes I’ve seen Teruteru’s beta design! I actually like it less than his current one because it feels more unique and charming… wISH I COULD SAY THE SAME ABOUT HIS PERSONALITY
@@thetiniestleaf 100% on Akane's legs. When I first played DR2 I was like "ew boring design dumb annoying character and Chiaki and Mikan are much more attractive" but then over time on replays I was like "Akane is cool and I want to touch her legs" and now I'm just like "all of your features are perfect Akane please beat me up." I'm with both sides for Hajime, like I said his energy is so raw in the trials that he comes across as extremely tragic masculine. The only thing I don't lile about his design are his weird eyes, but I love the plain white shirt and tie, he's just a guy over his head doing what needs to be done. He's not like some unreasonable hero or trying to do anything great, he just does what the base necessity is to survive, which is difficult and painful, but he does it anyways. He's not super complex but he makes sense and he sells what he is really well. A well executed simple character that you can buy into is better than lofty ideas that barely develop past the initial conception.
For the Ryoma vs Fuyuhiko question, Ryoma’s not the Ultimate Prisoner. He’s the Ultimate Tennis Pro If you got that from the Japanese version, ignore this, this comment doesn’t exist.
I hope I don't hit a nerve with my comment, if I do just delete it, I don't want to cause you prolonged distress, I just wanted to share my thoughts. 35:57 I find it interesting that you noticed how your perception of gay couples got perverted into something fetishizing, I have noticed that in some other girls that I've known (e.g. my ex) and it always weirded me out. I obviously have 0 problems with their ships being nothing but guys and I do not mind shipping in the first place but there's always been a certain off-putting quality to the way those girls talked about their ships, an aura of unease surrounding the way they portrayed them, I could never put my finger on it, but it always felt like an unhealthy obsession to me (in my perfectly subjective opinion that I do not force on anyone). All that is to say, I have a feeling I might just know what you're talking about here and I am really happy that you noticed that and distanced yourself from that kind of obsessive shipping. Again, sorry if this is triggering/unpleasant in any way...
Yep you're right on the money. It is a trend in TYPICALLY more women-centric necks of fandoms, especially with younger people who are just starting to learn more about the LGBT community. Speaking from my time in the UT fandom, there were two different flavors: you basically treated one of the men in the couple as a "woman" (calling him the "wife"/"mom", them being very emotional and "naggy", submissive, etc.) and thus played into some internalized homophobia, or hypersexualized any mlm pairings to the point where they just... made them sex objects. Also don't worry, none of this distresses me. It's just an important part of internet culture that I wish was talked about more and I hope other people don't fall into the same traps I did.
@@thetiniestleaf Wow That’s like so accurate… when my ex was introducing me to her favourite Bungo Stray Dogs Characters she would show me one and ask “do you he think he’s a top or a bottom” and I was like “wha-? How is this relevant and how can I tell from getting one look?” Her twitter friend circle where she discusses this anime/manga is strictly female and she has in fact been in this fandom only 2-3 years or so, and that’s also how long she has been in contact with LGBTQ+ stuff. Like, up until last June she wasn’t even aware of what an agender is… and she found it weird that trans people can be homosexual post-transition… that is to say, she’s not up-to-speed on LGBTQ+ and still has a lot to learn. Do you know if there’s a name for this phenomenon of obsessively fetishizing gay couples? I know that “fujoshi” refers girls who like yaoi but that’s in general, not specifically for the obsessive sort
iirc, fujoshi and yaoi itself is a red flag for many mlm people because that's already reducing your sexuality/being down to a fetish or something like that. If we're being honest, though, it's homophobia, regardless if it's intentional or not. If you're basing someone's personality/character/your love for them entirely around their sexuality and their position in bed, then it's hard to say that you see them as actual people.
