I think if they had combined the rain and bell intro of the official version with all verses and outro of this version, it would have been an even more legendary song.
@@SilverFang2789 no, it would be better if they have put the intro that Tony does in live in Paris in 1970. Now if they combined that WITH the rain and bells then it would be considered illegal lol
So did Walpurgis over War Pigs. If they had used these versions instead of the ones that made it to album, people would have been legitimately terrified.
@@SilverFang2789 I've been trying to tell people for years that the early versions were the best! It took me years to find the "originals," but there is no Sabbath like the early Sabbath!
I first heard this version in the mid 80's on Night Flight during a Black Sabbath Documentary. I bought every Lp, Ep, Greatest Hits, etc album looking for this version. Didn't find it until The Oz Man Cometh. The best version ever...
I wish the song on the album was this long. With the extra polish and gloomy atmosphere of the studio version, this song would be fucking perfection. Even if it meant taking out The Wizard or something, it'd be alright if the title track was roughly 10 minutes long.
I always look for demoversions of classic rock songs because they tend to sound much more raw and powerful and this one definitely speaks for my claim... production was always too clean for albums, especially before the mid 70s when punk became a thing....
I personally like more raw music too, which honestly is why newer music turns me off because it strives to be polished perfectly. It just loses personality in my opinion.
there are songs considered before to be doom metal, but they only contain elements or parts, and are mostly psychidelic rock or other rock genres but with heavy distortion
I can thank my old rocker boyfriend who turn me on to Ozzy. Love him even when he gets deep into his darker side. He is an incredible artist. Very talented man. He's an awesome artist didn't know that until his show with his son and him on a road trip.
When the universe recycles and we once again get to the dark ages in Europe, I want an advanced branch of mankind, a la 'The Village' to play this with full amplification during a witch burning.
Black Sabbath really sat down, decided to invent doom metal, then, to show off, they ended the song by inventing thrash as well
That 3rd Verse is haunting as hell!! 😳
Always loved this version the most.

The first heavy/doom metal song ever and it's a masterpiece !!!
Jesus, that third verse is fucking DARK.
This sounded more evil than the album version

Yes more primitive

It's the 1970s basement tapes version.
I listened this version the 1st time when I was 15. Now I'm 41. It's still pure evil.
Really? Where did you listen to it so long time ago?
Rare, dark and super heavy!
All hail these 4 guys fr. Birmingham
The pure rawness of the guitar in this is beyond insane i Love it!

Lol what they should've done is made a studio version of this and get rid of the long ass guitar solo in the middle of warning
Wizard os one of the best songs, lol.
@@davidmaddox4376 Yeah I do like The Wizard, but an extended Black Sabbath may be even better in my opinion

@@Ori0987 you can say that again, man.
This demo version is the best
There is something special about this version that I cannot describe, it's simply incredible. Gives me chills every time.
Solo at the end always gives me the chills. Amazing song
Best version that I've ever heard!!!
Birth of Heavy Metal
Heard this version on The Ozzman Cometh
This Demo Version is Creeper than the Album Version
One of the Best songs Ever Made
God damn those drums are so heavy... it's insane.
This version is far creepier. And better.
Groundbreaking, genre creating! Love this version!
esta version esta brutal sera esta la previa antes del album debut los riffs estan mas oscuros y deprimentes
I'm scared!!!
This is off Ozzman Cometh!
My coworker told me about this version, and holy shit is it good
One of the earliest "doom metal" song
not one, but THE earliest
I see, so like their first ever song? (demo)
no, but the first song in history that can be called doom metal
I see now, Yes
The genre, Doom metal.
First song genre ever / pioneer of Doom metal.
There are no songs before this song considered "doom metal genre"
there are songs considered before to be doom metal, but they only contain elements or parts, and are mostly psychidelic rock or other rock genres but with heavy distortion
Back in the 70's this song was the the opening to a show called "Shock Theater"...it was 30's - 60's horror shows..
This version is much more powerful! 💯😲
Fucking Great!!! Never heard this Version.
Absolutely wonderful 👍👍 My favorite band of all time!!!! Thanks for the video, love the photos!!! Heavy Metals beginning💯%😀
arranjo emocionante

I really shouldn’t have let the lighter go out.
why'd they take this version off spotify??? its gold
Too spooky
Ozzy's camp has been doing weird shit with his releases recently, and since this is on an Ozzy compilation, it got booted from streaming services.
demo version? sounds like demon version! lol
If you dare, listen to this at night before you go to sleep. But beware...
You may get a visit from a black shape
Aaaarrgggghh..!!
I am a monster..!!
Come with me.. aaaarrgggghh...!!
They should have put the demo recordings on the original record 😊😊😊😊😊
Yes, the demo had to be speeded up a little to make it a little less creepy.
They should have kept this version as the album version
I like this better.
Just need a dagger and a silver chalice and I’m set. 👿
This is the better version
(versão do demo)
That was with Iommi's Stat right?
Chalking up a huge line right now. I wish i could split it up fellas lol.
I forgot
Ohhhhhgnoooooooonoooo. Plssss god hellppppl meeeeee
The music sounds a little like DOA.
Record companies have a tendency too alternate music to fit the public and I think it's BS so let the band have their own way of playing songs 😮😮😮😮😮
