Ahh the old paddles are back! Finally, I can enjoy bricking news once more! Favourite gwp ever is probably the Blacktron Cruiser. I think they nailed it on every level and i just adore the box art
I always enjoy hearing the two of you ramble and rant. Bes tof all this time Lizz came in the room while I was watching and she hears something that was said and goes "Oh, Alex!" While shaking her head. Great to have you back together.
If you take out the monetary value - one of my favorite GWPs was the 60th anniversary - I did like the 60th anniversary of the Lego brick with the micro build of classic sets. The Batmobile was a good one. And I don’t care for ninjago but they had a $60 set you got for free with purchase of the temple of arjitzu
I think my favourite GWP of the year was the mini space builds at the beginning of the year. I loved adding that next to the larger original builds that ive got. Looking forward to the sea market in next years BDP. Great job again glad to see you together again 😊
Alex on Lego video “ I got a couple of technic elements from these 2 McLaren sets and all these 100s from my collection to make a drawbridge” lol First Lego video I’ve seen in a really long time. One of the most mismanaged company social media platforms - they had to mark everything for kids because lawyers
I wonder if some will try to politicize or use the theory of discriminatory economics at some point when complaining about the price of LEGO .... Just thinking out loud.😉😱😂🤨🤔
Complaints about pricing are valid though. Just because you're tired of it doesn't mean it doesn't need to be said. Inflation is a thing, yes, withdoesnt mean their pricing isn't more ridiculous.
My favorite GWP was the micro space set, also the Blacktron Cruiser, heck all the space sets. I would love for more consistent box sizing. Having a way too large backlog all the odd sizes means I have to play tetris every time i make another purchase and have no "SPACE" to fit anything.
I actually got the BDP mushroom house and plan on getting the mushroom village. Along with the Ideas Treehouse and mushroom/acorn CMF, I think this will make a cool little theme for my daughter. Could even be turned into a fantasy castle theme with a little modification
My daughter has an enchanted forest MOC centered around the mushroom/acorn CMFs. She makes non-LEGO mushroom jewelry and other art too. I ordered the BDP mushroom house for her.
Different size and shape boxes look good on the store shelves vs being all the same Boring size. As a collector - I wish they had just a few standard box sizes for most sets to make them easier to store
My favorite GWP set is the microscale gingerbread house from 2019. My favorite so far this year is the jack-o-lantern, but I'm expecting more GWPs around Christmas, and those are usually my favorites.
Got to side with Alex here, nuts in breads or muffins just ruin it and add unnecessary flavor. Also, have either of you tried Cape Cod potato chips? They are the best potato chips to ever exist, please try them on the food segment if you haven’t tried them before
-My favorite so far is the 40597 Scary Pirate Island- it's a nice little set and fun to build No!! the Forestmen one!!! How could I forget??? That one ticked all the boxes for me.
The reason is simple they blurred the background because it is a separate IP. McClaren would have to agree to let SW in their paid ad with LEGO, and then SW would have to agree and I am sure would demand some kind of compensation.
Wow, Jason hits hard with the first rant of the episode. Yes, I agree that Lego has a box issue. If they are gonna make things collectible, at least give us boxes that are the same for the same thing. And no, I don't have any of the lightsabers.
At the moment I only buy what somehow fits into the Lego City/World I am going to build: BDP 3 - I got the Harbormasters Office and the Camping Adventure. BDP 4 - I only like the Seaside Market to go with BDP 5's Tortuga Bay
I live in the Great Lakes region and we go from one extream weather even to another. In Michigan they say if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it'll change.
Jason asked what segments you like on Bricking News. I think my favourite parts are the audience interaction segments, like polls and comments, and especially community commentary. I also really like the Agree to Disagree segment, because it's always good to entertain contrasting ideas, and it gives the audience a topic to comment on. Stuff like food segments and "old guy, new shirt" are fun for some silliness, but I would definitely enjoy seeing more microbuilds, and not just set reviews, but MOC reviews. Either your own MOCs, or ones submitted by the audience, like a more in-depth community commentary.
@@FivertonGal RUclips decided not to tell me I got a reply here.. I sent in a bunch of MOCs a while back, and haven't seen them yet. My TIE Interceptor, some microscale starships, some other vehicles too. Maybe I need to resend them? Could be they got buried and forgotten.
@@TheOtherGuys2 Oh yes, please resubmit. I’m sorry it got missed. Thank you for participating. I do enjoy the community commentary. It’s fun to see what others do.
Alex, about your temple-space problem: you cut it in half or a quarter and you have a temple you can play with (open back/side) 😉 Grtz, SG from Belgium 🇧🇪
yo guys, I think Jang might be a Bricking News viewer. In his review for the Fortnite bus, he was looking inside the bus and he said "plenty of space... the final frontier"
They blurred out the Star Wars sets in Alex's video because they didn't like The Acolyte. You should review classic Lego FabiLand sets on Bricking News. Get Alex some pumpkin spice gummi bears.
This is the second year that I have purchased a bunch of Lego for kids in the Toys for Tots Christmas collection program during the double points in the Fall (like now). The GWP is the pastry shop, Tonya might like it, dressing it up for Christmas?
What a great way to help out the kids. Very generous of you . I saw the pastry shop on the website. I guess we’ll see. No big purchases on the shopping list, though I do need to get this year’s winter collection. Hmm…..
@@FivertonGal thanks. I don’t have people or kids to buy gifts for, so I spend what I would normally spend on gifts and give them to the children. I like helping kids have a good Christmas.
I agree I loved the Forestmen set, haha.. I forgot that it was a GWP. The workshop I did not like, then again the original was after my childhood LEGO years.
I should probably ask this on his channel or on the AFoOLs channel, but if Earl could get the Ghostbuster Firehouse for retail in 2024 in the next town over, would Jason still have to buy it for him, bring it to the east coast, fly back to Utah and then send it to him? Hmmm....
Lego is very inconsistent with their boxes. Star Wars battle packs haven’t been the same size for years. The miniature shop GWPs are all different sizes
I call that type of box a puzzle box. I think Jaabo has hundreds of those LEGO game set boxes that he turned inside out.😂 I've purchased over the years a few of the Hasbro Black Series and Retro action figures, but, I find the older I get the easier it is to focus on LEGO and books. I was looking at a Transformer Hasbro toy at a store and it was $50, and I said I don't need it, I'd prefer building Transformers out of LEGO now because, hopefully, there will be more coming from LEGO in 2025. I still appreciate the LEGO Star Wars video games, I found those to be a great way to expand my interest in Star Wars and the LEGO sets in general, whereas, I disliked; for various reasons, playing the video game Empire at War.
I don't think LEGO is a kids toy at all. I think it is made for all ages. That why there are themes and sets for all ages. Prices are getting out of hand, but just because something started out aimed at kids, does not mean that is what it always has to be.
You young guys. In 1992 I had graduated, spent 4yrs in the Army, and then worked for the US Postal Service for 4yrs. Not to mention being married and divorced.😂
Does Lego need to hit over the head to realize that the community is obsessed with Castle? What are they waiting for ? We need more affordable and easily accessible castle sets. Starting with faction battle packs and castle accessory sets. It’s no surprise that all those castle themes sell out. Even at high end prices. 🙄🙄
Wow, Alex really blushed at the thought of the bird getting the worm. That's an interesting shade of red.
Ahh the old paddles are back! Finally, I can enjoy bricking news once more!

It was impressive that Jason built that set during the marathon. But that is unique Lego content.

50:00 Here in Austria I now and then indulge in a "Nusskipfel" especially the homemade ones are good.
You guys should do a segment where you do a parody of Lego Lifestyle photos for all your MOCS. Just do like one or two crazy ones every week.
So tired of complaints about prices. Yes it’s expensive. It always been expensive. Everything today is more than it was in 2019. Everything 😊

Transilvania castle might also be ok in the amusement park although Alex had already removed Disney castle due to “space” issue

The boxes are easy to fold without cutting or anything like that. simply fold it in as intended. respect jason for the marathon.
Utah Spring and Fall are each about two weeks each
So true. And we are at it again this week. 80 to 51 in less than 24 hrs. There should be plenty of wet, soggy leaves to rake up this weekend.
