King Curtis wrestled Bruno in the late 60s, albeit as Prince Iaukea. I saw Curtis at MSG vs Morales in 1972, and he was a believable heel. But, it was the set-up for this match at the previous MSG show which I'll remember forever. I was in the first row and it was Curtis vs Monsoon to prepare Curtis for Morales. Curtis broke a wood chair and hit Monsoon with the jagged piece. Monsoon bladed and hit an artery. Laying on his back, the blood was spurting up into the air every time Monsoon's heart beat. It was scary.

I saw Bruno wrestle Curtis at the Worcester Auditorium in 60"s as a 14 year old. Great match. Curtis caught in ropes and counted out. Actually ran into Curtis in Hallway and he asked my brother and me where the restrooms where.

Ah, yes, the old Worcester Memorial Auditorium. Great memories in the very early 80s for me. The old curtain, stage, and stairs. The good guys came out the right side and the bad guys out of the left side as I remember. Bruno once fell through the broken ropes as I was told and was counted out. I don't know if it was in Worcester or Boston.

I just saw this match the other day. So funny he doesn't even remember it, but then acts like it would be the biggest honor.

@@cys-fi6230 To be fair Jake was working at least 300 days out of the year, sometimes twice a day. Who could remember a six man tag team match from a house show from 35 years ago? No one remembers the very first Royal Rumble October 1987 including the man who won it, the One Man Gang.
