I think vegito is more of a "balance" unit in terms of defense & offense. Because he gets more SAs consistenly than gogeta. While gogeta active skills hits so hard because it crits. Don't get me wrong, Gogeta defense can get as much as vegito. But Vegito is much more consistent with his many SAs, resulting having more defense. Basically : Vegito = An Offensive God, does SAs a million times resulting reallyyyy high defense Gogeta = A BIGGER Offensive God / CRIT God / HARDEST HITTING ACTIVE SKILL GOD, have very good defense but not as high and consistent as Vegito But...
