Honestly Mansion 2 HD isn’t a horrible remake, it’s still fun and I would recommend it to people who never played Dark Moon originally on the 3DS
But the $60 price is horrible considering that Dark Moon originally retailed for $40 back in 2013 (even with inflation now) and I personally wouldn’t recommend the game if you already own it on the 3DS.
I don't like the mission structure because you constantly come across things that don't have any purpose in THIS mission. It gets really tiring.
But if you wanna be thorough, you have to check all the things in all the rooms in every mission, because you never know if an older room might have money hidden in it again.
Either let me explore everything in one go or actually segment the mansion into separate chunks. But don't keep adding more and more rooms for me to re-check every single mission.
That's what I like about the first and third game. Once I've fully cleared out a room, it stays that way for the rest of the game.
I'm not expected to keep coming back to it later.
If a new mission actually cut you off from all the older rooms, then I wouldn't have to worry about that stuff. But as far as I can remember, the game only does that a few times.
I'm sorry, how is it a "very flawed remaster" and having """"several issues"""" when the only problem is just the lighting, no extra content, and the price? How is that a several amount of issues?
Could it have better lighting? Sure; should it be $40? I think so; should they have added more content? Absolutely; but that doesn't mean it's a bad remaster let alone being flawed, and the video title is even clickbaity tbh bc that almost doesn't reflect the entire game.
The only ways a remaster would be fundamentally flawed is if the devs damage the fundamental game itself and its experience by changing how a game plays, the balancing of certain mechanics or other things, removal of content, glitches, crashes and all sorts of technical issues the original version never had, etc, that's what can make a remaster fundamentally flawed and Dark Moon/2 HD isn't one of those types of remasters no matter how people wanna overexaggerate about it being """""""bad"""""""""
It honestly looks pretty solid in the grand scheme and it doesn't look worse than the original for the most part especially since the animations look better too.
The controls are much better as well since you can use the right stick now for aiming instead of forced motion controls like in the original, the original didn't even got updated to use the c stick on New 3DS models, so it already has something going for there.
People can debate the price all they want since value is subjective, but I think this is hardly a bad rerelease at all especially since it was not intended to be anything major, the devs did they best they could and they did an alright job and it's the best way to play it no matter what anyone thinks about it.
Ya true, I’ll be completely honest I’m not good at making video Titles so I’ve been just doing titles left and right and as for the whole flawed thing, ya I do agree that very flawed is over exaggerated
As for the whole pricing thing I do see the argument with that, but personally with this remaster I was satisfied by just playing Luigi’s Mansion 2 again but at the same time in terms of recommendation I say it’s best to get it when it’s on sale

Glad you at least see the good in it rather than only looking at the bad and yeah, I do agree that people can wait for a sale if they so please.
You don't need to overexaggerate in RUclips video titles to get views lol, it's okay to have honesty in what you're putting instead of focusing too much on the views.
@@diegoestrada4389 Ya, I honestly do feel like with Dark Moon it’s a good indicator for Nintendo that they might do more 3DS Re Releases in the future with these hd remasters since I feel like re releases like the 3DS isn’t just something they could put on the NSO and call it a day as it requires a lot of reworking and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD shows good potential on what Nintendo could do especially since with how many great gems are on that console

We should be advocating for official rereleases instead of being against them especially since most people don't know anything about modding at all and the 3DS eShop is gone, we need every game to be preserved officially in any capacity even if it takes charging full price for it.
Game preservation matters so much and people shouldn't be taking it for granted just bc of them simply existing on the market.
