Definitely do her Killing Voice video. That video went viral in Korea when it came out, becoming one of the years most watched videos. Tons of idols, celebrities were talking about it and sharing it on sns.
Taeyeon has released 3 full albums so far and, personally, I still can't say which one of the three is my most or least favorite. I know I'm not alone in that, the fandom is pretty divided on which one is THE one, so in that sense, the other 2 could possibly live up to your expectations and even exceed them. But on the other hand, not one of these albums is like the other, so if you go in expecting the very same thing, you may be disappointed. Out of the 3, "INVU" is the dreamiest, the most consistent conceptually and the most deliberately produced. "Purpose Repackage" is her darkest and most personal album so far but it also has uplifting and euphoric moments. "My Voice Deluxe", her first, was an exploration and lacked maturity and stylistic consistency of the others but it didn't lack depth and beauty and some of her most beloved songs come from there. These albums have very different atmosphere and character but each is wonderful in its own way. To cover everything Taeyeon sings in Killing Voice you'd need to go through both of her other studio albums in full repackage versions: "My Voice Deluxe" (16 tracks) and "Purpose Repackage" (17 tracks), her mini-albums: "I" and "What Do I Call You", singles "Rain" and "Happy" and a couple of OSTs: "If" and "All About You". She does not sing any of the songs in full though, so you could treat it as a taster and decide if you want to check those albums in full based on that.
I really enjoyed going on this journey with you and hearing you commentary . Taeyeon’s whole discography is top tier. You should check out her Dingo performance it’s a great introduction to her discography and vocality but two things I think you should really check out is her Purpose album (plus the repackage) and her Begin Again 3 performances (she’s and other musician go busking in Europe and the performances are great). Ive never been good at articulating why I love certain things in music, but the best I can come up with is that Taeyeon always puts me through the emotional ringer with every release 😂 her absolutely beautiful voice is unrivalled for me & the way she effortlessly transitions and switches between styles blows me away. I really can’t recommend enough checking out all her other releases, even on your own time. Invu is a masterpiece, but her other albums are too. My ult bias, always 💙
Killing voice is a good starter for you because it consists almost her masterpiece songs. But if you want to see her darker side, you should watch I Got Love mv & live performance. LOL song is recommended too..it's a b-side so no mv but her performance in concert is so so good.
I'm so glad you loved this album as much as I did! I can't wait for you to explore more of her discography because all her other albums are just as beautiful as INVU. I do think you should watch her killing voice performance first so that you can get a feel of what each of her albums are like because she explores so many genres. When I first got into taeyeon I went into her discography in chronological order so I think it would be easier for you to do the same if youre planning on doing a full discography dive, but if not then I'd definitely suggest you check our her 2nd full album, Purpose, which in my opinion is better than INVU album (it was a very long and tough battle for me to choose which one I liked more btw and sometimes i still change my mind). So excited for you to dive more into her! She's become one of my favourite artists of all time even outside of kpop and I know so many others who say the same

Wait, you have not seen her solo debut MV for her song called 'I' ? Weird. Thought you had covered that one. She smiled really big in that one and it is not the only MV like that for her. :)
I was, never imagine such a song with title "ending credits" would be this good 😅 Just like usual ending credits after the movie end, the only part I skip and skip just for looking if there any additional scene or spoiler for the next movie. But Taeyeon's ending credits is no skip, this song is so good. 😊
Its a long, ongoing battle among fans to choose her best album 😅 Personally, I would go for My Voice, her 1st album, just because my ultimate song of hers, Timelapse is in that album.. But, Purpose killed me (in a good way) too.. I cried a lot for that album.. INVU took me on a journey of self healing, I would say.. Ending Credits become my strength to move on from a broken relationship.. So, what I'm saying is there's no escaping once you got caught in Taeyeon's musical web.. Trust me, you won't regret it.. But, recommendation wise, I suggest that you watched her Killing Voice.. It's like Taeyeon's music buffet.. ❤

As good as the songs in this album are.. Purpose repacked (her 2nd full album) will always be the best for me. Its Taeyeon in her full diva glory and the instrumentals are just my style.. a bit french, a bit whimsical, a bit sentimental in a classic Taeyeon bombastic singing style. Only 2 songs in that I did not care to seek and those fit more in INVU. INVU is just too on the surface for me and half of the album I tend to not seek on my own.
