      Not true... There are many videos where coaches are telling about this. For example Ti Long or EmRatThich.

    big fan of your videos! been watching them for a long time now !
    one question i have is how to be more aggressive during games? I think during training it is easy to attack. However when it comes to games i feel i am much more passive.
    Could you please elaborate on the footwork after short receives?
    Specifically, what is the correct foot work to get into position after a short push? (you can assume that i push long so that i can prep for a long ball.)
    Would be great if you could cover this topic as it seems to be a common problem in intermediate levels :)
    Great work and looking forward to more videos !

      Thanks for your comment! It takes time to be more aggressive in matches. One way to overcome the problem of being too passive is not to worry too much about missing your shots and believe in yourself, this way you will be more confident and play better! As you receive (eg. push) you step in with your dominant leg, after you have played the shot, step out with the same dominant leg so both legs are about the same level as each other (to be ready for the next shot). If you are better with your forehand you can place your dominant foot even further back, to prepare for a forehand attack.
      Hope this helps!

    Great video, but have some questions: what difference on half long ball and counterspin

    • @rationalttanalysis
      @rationalttanalysis  21 день назад

      Half long balls are shorter so you need more wrist movement to create that arc for the ball to travel over the net. For counterspin, there is (presumably) a lot of spin from the opponent, so ideally close your racket angle and lean forward to be able to withstand the spin.

    Thanks. I have a couple of questions if you could help,
    1) normal topspin: arm above the table means actively lifting it? What do you mean by the blade being parallel to the ball, how parallel?
    2) against backspin: here you say the arm should be at table level, not letting the arm down, instead body down.. Confused..I see the coaches in the video letting their arm with the pad freely down (head pointing down and arm is almost stretched at 03:00)..?
    Wouldn't be better to let the arm relaxed freely down while keeping it bent at elbow and then control the height of the pad with the body (knee+hip bent) depending on the coming spin..? For normal topspin the pad would probably be at knee height or behind the thigh and against backspin below the knee.. Sure unless the ball is coming fast or with a lot of topspin then I think actively lifting the arm to be above the table would be better to catch the ball in time
    Would be nice if you could reply

      Thanks for your questions.
      1) Arm above the table means your arm remains above the table at most / all times during topspin shots. You don't have to drop it between shots and keep lifting it. Just keep on top of the table to be more efficient. The blade is always behind the ball, at a horizontal angle.
      2) What I mean is that as your body drops down, you arm will naturally drop slightly, so don't need to deliberately drop your arms. Sorry for any ambiguity.
      Yes your suggestions are valid. For topspin rallies I still think it is better to keep your racket above the table for quick exchange. Ultimately, it comes down to what works best for you.
      Hope this helps!

    On topspin My shoulder is working, how to turn it off, can you give me advise

    • @aalsolaiman
      @aalsolaiman 6 месяцев назад

      My coach Coach din helped me fixing this,
      He first told me to do a 360 spin, where you spin and rotate 360 around yourself, it sounded weird but i did it, after doing it for few times he told me to do it half only, 180 degree, from there on I started rotating my hips properly and my top spin improved a bit. Then he told me to shadow this kind of movement in home. And it worked fine for me as of now I seen the improvement. So you can try this 360 technique and see if it works for you.

      @@user-vc7zk9tv4ddude if you use shoulder too much in fh topspin then you definitely have problems with weight transfer :)

      try to make sure your elbow isn't moving when playing the shot, this way your shoulder won't move too!

    Instruction: keep your arm up and above the table. Demonstration: drops the arm down by the knee 😂

      90% of instructions in such videos are self-contradictory, bad, or just plain wrong.
