Not to worry, he has since released 10 albums and won a Grammy for "Best Bluegrass Album" and has been honored with the National Heritage Fellowship, the highest honor awarded by the US Government's National Endowment of the Arts. So his musical career is more than just fine!

His lack of vision must of directly transferred to hearing... I have been playing music since I was a kid, and it helps me to close my eyes to listen to every note. His hearing must be on a completely different level... When he is playing it must be so peaceful.

When his mother was pregnant w/him, the dr advised her to get an abortion b/c he would be born deformed. She said "NO!!!" He was born w/congenital glaucoma. Its'a VERY sad and evil state of affairs when babies need to be in perfect physical condition to live!!!!
