    Isn’t this just how the American work culture is now? Everyone’s on edge from layoffs and toxic managers/executives.

      👀 Now? This has been the American work culture for DECADES. It's just being highlighted now. Social media allows people to speak out without being seen, harassed, or scared to be honest

    Companies can probably start by paying their workers better wages as opposed to engaging in stock buybacks or only giving obscene raises for those higher up. Stop trying to fight remote work if there’s literally no point to being in the office at all ever. Stop trying to exploit your workers for maximum profit at the heavy cost of their and the planets long term health and well being. Stop taking life insurance out on your employees just in case you ever accidentally overwork them to death. Stop trying to nickel and dime your employees, who are supposed to be there to help you make money, not by stealing from their own wages.

    This isn’t just psychological or cultural. Imagine being an engineer at Boeing know the firm is cutting corners and putting profits above safety and you’re being told to “be positive”.

    the constant positivity is gaslighting to people who need to talk about something negative. Makes them feel like they are in the wrong for having feelings

    Companies put out memos with a lot of blah blah about teamwork and we employees see right through this layer of bs and gaslighting. Meanwhile the jerks and bullies get promoted and the rest of us are doing the work. Do they think we don’t see what’s going on? Geesh.

    Yes exactly this. I also call it “bypassing “. You aren’t being positive when you bring up anything that could seem negative so then it’s avoided and replaced with vacuous positivity. On the surface and only sometimes.. whatever.. but always every day? Dangerous and unhealthy. Annoying and disingenuous. Etc

    Companies generally treat their employees like garbage, unless it's a really small company. Been laid off 4 times, for reasons having nothing to do with the quality of my work or the way I treated other people. There's a reason things like glossing and quiet quitting are a thing. I never did either, but, there's much dishonesty to be found in most work environments, in my experience, and that's been true forever. Most companies don't care at all about their employees, and now they're actively subverting them with fake job postings.

    • @user-wc5lw7ps6h1
      @user-wc5lw7ps6h1 Месяц назад +2

      Poisonous
      Toxic can mean something is poisonous or harmful to the body, and can cause unwanted side effects or death. For example, certain plants are toxic if eaten, and some chemicals can be found in hazardous waste sites that are toxic to people.
      Low value
      Toxic can also mean something has lost so much value that it can't be sold on the market. For example, toxic assets or toxic subprime loans.
      Toxic people
      Toxic can also describe people who are controlling, manipulative, or abusive. Some signs of a toxic person include
