I have already made a storyboard for a DCS cinematic using this music, but you overtook me, mine is far from done. I really liked the style of this, and how you showed the contrast of modern day warfare against WW2, it was very good.
Man i gotta say it, its maybe not perfect, but its AMAZING, the loved that part at 1:10 and 1:18 u could feel the power on those wings dude, + the transicion in the minute 1:30 with both planes looking from the same angle as it turns, cant stop watching those dogfights either, the moment that f14 encounters the bandit feels just soo powerful thru the cockpit view and air disturbance, mate its just something else, cant wait for more!
the amount of effort that goes into clips that only last seconds.. incredible. If you've ever tried to make something like this, you know how hard it is.
I must have seen these historical clips 100s of times since I was a kid at the very least. But seeing that footage juxtaposed with DCS and how accurate you were with is honestly incredible. Seriously, WELL DONE!
Absolutely magnificent! Only critique I have is that the audio mixing could be a bit better, at some point it's a bit too much. But that's a very minor point! Great movie!
Really appreciate the feedback! I fully agree, since the release that's been my biggest regret. I think after hearing the music and clips over and over during editing 'desensitised' me to what people would hear first time. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to leave a comment and your honesty helps so much more than you know. o7
On aircraft where the tracks are broken I record whilst flying, which takes a lot of time. So the F-14 scene and most P-51 scenes are recorded like this. Hope that helps!
Nice! Very good job of editing. I can't comment on the historical accuracy but it was very enjoyable to watch. Obviously a lot of work went into creating this. I appreciate your efforts! Well done!
Awesome! I love your videos. Personally my favorite will always be Defcon with the “rage into the darkness” soundtrack. I’m making my own cinematic series with DCS, do you have any tips to share
Thanks for the kind words! And you’ll be happy to know my next project will probably be Defcon 2! I think the only advice I’d give would be patience and practice… it’s a long process to film record and edit but after practice it’s more intuitive. And I’d say start small and simple and learn from each step and build your style and technique… a bit of a vague reply but hopefully that helped is some way? Here’s my discord: Wst#3300 if you have any questions feel free to send a message my way!
you know what im going to say so i wont!!!!!how many times can i press like on this one?only once?too bad....a very professional work by a very well known cinematographer and an extremely very good guy bravo my friend you are the best from all of us!!!!
to be fair, those were the Navys only 2 kills during the gulf war because they werent flying CAP over the mainland. Pretty sure the F-14s werent even flying escort for the Prowlers or Hornets, they were almost exclusively doing fleet defense. The Navy and Marines would hook up with the airforce and get escorted by F-15s. I'm also pretty sure that the F-16 didn't get any air to air kills even though it was the most numerous US fighter and considered the work-horse of the gulf war, it wasn't that its not capable, just like the Navy would have been able to score more kills if their mission would have been air superiority, but it wasnt. So the F-15c got nearly all the kills because that was their only mission, and that was were all the Iraqi aircraft were.
Thanks for the feedback! Tuned it down before the video released but as you said a little more would have been better. Really appreciate you taking the time to write this comment, and have a great day!
Thanks for the kind words! I didn’t realise you could transfer the skins across until after I finished, otherwise the A would have been there instead. Thanks for the feedback!
hey great video, i am trying to make my own cinimatic but the quality seems very blurry, i am recording at 1920x1080 at 60fps through OBS. do you have any tips on this?
music or sound effects, both at the same volume just sounds like noise. The music is quite good, i would recommend halving or even dropping the effect volumes by 75% and the video would be much easier to listen to.
Could you please enlighten me on how you got the view in the B17 of the bombs and door opening? I can use F4 view but can't seem to manipulate the F4 view like I can on the F18. If the B17 is stationary on the ground I can scroll wheel the F11 view all over the B17s cabins but not when its flying. Great vid
Thanks for the kind words! So I spawn in a player controlled aircraft (of your choosing (where you can manipulate the F4 camera)) and then just change the view to the B17 then it works. Hope that helps!
can I contact you? I’ve tried making cinematics before and am working on another one as part of a school art project, I’d love to get some tips for video effects, and getting great shots for the choreography!
Just saw the "Apex Predators" War Thunder update trailer yesterday. Now I refuse to believe Gajin's art directors didn't knew about this video.
Underrated this video should deserve millions of views
Absolutely
The legacy Hornet is such an awesome strike fighter. Thank you for showing it some love (amongst other iconic jets). Great video!
Immediately thought of this video after the most recent War Thunder trailer used this song

Thanks for the kind words! But please don't make this discourage you, its a great song and I'm sure what you'll make will be even better! S!
Looks even better in a higher resolution. Amazing video as always! Keep up your great work.
Thanks a lot man, and for tuning in for the premier! S!
Exceptional - esp since based on history. Very nicely done on the "old camera" footage - that's quite difficult to pull off.
I came two years later, to tell you that i LOVE YOU
Title of your sex tape 🔥🔥🔥 LOVE YOU MORE TRICKER
2:36 chills during that entire sequence!
''ode to Mongo''
Chills. I love how you tied together the V1 site strike with the SCUD hunting. Fit very well.
Wow Those P51s Looked Absolutely Beautiful and The Graphics with Hornets OMG. GREAT VIDEO

By far my favourite DCS cinematic creator, this was really nice as always.
why am I going into a cinema if I can watch this for free. It's sooo good!!!
Love the way you incorporate editing in your cinematics,
Great work as always!
Epic as usual. Nothing more to say. S!

I'm scared of how realistic DCS is
This channel has produced some of the most amazing DCS Cinematics I have ever seen, great work you guys!
Man new war thunder update looks good 😂😂, jokes aside awesome cinematic dude, SFX and comm chatter in the background was really good 👌
Nice X2. I still don't know how you have the patience to deal with the replay/camera system. Hats off to ya.
How do you make such good videos when the replay tracks are basically broken
On aircraft where the tracks are broken I record whilst flying, which takes a lot of time. So the F-14 scene and most P-51 scenes are recorded like this. Hope that helps!
You're post production work keeps getting better and better! Awesome work, again!
This is one of best cinematic for DCS, love the edits gets me fired up to play again this weekend
Congratulations! The video was beautiful! But I can't wait for the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet enter service on DCS! :)
Loved the f-18s in the carriers lift.
Outstanding.
One if the best DCS cinematic so far.
Nice work !

I can say only one thing: this is amazing!
Where do you source all the audio clips? Also, epic as usual
I find all the audio on RUclips just by searching up specific things I.e. ‘air combat air to air radio communications’. And thanks for the kind words!
you know what im going to say so i wont!!!!!how many times can i press like on this one?only once?too bad....a very professional work by a very well known cinematographer and an extremely very good guy bravo my friend you are the best from all of us!!!!

I needed a change of pants after this
That was a great story, not just cool A2A shots strung together. Nicely done.
Wow, this is purely amazing. Definitely subscribing.
Masterpiece! I really want to see you doing the Eurofighter videos for HB, that would be a dream.
21:9! Thanks you!!!)
No problem! I see you're a man of culture too ;)
this would have been acool trailer for the game
Perfect title.
Cool Cinema
Man is always goated with the edits
Great video, thx.
Really awesome.
Just personal preference, I would have tuned down a bit in-game sound in favor of the soundtrack, not by much, just a bit.
Congrats.

Very well done cinematic, loved it!
One small note: Those Iranian F-14's are B's, Iran only had/has A's

Damn, Amazing Video. Keep it up!
Hats of to you, this stirs the soul.
A bit late, but great job balancing cinematic views and music with the re-enactments. The radio chatters make for a good rush.
It’s never too late! Thanks for the kind words and the feedback means more than you know. S!
Amazing video as always
Great job on this one, thumbs up!

Not sure what’s going wrong… there are a tonne of useful OBS tutorials so I can only recommend going through those.
