One rifle I don't like to shoot too often Is my Daewoo as if the barrel gets shot out or a part breaks. That's it.... They are still being made I just don't know why nobody imports them. I always wondered why arsenal stopped the stamped guns. Did they stop production? I worked out some of the prices for rifles and ammo, AKs and milsurp and the investment on them, it's better than gold I picked up the folder many years back, a relative of mine that's an FFL pretty much whores surplus kits and stuff like Siaga rifles when they come in cheap so plenty of surplus comblock ammo, he made a small fortune from hoarding Chinese AKs in the 80s and 90s I have a couple of 5.45 guns that I shoot with a converted siaga being the most common but I don't realy shoot them and while I have a personal large amount of 7N6 and my uncle has stacks and stacks (at least 100 wood crates he purchased when it was sub 10c, same with tok ammo, and 54r) when 7N6 was banned I stopped shooting it as I knew it would not come back, the commercial russian 5.45 ammo was pretty bad apart from golden tiger and some Romanian stuff. I feel very guilty shooting a round of 7N6 as it's pretty much collectors ammo that will never come back. Unless the war in Ukraine ends 5.45 is now just a collectors cartridge that's very expensive, all freindly nations that produce it (not many) as in Romania, privi, and some central Asian nations it's all being sent to Ukraine. Maybe after the conflict ends and if Russia decides to play nice maybe it will come back. While the AK and 7.62x39 will not go anywhere soon a time will come when for example FB Radom stops production for a more modern rifle and if they do then WBP while they make decent parts kits won't be good without the milspec FB barrel. Zastava may also move from AKs and the same with Romania. It's why I had to get 2 FB beryl rifles 1 in 5.56 and another in 7.62x39, as it's one of the few AK service rifles that are imported. When ZUSA came out the the M70 and M90 I felt I just had to get them and while the M90 is not the M21 service rifle it's close. I have some Romanian AKs and while the 7.62x39 romarm cugir 16" and 12" are still used as a backup and guard rifle the WASR and full length Draco are really the only milspec AKM pattern of rifles made by a military factory that are still being imported. I was kind of happy to know they where making a new 5.56 version of the WASR but the barrel is not up to spec, same with WBP Hard to say if WBP is a military producer as they only do small contracts and while the parts kits seem good they won't have the collector value of other rifles. Alot of nations have potential untapped imports for firearms and ammunition like Vietnam. India, Korea and well so many. It would be nice if the ban on Chinese imports had a sunset but I doubt that will ever happen l, I really want a QBZ191
Thanks but I am not probably your target audience? I am into milsurp and replica building. Honestly IMO, the AK is an outdated platform; much like the M1 Garand or FAL. I think FB-Radom modernized it about as far as was realistic. Beyond that? its just time for a new weapons system.
I have the AK74 but in 5.56/.223, it shoots exactly as flat as yours in 5.45. You can shoot a lot and not feel bad about wasting the ammo, just an idea
545 by far still my favorite cartridge. People always argue 556 is way better as far as accuracy and ballistics. But the simple fact is we were getting military surplus in the u.s. where here in the u.s. we have way better ammo for 556 that's made to be accurate and made better ballistics. If u take military surplus 556 and surplus 545 u are going get pretty equal results. My oppinion 545 has way better ballistics as far as flesh because it's a long skinny round that hits its target and flips instead of just blowing a strait hole in something. And as far as recoil 545 for the win all day it's just a softer round when it comes to recoil. To me for a rifle cartridge as far as recoil 545 is very hard to beat. So Sad I can't shoot my 545 aks as much as I used to tho. I keep hoping PSA will release there's I don't care if it's 50 or 60 cents a round we just need it. I just want it available when I want to buy some to go have fun with. Great content as always Misha. I kick myself in the teeth everyday I had a chance to buy a 105 a long time ago and never heard of the 105 from arsenal. Agree with you on the recoil. Not sure about accuracy. We never relaly got the newer/modern Russian milspec 545x39 stuff here. The reason we got the 7n6 stuff was it was older stocks that Russia was getting rid of. Thank god for it being in those span cans though!
5.56 doesn’t just blow a hole into and through flesh does it? I thought the 5.56 yaws, tumbles and causes a larger wound channel. Overall more tissue damage than 7.62x39. I’m sure the 5.45 does the same. Which is better inflicting tissue damage?

Unfortunately, its not really based on any specific military rifle. It would be great if they did something close to a Tantal though.
Yeah, the AKM muzzle is a strange fit.
It's probably technically closest to a Roamian PA.md.86, WASR-2 or AIMS-74, but without the dong grip.
@@O8V2a1 Arms of america does 90 degree gas block and 24mm fsb conversions to their 5.45 Jacks, same with their 5.56. Had it done to do my Ak 101 build
One rifle I don't like to shoot too often Is my Daewoo as if the barrel gets shot out or a part breaks. That's it....
They are still being made I just don't know why nobody imports them.
I always wondered why arsenal stopped the stamped guns. Did they stop production?
I worked out some of the prices for rifles and ammo, AKs and milsurp and the investment on them, it's better than gold
I picked up the folder many years back, a relative of mine that's an FFL pretty much whores surplus kits and stuff like Siaga rifles when they come in cheap so plenty of surplus comblock ammo, he made a small fortune from hoarding Chinese AKs in the 80s and 90s
I have a couple of 5.45 guns that I shoot with a converted siaga being the most common but I don't realy shoot them and while I have a personal large amount of 7N6 and my uncle has stacks and stacks (at least 100 wood crates he purchased when it was sub 10c, same with tok ammo, and 54r) when 7N6 was banned I stopped shooting it as I knew it would not come back, the commercial russian 5.45 ammo was pretty bad apart from golden tiger and some Romanian stuff.
I was kind of happy to know they where making a new 5.56 version of the WASR but the barrel is not up to spec, same with WBP
Hard to say if WBP is a military producer as they only do small contracts and while the parts kits seem good they won't have the collector value of other rifles.
Alot of nations have potential untapped imports for firearms and ammunition like Vietnam. India, Korea and well so many.
It would be nice if the ban on Chinese imports had a sunset but I doubt that will ever happen l, I really want a QBZ191
Those Arsenal AK74 are *chefs kiss*
Reddish brown furniture 74s are some of the peak AKs 😯
The color is plum.
Bro. I designed a new furniture style for the ak platform. I would love to hear your opinion on my improvements to the system.
Thanks but I am not probably your target audience? I am into milsurp and replica building. Honestly IMO, the AK is an outdated platform; much like the M1 Garand or FAL. I think FB-Radom modernized it about as far as was realistic. Beyond that? its just time for a new weapons system.
Oh come on, there’s plenty of 5.45 if you look around. I just got rid of a 1000 rounds 😊
@JohnRambo-zz6gy And there's the sticking point. Can it be found at prices that make it viable to plink with?
@@misha5670nah boomers want 700+ for a single tin
You got people selling the 104fr for 5k now lol it's insane, they've all lost their ever loving minds.
Tantal with OG barrel. Its a shame it doesent get used more.
Norma is making 5.45x39 ammo. 60grain. I'm thinking of trying some.
I have the AK74 but in 5.56/.223, it shoots exactly as flat as yours in 5.45. You can shoot a lot and not feel bad about wasting the ammo, just an idea
sure, there are 556 options. Personally, i prefer the Beryl for that.
Its not as cool though. I like my 5.56 M90 but its just not as fun as the WBP 5.45
@@misha5670 Hey Misha does Poland or any other militaries use the Beryl sidefolder?
So I thought the guy didn't no what he was talking about and it was in Texas I didn't feel like driving that far to look at it from Mississippi. Then probly a week later I seen your first video on it and understood what it was then. And called the guy but he done sold it. You live you learn. Been following your channel a long time Misha probly 7 years now. Please keep up the good ak content Misha. Your knowledge has saved me alot of money for sure.
@@markp4401 compared to 556 its more of a strait wound where 545 flips and curves. Is what I meant I no the whole point or 556 is fragmentation
@@misha5670 yea man those days are gone unfortunately. That's what I was saying compared to compare accuracy here in the u.s. with 556 against 545 with cheap military ammo

Ello!
I had seen some telaammo 5.45x39mm for $189.00 per 300 rounds at Atlanticfirearms just now. So far, the lowest price I've seen yet.
And that's not terribly far off from .308 prices these days sadly.
can get a san swiss sg-55x for not much more money than the going price of these now!
exactly....sad
You ever get mad at this guy and just give him the wrong guns for the vid ?..... lol.... just playing!.... i like these vids ive learned alot..
Do you think folks hand me guns? Nah, i pick everything out myself. Heck others wouldn't even know where to find my stuff at ;p
Due to your last remarks, I said probably get out. My PM's 64 from 1976.
Sorry, not sure I follow? But yep, i love the PM64 model RPK and the AES10B is a great import. We're lucky to have received those. I only wish a 5.45 version would have come in over the years but alas.
Why half my AKs are 556. Love me some small bore, but i cant afford 545.
everyone talks about how 545 used to be cheap... it's 60cents a round right now sept of 2024 so how much was "cheap" and when?
my old orders through SGAmmo are from 2016 $164 for a 750rnd case of wolf milspec ammo
@@caseydman4651 When i bought my SAR2, i could get a case of Wolf for around $120. Surplus 7n6 went under $0.10 per round for a little bit there as well. Time passes, things change. This is just life. I am thankful to have been around back then is all.
You could get a case of $2160 for like $180-$220. It was dirt cheap. I am very thankful to have been around for the cheap 5.45. This was around the 2009-2012/13 era I’m thinking of.
Some years back $1.99 for 20 round box. Good old days !😀
Does anyone else watching get a little nervous when Misha starts playing around with bayonets? 😬
I get more nervous when he racks the gun with a mag in it and then pulls the bang switch
I have some 7N6 but try snd not shopt any of it. Thr Tela 5.45 accuracy is TRASH. I waa getting 7-8" groups from a WBP and 3" from 7N6. I wish palmetto would hurry and make 5.45
💯😎
Misha why TF did Arsenal stop making Stamped receiver AKs? They are solely focused on Forged receivers now smh 🤦🏻♂️
As far as I know, Russia had some claims about the patent to Bulgaria. It's not just the rifles, the former prime minister met with Putin before the war to settle these things, but after the war started, nothing will happen.
