If you did a valve adjustment properly and ran diesel purge through the injection pump and it did not turn black in the jar I get the feeling its something in the intake. It could be injectors that are worn out but, from the audio quality it doesn't seem to exhibit injector ticking. I would check the air filter and the intake for a restriction or oil puddles. From seeing all that white smoke pour out the tailpipe im wondering if the turbo oil seals on the turbine shaft are gone and are allowing a small amount of oil into the combustion chamber. If the seals get bad enough it will prevent the engine from shutting off and or run away in the worst case scenario. Another major cause of blue or white smoke is the valve stem seals leaking in the cylinder head causing oil to get into the combustion chamber or the headgasket is bad and is allowing oil and coolant into the combustion chamber but that is easy to test with one of those combustion leak detectors that you put in the radiator neck. Worst case scenario I can think of is the rings or the cylinder liners having excess wear. But I doubt that since these engine are bulletproof if you change the oil regularly.
Does it have good fresh oil? It will be interesting to see how the injectors are performing. Because it sat so long, I'm thinking the piston rings are partially stuck. Iv'e had good luck using Kano- Kreen to free them up, then a nice "Italian" tune-up after you know the injectors are good.
@@courtneysaunders.2810 I’m 6’7” and I couldn’t drive that car because my legs are to long, even in the passenger seat my legs would be up against the dashboard.
i’m idling similarly harsh i hope you add the next edition soon
Loving this series, hopefully the injectors are the problem.
That's what I'm hoping too, next episode I'll be bench testing the injectors to find out.
I used to own one of these like 25 years ago..Great cars
Good to see you, Boko! That thing is a beauty.
Love the sd my favorite car. Had a w123 with the 617 without turbo myself.
good video, Boko !!

It ended up being due to low compression, I did another video on it. I’ll try and upload it soon.
@@bokosdieselgarage oh man that sucks, however on the bright side I am looking forward to your video on how to fix it!

👍 Keep working on it.

Injectors were ok but compression was too low. I need to upload the video on it still.
Chk. Injectors....
White smoke......Timing
Get you a real German car...a VW bug....1960's- early 1970's.
I had a 1972 VW super beetle once, only problem is I couldn’t drive it as I’m to tall to fit in one.
@@bokosdieselgarage You don't look more than around 6'2'...just really skinny. Someone 6'6" would fit in a bug just fine.

You need custom front seats to fit and drive a vw bug. Do you fit in the w123 models cars? Must be tight also.
