Hate to break it to you, chief, but Lapis and Chloe share the same exact same speed growth. Also, Merrin's bases dwarf both of them by miles so idk why you lumped the mid-tier Flier with Dagger Kagetsu.

A clone of Chloé that requires a little bit more investment and joins a bit later is not a bad place to be She gets Canter and Sword Power before Roy and Sigurd leave, has an amazing speed growth and is an all around good unit On a tier list I'd rank her around low A tier. What about Fogado’s unprompted bases? Shouldn’t this argument work with him or Hortensia too? I do think it’s extremely dumb that the Solm and Elusia royals don’t come promoted tho
that is before class growths, so at least 2 str. If you promoted Lapis to Wyvern, it's +20% class str growth and makes +3.6 str difference. Even just Swordfighter on it's own has +10% str growth that adds to nearly 3 str difference after 8 lvls.
Timerra is not bad She's absolutely terrible. Cope harder Sandstorm stans, just remember the awful 4 levels you had to grind to get there... For a very mediocre reward, because Kagetsu/Panette/Chloé/ heck even Boucheron can one round at this point, WITHOUT skill proc 😅
@CypherXVI wyvern lord Chloé with Roy/Eirika/Edelgard is absolutely one rounding. Even more so with lance power Late game she might need a crit engrave but she's still amazing
I don't know if this is a fair comparison. Vanessa in Sacred Stones is arguably the best unit in the game - besides Seth - and her strength is not good. Meanwhile, her class skill is sooo good that it's hard to ignore. Throw her in against a unit, and she has a solid chance to wipe them off the map with Sandstorm alone, so it makes no sense to move her away from her personal class. She is actually unique, unlike (unfortunately as I like her) Lapis, who could be considered a generic with how generous the game is with reclassing and gaming levels. The hate Timerra gets is so weird. Her join time and build seem like her biggest faults on paper, but there is something else people are saying outside of why she is bad on paper. Her personal skill sucks, so there is also that. Edit: actually, -5 crit over a three tile radius is not bad at all, can come in clutch. She is also a backup, so she has great utility, and she can make use of Sigurd really well since Sandstorm can proc while Override is active, though the same can be said for any Emblem skill.
I'm pretty sure the video is satire, cause he constantly removes royals out of their personal classes. Which is why he has so many videos regarding timerra bad. Though most of his videos are reclassing or running weird class runs.
The vid lost credibility the second you promoted out of her base class, at least you could of done halbider or something, she’s my fave character, but any other class is already a bad choice for her 😭😭,
I think the vid is just illustrating her personal base stats as outside Timerra's personal class, you can just make both the same class Warrior, Wyvern etc and the stat difference stay the same. The vid just conveys the message that Timerra has the same base str as Lapis in one of the fastest ingame ways.
We grown out of funny crit Luna Alcryst not being reliable, let's give them a few weeks to learn Sandstorm not being reliable and having 6 personal base str is terrible. (Btw do you know Lapis has 5% more personal def growth than Timerra's 30%?)
@Ryoji maddening run here, join time is her only weakness, this video only demonstrates reclasses making units worse. Due to their prf skills being their niche. It's also fire emblem you can play however you'd like and still have a decent run, you can get rng screwed even if you were running kagetsu.
@@Arilinity yeah, but join time is quite big of a metric, and you get Lapis six whole chapters before Timerra, Marcus and Seth in their respective games are considered very good because you get them early on and can carry the horseman role until the end of their games, it's not about her being unusable or anything, but having similar options available way earlier, Sandstorm is neat and all, but it is a proc and they are not very reliable since you can't get the value to go way up like crits, they are often discarded as unreliable(an exception would be divine pulse on Celine and Hortensia, since they can achieve 100% proc VERY easily ) Bad≠Unusable, just that you've got better options, I ran Etie for the whole game without much issues. Why'd you change her type, I don't get it. Also she isn't Yunaka, Anne, Protag, Clanne, or Jean (Those tend to be my hardest hitters, Anne makes a good Gryphon Knight and I'm building her up to Wyvern, she also has the three houses armband)

The way to use Timerra is Picket cause of Sandtorm. Same as Alcryst cause of Luna. They're both carried by their unique class with good class skills.

It doesn't because Fogado and Hortensia actually manage to have good personal base stats (also Ivy, incidentally)
This doesn't tell the full story. They both have a 25% str growth so the 8 level difference makes it a difference of only 2 str
