Byleth actually SPEAKING speaking to all three as their teacher and saying “THIS time, let’s all fight together” hits the feels so hard knowing what they’ve gone through individually and collectively 😢
wish we got dlc route where byleth reverse time and just fix edelgard not to do her plan and told her their was a quicker and least bloodshed way that dimitri and claude would agree upon and dethrone rhea without violence

At least in Hopes you can get Edelgard and Claude working together. Dimitri's stuck with Claude on the verge of betrayal, and a traumatized and brain damaged Edie.

You are kidding right? You haven’t played Blue Lions then. Dimitri hates with all his heart killing people, that’s what drives him mad at the time skip. He believes he has no right of being happy since he has become a monster. Play the game before discussing.

Seeing these three talking with Byleth, makes me wish they had started having a fully voiced protagonist with Three Houses, it would have improved that games conversations a lot. Also Edelgard having most of the dialogue here is very in character for her.

Okay, given Byleth's reaction, I'm guessing this is Post New Game + for him. He's seen through the war on all 4 routes, and now he's like "Clearly, I was too lenient on you, children."
I love the way they didn't make Byleth show favoritism for any of the House Leaders in particular, they're all equal to him.
The way he says "I'm proud of you all" is so wholesome, and makes him feel like a guardian-like figure for them.

I like how unlike Corrin (Revelations) and Lucina (not related or married to Robin), you don't know which route Byleth is from. You just know not all of them survived and that he's happy to see them on the same side this time.
Well... Byleth fought against Liberation King in Fire Emblem Engage so... Golden Deer Route.

@NoelJohnCarlo in the other routes (at least CF) he fights the Slithers after the game ends, so it's still undetermined.

Awesome to hear Tara, Chris and Joe reprised their roles as Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude again. I've missed them a lot.
I mean.... it's only been half a year since hopes came out.... not even that long.
The scene with Byleth & The House leaders all talking so normally.. knowing what happens to them (especially Edel & Dimitri) in all 3 routes.. Seriously makes me get teary. 3 Houses was more than just a game for me.

Also, she doesn't hate the goddess (that's more Hubert's thing), she's against the state of the Church and its influence in continental affairs, and feels hurt and betrayed that she felt the goddess turned a blind eye to her in all the time she was tortured. In both Houses and Hopes she's clear that she appreciates when it seems the goddess is actively being involved in helping her and others (either through Byleth or in person through Record Keeper). And in Heroes, she admits shecan stand to learn from and appreciate the gods who actively get involved in helping their worlds.

Imagine if they were their post timeskip version. These conversations would be very different.
I love how Byleth is charismatic and can stop Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude from bickering with one another and unite them in fighting on the same side. But of course, that was only during the Academy phase in Three Houses. I’m excited to use Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude as a DLC I bought!

It's so hearwarming to see the 3 lords being with each other and not be at eachothers throats, also claude's goofball level seems to have rubbed off slightly on Dimitri and Edelgard
Compared to the silence we had in 3Houses, the convo between Byleth and the house leaders certainly feels refreshing.

True! Or if the devs were worried about the players' name choice from 3H they just could have gone with Professor Eisner, as Byleth's surname never changes. (But during Byleth's Engage introduction/summon already had the cast involved saying ‘‘Byleth’’ explicitly, so I don't get why they didn't do it here lol)
Honestly, these 3 being in this game is the closest we're ever gonna get to a golden route.

Byleth sounds deeper and more gruff. I wonder if it was because he got different voice direction, like he was told to act more commanding and teacherly. I listened to one of his supports in Three Hopes, and his voice sounded exactly the same as in Three Houses.

You know I’d really love an explanation as to exact what time period they’re all from. Byleth has the dark blue hair and Dimitri isn’t insane yet, so this would have to be pre-time skip. But Byleth’s paralouge is a recreation of ch 11, which Byleth clearly remembers, so then it would have to be post-time skip. But that still doesn’t explain Byleth’s hair not being green
I was wondering the same thing, they’re breaking a lot of the 3H logic but in my opinion don’t think about it too much. Just look at it as a way for them to add the 3H characters for those who missed them.
@@arts6821Emblems are not entirely the same as the original ones from what I can tell. Lyn does not have green eyes in Engage, for example. So it's possible that Byleth could be post time skip but just was not recreated with Sothis hair.
Ahh... My favorite characters out of all the fire emblem people in the fire emblem series.
I got the feeling that 50 % of the dialogue was only Edelgard an the other half everyone else.
She seems to dominate the attention the trio gets in this game.

@@dewitt4724 I wasn't bothered by it so much when I played Three Houses, but after doing Three Hopes and hearing Shez banter with all of my favourites, it did feel a bit empty going back. Oddly more so with mByleth than fByleth. No thoughts head empty just sort of fit her particular confused stare.

Wow the Three Houses bracelet was one of my best throughout my playthrough. I can't imagine waiting to pick it up until after you get Byleth's ring! His doesn't come until the game is almost halfway over.

I've been wondering how the emblem characters work. For example, clearly Camilla is from Revelation route and not conquest or birthright.
The three lords here are all clearly from academy phase so the route doesn't really matter at this point
But Byleth... Seems to be some kind of amalgamation of routes. Since he clearly has seen Edelgard's big war announcement since his paralogue is where that takes place. But his hair is not sothis-y. At first I'd feel like it'd imply he went with edelgard since his hair returns to normal at the end of that route but... A handful of other things makes me feel like he's the combination of several Byleths from different routes

@@Michael-yf6bl The digital version doesn't really have anything to do with it, other than you can buy the bundle with the season pass immediately at a small discount, which is what I did.
And because I have no impulse control, I will never see the version of the scene with Byleth, because Tiki is more valuable earlier in the game, and you can only get Tiki after you get Edelgard.

The internet says to be at chapter 5, but it is chapter 6 you need to be at. Then you'll get a notification back at the base

Claude jumping upside down is great. He must return to his natural habitat.
This is a little weird to me because it implied they have memories of their whole time at the academy but they appear as their younger selves and don't seem at odds.

@@shortsmiddletonthey can fix Fire Emblem in Smash. All they have to do is remove the Awakening Echo Fighters, remove either Robin or Corrin and make sure not to add another Fire Emblem character as DLC and the internet should be fine with Alear.

Does it irk anyone else when Edelgard calls Byleth "my" teacher? As if Edelgard has a monopoly on Byleth teaching her? I'm not sure why fans like her so much, she just irritates me with how haughty she is & the fact she started a WAR instead of waiting till graduating & all 3 became rulers of their nations & TALKING to Dimitri & Claude about her concerns with the Central Church, not to mention colluding with TWSITD. She is only mildly more tolerable in Three Houses where she was at least not working with TWSITD.
Unfortunately, Claude is more manipulative & less likeable in Hopes & it leads to the murder of Randolph. I'm kinda of put off by Fogado in Engage as well because he's practically a Claude clone & I'm rather Clauded out at this point.
Dimitri is basically the only one who doesn't deceive & manipulate (apart from the REAL reason he attended the Academy). His only major issues are his schizophrenia & PTSD caused by The Tragedy of Duscur; serious, undiagnosed & as such untreated, mental illnesses he can't help having. His story cuts & hurts so deep that my heart aches for him. Thank God he had an easier time of it in Hopes without having to spend 5 years on the run in his own country.
On a side note: Chris Hackney's voice for Dimitri is perfect, it's deep & refined & he poured so much emotion into the role, it's clear he actually cares about it.

Wait, so Tiki's paralogue isn't unlocked until after getting the Bracelet of Three Houses? If that is the case, is there dialogue that can be missed between Tiki and Marth pre-Chapter 10?

Since you lose Marth in chapter 10 and get Byleth in chapter 15 that means the only way to see both interactions with their respective bracelets in a single playthrough is to hold off on getting them until after chapter 22. Needless to say it’s definitely not worth doing that.
Honestly, it only makes sense for these three to be an Emblem if Byleth is one. Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude are, for all intents and purposes, the true protagonists of Three Houses. All of them have far more impact and influence on the story than Byleth does, with them being more of a supporter than anything. Kinda like Benoit Blanc from the Knives Out series. There's a reason why for the Awakening Emblem, they chose Lucina instead of Robin.
tho i won't b surprised if Robin ends up being one of the dlc ones (i assume we don't know the other dlc's yet) not only that, seeing this makes me want Xander and Ryoma to be an emblem as well :'3 and just because, gimme some of the crew from #FE!
