As a senior, I am fully aware of who is there for me in my final years. As my body slow breaks down and some of my needs have changed, I will remember those that were there for me. I worked hard - 6 days a week, 12 hour days - have allowed me to give my children the life THEY wanted. No child should grow into adulthood believing that their parent’s money or possessions are theirs by right. They can work hard as I did.

A lot of people change when they get much older. Sometimes their personality changes completely and they become opposite of who they were before. Dementia , Alzheimer’s, cancer, chronic illness and many more things influence their behavior and personality. There are so many factors that affect a parent’s relationship with their children.
Tony Curtis was a gorgeous man and fantastic actor. It’s very sad that his relationships with his children were bad. It was terrible of him not to share his wealth with his children. A father should be there for his family, even though he and his wife are divorced. Unfortunately, far too many families have broken relationships. It’s very tragic.😢

My parents worked hard all their lives and gave, us, their four daughters a great start in life. We made it very, very clear all along that they were to spend their money on themselves, enjoying their lives at they aged. To our shock, after they passed, we found that they had left a great deal of money and some property to the four if us. They owed us nothing, thru' out our childhood they supported us wonderfully which helped set all of us up in the sucess we all found in later life. In no way did they owe us anything more. My grief is that they did not use these assets for themselves. Because we did not need this money, we set up a foundation in thier names to suuport children who do not have the opportunities that our parents gave us. In no way, however, did they owe their adult children anything. I miss them very much.

Lovely man I met him years ago, when I was a teenager, in the mid seventies
Charming, self deprecating with great humour
A very humble and kind soul
I hate when people speculate about other people they don't know personally when they are dead and can't defend themselves
Yes he had problems with addiction but he coped as best he could
It's lovely to hear that his daughter Jamie Lee still holds him in her affections and respects his memory
Pity the creator of this doesn't do the same!
Also know your subject and stop interspersing the article with photos of people OBVIOUSLY not Tony Curtis the movie Star
Including other movie actors and most notably Tony D Curtis a totally different naval enlistee!

Tony Curtis was so good looking. My dad also joined the Navy after Pearl Harbor at age 17 and had to get his mother’s signature because she was a widow and he was her only son, she had a daughter who joined the convent. So both of her children had to sign up for difficult commitments.

A person has a right to do with their estate what they wish. Just like parents are the only ones entitled to name their children what they want. None of us know what goes on behind closed doors in families. Its really none of our business.

These rich stars are jerks. Why earn money for a better life and then give it to outsiders. I'd have given a million to each kid while I was alive and tell them it's all they get. That way they aren't waiting for you to die. Let them enjoy it while they can. They are your children and in the end with all that money given away, they will hate you instead of loving you.

I grew up watching Tony's movies on TV. Although the movies were old by the time I saw them I really loved his acting ❤ I was a kid so I thought he was good looking I didn't have romantic feelings for him as he was the same age as my parents. I only ever knew about his marriage to Janet Lee and felt they were a perfect match. I'm not sure I have any right to pass judgment on his life or his will those are personal matters however you cannot make a person change their will if they don't want to so acceptance is the healthier choice for all concerned. ❤❤❤no matter how he lived his life I will always remember the joy of watching his movies ♥️

I had the greatest honor to have met Mr. Curtis three times during my life.....once while I was a film student in college, and twice more when he was on book tours here in San Diego, CA. at the Hotel Del Coronado, which he adored because of his time filming "Some Like It Hot". I found him to be sincere, and a wonderfully chivalrous gentleman....I have no doubt he loved the ladies, but showed outward respect to those he wished success and prosperity to. The world is less since he left us. Even with all the distress in his life, he never showed it to the public, and for that I respect his memory. RIP Tony, we miss you.

Tony Curtis, I learned much more than I knew before about him. He lived his life the way he wanted to. Reminds me of Dean Martin and others of his time. It’s too bad that his last wife didn’t share anything with his kids. They would have fought her about it regardless. I think if he was not going to leave his kids anything he should have at least hinted to them that he might do that, since they obviously expected something

I don't understand - if one person receives the bulk of the family fortune - why can't that person SHARE her inheritance with her siblings? It's not written in stone that you have to keep everything. So share it. That way, everybody gets a piece of the pie and hopefully peace is restored to the family once again.

I remember hearing Mr. Curtis during an interview speaking of his respect for Cary Grant. And how he hoped to someday to work with him. That came to fruition with Operation Petticoat! Jamie Leigh followed in her father’s footsteps. Congratulations! The rest is their personal business. Thank you both for all the great films. Mr Curtis and his beautiful daughter and their talent and films is all we should be concerned with. The rest is private! NONE of our business!

Hollywood is one crashing whitewater ride that crush many who try to navigate it. Knowing Curtis’ childhood background I have to give him credit for handling it at all. Too bad about his later desire to capture the apex of his career. Too bad that he didn’t realize he was an iconic legend. Too bad about that unfair will. Surely the kids didn’t deserve the slight.

The daughters well who know what's go in the life's and household of the Curtis for me the less you visit in my ageing years ect ect that's what you will get or Zero . jamie lee curtis another one of my favourite Actress said Exactly how is should be done with grace , That is the kind of daughter I'll be proud off ! He left his millions to the last person in his life meant Exactly what it meant and is her to do how or what's she like with it ! Maybe if their was bitter Jealous about Curtis married someone so young my Guess is if only they get along with her maybe just maybe it some of them wouldn't have been written off the will ? I wish I would know more about them. I heard later on in life when I was a grown woman and married to my own husband, the Tyrone Powers was Gay in real life. I’d like to know more about him instead. back to Tony Curtis. I think him and Marilyn Monroe would’ve made a really good couple. They look so good together.
