LionWhispererTV aim is to raise awareness about The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary’s mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
On this channel, The Lion Whisperer films the majority of his footage using a GoPro camera, allowing viewers to get as close as possible to the lions, leopards and hyenas at the sanctuary.
Kevin Richardson hopes to provide viewers insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and in turn, by watching the videos on the channel, viewers will be directly contributing to the conservation of these majestic animals.

I finished "Tiger King" on Netflix yesterday and after that freakshow and witnessing of horrible treatment of big cats, this video is exatly what I needed

Indeed.... Nobody on that show should be owning animals. Seeing Kevin who truly cares is nice. I've never really understood why he doesn't promote breeding, though I do kind of understand after watching the series. However surely the lion population still needs increasing.

I think Meg believes she's a domestic shorthair not a lion. She's so beautiful, constantly nudging Kevin seeking his affectionate kisses on her face. Gorgeous to watch. These videos make my day, thank you so very much. 🦁

@@HoneyBee-ni4rx Sadly, Amy died a few months ago. Meg displayed mourning for a long time, and as Kevin said in the beginning of this video, he increased his time with Meg to help her with loneliness and mourning Amy.

Wow, she is huge. Her head is massive compared to Kevin's. Actually her paws may be as big as Kev's head. The scale helps illustrate how powerful and lethal these cats can be. We love you up here in Canada. As an Expat South African, Kevin's mission is close to my heart. Protect these amazing Apex hunters. God Bless Kevin, all the animals you serve, the sheer will and commitment you have for these ferocious feline's well being.

If you watch the video again from 1:00 - look out the back window of the vehicle - the bush moves ! I first thought it was windy - but then realise nothing else was being blown - then Meg appears at 1:11 through driver's door window !

The voice of Kevin everytime he says is so affectionate. That I could notice that the lions or the animals are very precious to him and the way he talk to them that as if Meg and other animals can talk back to him.
Anyway they have the certain bond only them could understand.

There really is a problem of over crowding in India and a lot of Leopards are struggling to survive. In the Asian country’s the Asian Leopard is struggling to survive. I have a Asian Leopard from Thailand that I rescued two years ago from a bad situation. We love going for long walks everyday. I was worried that he might get sick from this virus. I know I have to worry being 65 years old. I had a lot of cancer problems from 2009-2017. All the seniors are hiding in side. My biggest problem is how to get hold of fresh raw chicken to feed my cats. I worry more about my cats than me. I’m not fussy I’ll eat just about anything. But the wild cats are kind of fussy.

I think he has one or two select members of his team that have been allowed to bond with lions and Interact with them. Obviously not to the extent that Kevin does, but enough to keep them healthy.

Everybody is so caught up on TigerKing and they miss the real tragedy of how all of those beautiful animals were mistreated and what needs to be done to stop it and help them. They need to follow Kevin’s guidelines to keeping animals that have to be kept in captivity. Enrichment and space and caring about the well-being of the animals first over everything else.
This is why I wont watch it. The first I heard about it it was just ppl talking about the person to person drama. At that moment I realized it was more Netflix propaganda and not a legit story to the animals affected.

I believe those Tigers are all now in a great sanctuary being taken care of properly, so that’s good news.
Not to many people have the guts to get in a enclosure with natural born predators.
Since when did watching a documentary about something mean that you support the people in it? I’ve watched the show and was actually less shocked by the main “characters” than I was by aaaaall those thousands of guests who frequent these terrible parks. NORMAL, moral, Christian people saying “awwww” when presented with a 1-hour old tiger cub that’s just been taken away from its mother! That was the worst part. This silent support from the masses. Places like this wouldn’t exist if PEOPLE stopped going there. So many stupid people in the world... Sorry, this comment turned into a rant. Didn’t mean to.

No matter the reason; this connection Kevin and Meg (and Amy) have/had is precious and thoroughly brings us viewers into the bond albeit from afar. Love what you, and your Staff, do. These educational videos are endlessly fascinating although the idea of some of these illnesses is terrifying. A bit of advice though, Kevin never comment on a ladies age. Pretty sure at one point in the video you had petted Meg straight to nirvana. Watching her swat at you you get an idea of how big her paws are. Pretty sure it was almost as big as your head. She's absolutely precious!!!!

New Zealand is in complete lockdown, however we still have some 'idiots' who like to test the boundaries and I'm sure it won't be long until Jacinda releases the Army to sort us out and patrol the streets. That was really interesting and very well presented. It is always a pleasure seeing Sweet Meg and listening to Kevin’s (and Meg’s) wealth of knowledge. My little house kitty has Feline Coronavirus but the digestive form, so it was interesting to hear about the similarities between the virus in big cats and domestic ones. If I understood Dr. Caldwell correctly,

Kevin raised both Meg and Amyftom the day they were born so I truly believe that they treat Kevin as a member of their family.
When AMY passed away Kevin was heart broken.....Meg and Amy loved these girls like his own children.

Just 100 years ago, there were more than 200,000 wild lions living in Africa. Today, there are only about 20,000; lions are extinct in 26 African countries and have vanished from over 95 percent of their historic range. And their p0pulation continues to decrease as the human p0pulation increases. ~

India also has lost vast swathes of forests due to growing p0pulation and urbanisation in recent decades, as a result- Endangered elephants and tigers are k.illing one person a day in India as humans continue to encroach on the little habitat that these animals have left.
You'll be happy to know that *Indian Asiatic Lions* increased their population from 13 Lions to around 600 Lions today! The problem today for them is not of being too less but of being too many. Indian govt has planned to take them up to Central India and make a new home for them. That would be the first time that Lions and Tigers will live together.

India's human population is not decreasing. The fertility rate is decreasing like most other countries. But the population is still rapidly increasing. India is expected to become the most populated country on Earth by 2024, surpassing even China. And Africa's population is set to reach 3x that of Europe by 2050.
