We have an older Sharp TV on the wall. I have the manual open on the computer that displays the back. My TR 120 worked fine when it was plugged into our Xfinity box. We just gave that up and switched to Hulu through a "Flex" box. We've tried to find a way to connect my headphones to the TV for two days without success using every port as well as an external receiver without success...so far. I have power and headset is charging, but only static during tuning. Extra cables to the receiver are not working. I guess I'll have to call the Geek Squad now because I have to use a headset to listen to the TV.
On my samsung smart TV, I don't have H/P option and audio output. But, I could see Digital Sound OutPut (optical), can you suggest me if I connect audio jack to this optical socket using some convertor/connector audio 3.5mm jack to this optical plug pin.
I have a Samsung Frame TV which does not have an audio out jack, only a digital (optical) audio out. Can anyone advice whether there is an adapter of some kind that will work in this situation please?
@@Buz2744 Same issue here; partially solved by plugging the audio jacks directly into my Verizon DVR box. Headphones then work but oddly enough, the volume control on the Verizon remote cannot adjust volume up/down or mute (everything else works). The volume controls do work on the Samsung remote though. This is better than nothing but disappointing as my previous Samsung TV had audio jacks (new one does not). They expect you to use bluetooth, which works, but then cuts out the volume from the TV so no one else can hear, plus there is an annoying delay when using bluetooth so picture and sound are out of sync. Hope this helps, if anyone has a better workaround, let me know please.
These are HiFi headphones. I hear they work great if you have the full set up. I bought them thinking they were normal bluetooth head phones. Yesterday I made a comment saying they didn't work, I was wrong, I bought the wrong type of headphones.
After several normal yrs my HDR120 wireless phones now work intermittently. Sennheiser tech support has been contacted but are unable to resolve the bug. Before replacing the HDR120 with other wireless phones I'd like to try WIRED instead. One RUclips video shows a "wired port" at the bottom of one of the phones but there is no port on mine. So next trial will be wired phones as replacement (or backup) for wireless. The TV has only DIGITAL audio output (which means that a digital->analog adapter is needed for HDR120. What reliable INEXPENSIVE wired phones are recommended for this simple situation ? Thanx. Bewildered Bob

Anyone have a solution to loose headset on the RS 120? Every time i drop something and bend over to pick it up the phonse fall off onto the floor. Arrrrggggghhhh.The amount of space between earcups does not seem to be adjustable. Only the space between the top of the band and the bottom of the earcups. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem ,until I noticed they never fell off while I had them on while mowing my lawn... cuz I wore them over a baseball cap! Now I do this even indoors whenever I use them while moving around doing other stuff. It also makes them more comfortable to wear.

Firstly the cable with the audio out and connector was not in the box only a connecting plug which doesn't fit. Secondly. There are smart TVs and cheap smart TVs. I've tried everything possible to connect my headphones and all I get is static. Unable to tune them in.

Hi I can't get the Transmitter 'Green' light to come on. Should it come on by just connecting it to Power or does it require connection to the TV Out audio source as well. I can't get it on either way. I have the Red/White plugs connected to a single 3.5mmJack that then fits into the Headphone plug on the TV. Is this correct or is there another way that I can connect the Red/White to the TV?.
Why does my 120 have different connections, eg the cord from the unit has black and red ends, then an extra separate joining bit with red and white holes on one side with one thin metal prod on the other side. I cannot find an earphone outlet on the back of my Panasonic TV. Honestly I just need a tutorial for dummies that reflects my BOX of bits.
I was in the same boat. from my experience to get these working was, i'm pretty sure about this. the batteries have to be fully charged. use the red and black plug. grab that adaptor and plug black into black and red into white. then any device u have with a "headphone" out jack they finally work. yeah, u can't find a headphone out jack on your tv. at 1:38 of the video he shows a black H/P audio out plug. I found one on the bottom of one of my TV's. had to lay tv on it's face. just plugged the black into it. they worked. so I hope u can find a headphone out jack. you'll be in action. good luck.

I had the identical headphones/dock for 7 years or so; and suddenly it stopped working. The green light on the dock would turn on & off randomly. But I first recognized it wasn't working when I was unable to tune into a channel - I was very happy with these headphones, so decided to buy another. I'm having a problem in the plug outlet!!! The plug part that is supposed to go in the wall, as my other one did - doesn't look like a normal plug! There are 2 metal things that come out from a plastic plug that is not compatible with my wall plug. I still have the other 'plug' that plugs right into the wall. I live in the USA and have never seen a plug like this - so obviously I'm stuck here. It does say "push" on the little plastic thing that the plug comes out from - BUT nothing happens. I was hoping i'd see a normal plug pop out - or something. If have a photo of my old plug and new plug, but not sure how to send it here!!! Do I need some sort of adaptor? I've never seen a plug like this!!!

I've tried setting these up with every single cable included, and with others that have been recommended. This will. not. work. My TV was on full volume, actively playing audio, and properly connected. Despite all this, the green audio light keeps turning off. In the five minutes, it stays on, the headphones will not tune to the frequency of the transmitter. Very disappointed in the quality of this product.

yeah, just listened to amazon prime music walking around the house. I'm using a old dell OptiPlex and chit it works pretty good.
