I like how Homelander spares Billy just to emotionally torture him. Homelander sees that Billy isn't afraid of him and is obviously willing to die, so it's more cruel if Homelander lets Billy live rather than kill him.
I love how Homelander dismantled the reason for Billy's crusade with one question... *"How do you know?"* Without the how (in this case), he has no reason for the what or the why.
Why are the last 2 minutes of this season so Goddam amazing. This is literally the perfect way to rap up the season. I found not one flaw with the way this season ended which makes me even more disappointed with how much season 2 stuffed it all up and tried being shocking and safe in the worst ways possible.
So I am not justifying Becca actions but lets rewind and look back at the flash backs with Billy and Becca. Someone had pointed out that Becca was abnormally happy in the flashbacks and that we are seeing what BILLY saw. It could be that he is an unreliable narrator. It's possible that Becca was having problems with Billy and he didnt pick up on it and in a moment of weakness she decided to sleep with Homelander. Mallory possibly lied to Billy too to get him on her side with the whole hating Superheroes thing. Also my guess is the reason why Becca and Ryan (I believe that is the son's name I maybe wrong) lived apart from Homelander is because Ryan is the backup Homelander in case he goes rogue or insane (which we see that he is). Just a Theory.

the fact that his wife didn't get killed like in the comics is honestly a better plot idea than the original. it actually seems like the changes are meant to improve the show rather than make changes for convenience sake
