I remember when the song was also offered to Sinatra (who declined). Still, add the Boys' harmonies, and this, with the proper arrangement and production, was supposed to be the return of Brian to mid-60's form. Then, nothing...until it was released in 1993 on the Good Vibrations package.

Huh? An alternate mix with an alternate lyric is still the same version, just a different mix that happens to contain a different lyric. Same version of the song we know, different mix. An alternate version would be an alternate take. Either way, this video seem to contain a fan edit that layers one of the demos over an instrumental of the final, so it's not really an alternate version or an alternate mix.
