Hello I bought tire sensors from walmart online however they have no back cover, there is just silicon on the back side. Do you think silicon is strong enough to keep the mechanism and the battery inside in place, are they safe enough to use like that without the back cover? Thx

Crazy stuff! Girlfriend just got 4 new tires, the tire shop called and said it was completely dead on one of the tires. $70 for new one, replaced....on top of an already $1,377 bill.

So these will automatically reconnect to the trucks system?

No, if you are replacing a sensor with a new one you have to program it to the vehicle with a special tool. If you are just swapping sensors over to different wheels you wouldn't have to, just make sure you put them back on the vehicle in the same position they came off, otherwise you would have to relearn the tire positions with the same tool.

@@WestBeachFLboy So if bought new wheels and tires with the sensors, I have to buy a tool to programme them to work. Where do I buy a tool like that?

@@W.Vanderbilt The tool can run you hundreds of dollars I wouldn't buy one just to use it once. Any tire service center should be able to program them for you pretty cheap, just call around
