This show was literally how I was introduced to TISM. I came slightly after their time but luckily watching John Safran on SBS showed 13 year old me how to be subversive via silly music
The "stage dive" off the chair at 58s brings back memories of seeing them at Queensland Uni, '98 I think, where Ron had nuded up[1] and then stage dived, basically landing on top of me in the middle of the mosh...... [1] He still had the mask on - it was the pointy ones as per Homebake '98 and I've still got one of the spikes that I ripped off said mask.
I'll never forget the first time I saw this, I was instantly hooked and my life was forever changed. I still feel a tinge of it every time I see it. Incredible performance. There was never another band like TISM, and there never will be.
TISM sold more Tee shirts than records when they released Great trucking songs. I remember walking into Rocking horse when it was a little dive and finding to my delight a copy for the first time. Ahhh memories
As a Brit, who has become enticed by the massive legacy that TISM left behind, I think 90% of what I know about Australia comes from their songs, but I still can't be sure of things. Kerry O'Brien could be either a man or a woman, and might have been dead for the last 20 years.
All nations reach a cultural zenith - this surely has to be Australia's.
It's been all downhill since TISM.

Our producers were too busy on their yachts snorting cocaine off the buttcracks of Morroccan boys to notice our cover art

same difference
how much do you know about the mordialloc road duplicator?
Kerry O’Brien is a journalist and is very much alive lmao
Kerry O'Brien is definitely a man. Kerry was a common male name that's out of fashion now. So kids named Kerry now will almost certainly be girls.

Go TISM, go Melbourne
Go back to Springvale
@@kiryuchan860 Springvale is the fourth largest Greek city in the world, after Athens, Melbourne and Coburg
I said, "I'll have one of those!"
Basically the song that reminds me of TISM.. So cultural.
Will always be the best rendition .

TISM 💜
And to think this was the recording that exposed the band
And we were still like "who the fuck are they?"
I love the sound of braking glass :)
This is the definitive version of this song.

Feels bad listening to this immediately after crying while watching Stand By Me, but hey.

I think Slipknot is the barstad brainchild of this band
Desperate attempts by the old Australian band 'TISM' to remain relevant ...
You realise this is from 2002 yeah?
This will always be relevant and you are a bad and also wrong person
I don't think so because TISM are shit, whereas Slipknot are very, very good. :)))))))))
