Ngl This fight is good, but I feel like keeping your hands up to defend yourself against kicks is useful. But otherwise the fight is great!

Yes, great advice friend. If you watch, professional taekwondo fights, these athletes keep their hands down to block the chest protector, which is the main targeted area for points. Scoring hands are also down because 90% of the strikes thrown our kicks and the hands down helps with counter balance. Taekwondo is a good martial art to learn kicks and footwork from, but not punches or hands up like you mentioned. Thanks for the encouragement 🙏

Head Kick 3 Points.. each spin adds 1 Point... So A Spinning kick to the head is usually 4 points... I need to see the updated WT Olympic point guide myself.

Yes that’s what I was told. However on the Olympic website it says 5 points for turning kick to head. But imma change it to 4 points

@@burpyTKD BRO YES>. I notice that patterns are changing and im like.. the new way they do them is not practical... and loosing its root purposes...Like my Inst wants me to do super long deep stances now with lots of exaggerate focuses.. And its hard for me because a narrow stance is your everyday stance.. and so your self defense should come from a stance that you are in at any given time of the day.. Just one example...

@@tusanity I think it’s all good as long as you practice both the old school and modern versions, so you can learn the best from both worlds
