I love this blue with the neutral colours of the journal. Very bright but somehow, fitting well. I love to make snippet rolls when I'm tired. I keep them neutral then when I'm ready to add to a journal it is ready to add the colours and embellishments that go with what I'm creating in the journal. It works for me. I do the same thing with tags, but using leftover printed papers, making up to 6 in various sizes in each colourway then embellish when adding to the journal of appropriate colourings.
You are bringing the snippet roll to another level- I love it!
I loved watching you create with wild abandonment Luise! Beautiful!
I too love it when I find tiny pieces laying on my table that works perfectly. A piece most likely would be tossed by another. I tend to keep a small plate or baggie to store them. You given us so many ideas how to use snippet rolls. I really love the bits that are held together by the sewing. Haven’t seen this clever idea before!
I absolutely looove you videos !!!Not only they are full of creative and unique ideas but also admirable enthusiasm for the craft and desire to share it with everyone…Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Absolutely engaging, fun and always entertaining ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😊❤️
This journal wants to come to my house and live with me!
😂❤️❤️❤️
Your snippets came out so beautifully I loved the way that you chose to do it and followed your creativity beautiful
I LOVE that you are doing your art in a caravan camper! I have a motorhome and my goodies go with me too. It's the best place for inspiration. 🤩
Thank you for the great idea on how to use some of your snippet rolls. Hugs Theresa
Past tense of fly is "flown". Also, I think you were trying to say you wanted "a cohesive look" by using the same products through your project in different ways. These are so beautiful. Great video.
(watching your old videos while I wait for the last 2 prompts of Deph24 😂 )
I wanted to comment that I save the tiniest items sometimes and it feels AMAZING when I find a perfect place for it - just like you have for your bulldog clip piece
Your English is amazing.😊 I really enjoyed this video.
Your house and caravan arrangement sounds so fun!!
There's a craft room/house tour on my channel if you want to take a closer look...
@@luiseheinzl thank you! Yes I will look for sure. I also wanted to tell you that I really really appreciate that you make English videos 💜💜 I can imagine that it's a lot of work and I thank you
I can't believe how many good ideas you have imparted in this video! Using all the tiny pieces that needed to be used and the continuity of color throughout the journal. And how true is it that if you don't use it now you never will. Thank you for all of these gems. My next journal will be all the better after this video.
Aww 🥰🥰 thank you so much ❤️
Super. Can't wait for the flip through
I really appreciated hearing your creative process and what you're thinking when you create a spread. Also, the idea of organizing everything you will need to create your journal, pulling everything from the shelves so as not to distract from what you're doing, was very helpful. I love your art.
I am in love with the blue paste! great job! keep p the great work!
Your work is absolutely stunning. I love this project !!!
Very creative and I just love your style. 💕
I love your videos 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 you are so creative and funny 😄 thank you so much
Everything is so encouraging 😃
Your snippet strips are awesome
Breathtaking journal❤️
I'm going to work on a snippet roll for Dephemereber 2023 plaid and polka dot. I think it will be a good fit of ephemera to the prompt. I am so blessed to have found you this year and thank you for your kind lighthearted style, and smile and giggle that just makes my heart happy.
Love your final design on the snippet roll.....so many textures and colors....super yummy!! The blue and gold are so gorgeous together. I loved the punched out circle and how you used the positive and negative pieces. That is my MO. When I make ATCs....I use the die cut on the front design, then the negative outline piece for the back where I write my name/info. Really enjoying your channel....why have I not seen you before?? I love Barbara from 49 Dragonflies too!! TYFS ❤️🦋💜
Exquisite!!! Love love ❤️
Love this, you’re very talented !
What a great explanation!!! I'm so glad I found your channel.
Love your ideas and creativity!!
Just beautiful
Gorgeous snippets! You're English is great (flown)!
That blue is so lovely!!
This is gorgeous I will need to try this. Love the blue structure paste it looks so pretty. Thank you for sharing.
That bright blue glaze/paste is so eye catching. It does tie the whole thing together.
Beautiful 🤩❤️😍
Beautiful,awesome.
tearing the snippet roll whilst leaving the stitching intact - brilliant idea. thank you xxx
Wonderful snippets I liked how you showed us how you use them
Beautiful
Such wonderful new ideas for belly bands. Thank you. Love the ladder one!

Great use of the snippet roll Luise! So pretty!
Hallo Luise, ich habe gerade das junk journaling für mich entdeckt und bin sehr dankbar für alle deine Tipps! So thank you for this great tutorial!
Greetings Form Germany,
Nicole
I am in LOVE with this technique! It is absolute artwork! I can’t wait to try making my own beautiful snippet roll!
Love it! Thanks so much for sharing your amazing creativity with us! I'll bet Barbara is happy to see you using gold now 😂
Hi Luise, watching you video and we can get this here in the states but it is called stencil butter, it’s by TCW or Picket fence they both have them. I’ve never made a snippet roll from paper but have with fabric and lace. I’ll have to try it. Flown away past tense of fly. lol
Run. I don’t know how you could leave all your crafty things there when you leave the campground. I thought you lived there year round? Spring is popping out here in Indiana in the states hope it is around the corner for you. Thank you for these pass few videos. It is nice to see you doing simple things for new beginners. And a refresher for all of us. That Ledger paper in this journal is so cool. Hugs🫂
I really love your idea for the belly bands. The colours are stunning. Thank you so much Luise. Regards from Lita, South Wales UK. xxx
I absolutely love the addition of ink, splatters, and glazing paste on the snippet strips
The blue paste that you used looks like what we would call "texture paste" or "embossing paste" in English (I'm not sure what the difference is between the two, aside from what different brands might call it LOL). Thank you for sharing your creativity with us! Your work is always inspiring :)
Luise, love the use of these snippets. Your journal is Beautiful! ❤️ TYFS 🤗
You do an awesome job on your journals. Thank you for sharing! So many great ideas!
Beautiful belly bands, I'm loving the colors. In the States, we call those Bulb clips or pins. They really come in handy, that's for sure. TFS 💜🦋
Great timing! I just made my first ones but haven't sewn etc yet. I've also used mica in pastes to get the shimmer, really cool 😎. Lol I'm terrible for splatting everything too 😄. Oh sweetheart, maybe take a bucket or tub of water to your craft room. That's how I clean stuff in my craft area. So many great ideas for these! Yes, I forget things that are in my stash! Beautiful post card 😍. Yes, very satisfying to use the tiny scraps, I often make little collages with them. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖
12:19 it's usually called texture paste or glimmer paste :) You are so cute and so inspiring!!1THx for sharing this, very cool!!!♥☻☺ Have a great day!
Thank you so much ❤️
Your snippets are so beautiful! I hope I can make something similar to use in my journal!
Oh my goodness! Oh my heart! Your work is so beautiful! How I wish I could buy one of your journals but something so beautiful must surely be too valuable for me. I will have to watch all your videos and learn to make my own😊
Thank you so much ❤️
Were you talking about Texture Paste? I really love how you made your snippet strips. They are wonderful! Your Ocean Eyes Journal is getting better and better. Have flown, flew, are flying are all correct. You are doing a very good job with your English. Tonight I am so tired I can't think of a German sentence to write to you. Oh here's one. Naturlich, dein projekt ist schon.
Is it texture paste or structure paste? Will never learn the difference....
@@luiseheinzl we call it texture paste :) and the past tense of "fly" the way you used it would be either "the micro-beads flew all over my desk when I used my heat gun" OR "the micro-beads went flying all over my desk" -- both are appropriate, and it really only depends on your preference for how to say it (your style of speaking). I echo Bonnie's compliment of your English -- your mastery of English as a second language is impressive!
They are also called garment pins. They are used to hold rages to a garment.
The bulb pins are also called "gourd" pins, since they are shaped like a gourd (vegetable related to pumpkins).
So many great tips and ideas to use. But my favorite is where you tore the strip leaving it connected by its threads. It is really a unique look and goes great in your journal. This was a beautiful snippet roll. I don’t always have that much continuity in mine. Because I am usually using scraps or whatever is at hand.
Hi Luise. Love your art! What is the brand of paste paint you use on the stencil?
it's not available overseas...
I’m loving this whole process, does the book binders glue dry quickly, and what sort do you use? The electric blue paste is amazing. Thank you as always xxx
The book binders glue dries relatively quickly, yes. The brand is called DANA LIM. But I had others that worked well also
@@luiseheinzl thanks for that, haven’t tried it before x
Flew = pt of fly
Luise, I keep hearing you use the word “filligren”, I’m probably spelling it wrong. But what does that mean? I don’t recognize it as an English word. Just wondering. I love these snippets. The shiny blue is perfect!!
I am soooo sorry!!! I THOUGHT it was an English word, but you're right, it isn't. I meant filigree... like delicate
@@luiseheinzl Ooohhh!! Okay!! That makes 100% sense!! Lol. As far as that goes you can use any words you want. I just love watching how your mind works!! Lol
Are you talking about embossing powder?
If you tell me when exactly in the video, I perhaps can answer the question
Starfish is plural.....not “starfishes”.
