A nice little feature you forgot to mention, is that there are little courtesy lights on the front interior door handles. They're there so you can easily find the door handle at night.
I found this video helpful. To all the people Posting negative comments about this guy. We all know you’re sad people casting your sadness off to others
On my 17 you hit that 0 on key fab then hold down lock and it starts the truck and let’s it run for 5 mins you can also adjust the heater or a/c settings along with your heated seats or fan cooled seats so your truck gets warmed up motor wise and begins to get your climate inside the vehicle ready for you. You can also adjust what your headlights do when hitting the key and when shutting off the vehicle In the settings.
Nice video. I'm currently on my 2nd Silverado: a 2017 LTZ 5.3. I added a cat-back Borla Type S exhaust and a Godfather musical air horn. From watching another YT video I learned that you can go into settings and add an off-road infor to your instrumental scroll. I have the Z-71 package, so maybe you can only do this if you have the same. It will give the degrees of slope and tell you the wheel drive you are in--2W, AWD, or 4W.
I was skeptical owning this truck for three years but, I did learn from the video. Pen holder, sliding sun visor, and controlling the radio with voicomands was new to me.
Kool video! 2 features you probably should have mentioned is the somewhat hidden compartment when you lift up the center console. I had my truck about 2 weeks before I saw it. Also, the usb drive will allow you to play videos and picture files on the screen when parked.
Josh, thank you for the tips. Question, one of the light bulbs burnt out behind the in cab circulation button. how do i get the button off to replace the bulb?
The remote window feature will put all your windows down. Even if you don't want to. It has happened three times for me. The windows were down all night long. This happened from my keys being in my pocket. Not good if it's raining and you didn't know you accidentally put them down. The other thing is, anybody can get in your truck while they are down. I disabled this feature
Cool video I didn't know about moving things around on home screen. I have a 17 High Country 6.2L love the truck. Never mind the negative comments they come in all shapes and sizes.
Great Revue Josh.. Saw 3 others and not HALF the info.. Good Job, I'll play it at least 2 more times.. CAN I SUGGEST you do a Video on things t check before a long trip.. D E F FLUID, FUEL FILTER LIFE, The things that minimize the chances of getting stuck on a long trip.. Thanks... Dj
The power fold mirrors and auto down windows is on all truck just not all trucks have it turned on in the settings you just have to turn it on yourself
I suggest you get a obd2 plug that deactives the v4 mode you get the smae gas mileage but the active fuel management system just burns oil and isnt really good.
Josh: i really learned alot about my Silverado. Thanks. Wish there was more light in the interior. Prpbably velcro a couple led puck lights up. P.s., i need to try this: fold down your drivers make up mirror and those lights will come on.
Thanks Josh. I found a couple things on my 2015 I did not know I had. Also, a couple of the features you mentioned are only available on the LTZ models.
The rear seat reminder is for those parents who forget their kid is in the back. Some parents actually will forget a new born in back and go to work and the kid will die in the back seat. Chevy doesn't care about their customer's briefcases.
You forgot the remote start option, off road option, the locking lock box in the center of the truck under the front seat, 2 glove compartments now option, turn off/on delayed door lock option.......
He did not saying nothing about starting your truck with the remote , press the lock button twice then press the button at the top with circle and the truck should start up
Thanks for video! However, with sons of my own that are your age, I would like to give you some "speaking" advise. This is not a critique, but more of an encouragement for public and future videos. When speaking, try not to use "umm" "uhh" or "like". I only noticed that because I had an English teacher of my own would always correct us when we would say "umm" he would say "Umm, what's umm"? Again, I am not critiquing you, I am just helping out when speaking to others. When you start noticing how many times others use those terms before starting a sentence, you will start correcting yourself in the future :)
You should still have a factory warranty if the truck has under 60,000 miles. It could be as simple as a faulty battery. Have you tried putting a different battery in it?
Hey you left out one of the best features of the Silverado. The cheap ass built torque converters that will have you spending anywhere from 4 to 5 thousand dollars to get replaced. Ya there is no doubt they look good but my next truck will say Toyota on it.
James Thomas I’ve gone through Toyota’s and they’re absolute pieces of shit lmao I will still to Chevy for the rest of my life either you had a bad experience or did something wrong
@@paulcondie2520 Funny I almost forgot about this post. So I had it serviced about 2 days before the failure at a Chevrolet dealership. Then I came to find out that I was about 122 miles over the warranty so what do you think they said? Tough luck we will replace it for you but it will cost $2,000 more than a good transmission shop. They had a bad run of transmissions in that model year that's a fact. They also knew about it that's a fact. I read some stories where some didn't last past 25,000 miles.
@jamesthomas4868 that sucks! I have a 2017 I bought used. I did all the research before hand and installed a lower temp thermal bypass for transmission and did a service as well. I bought the truck used at 44,000 miles. Mine has the 6sp they say the 8sp was worse but then also installed the Range technologies afm delete module to keep it in V8 mode all the time. Switching from 4 to 8 the transmission doesn't know what to do plus the high heat from the factory transmission thermal bypass is extremely hard on the transmission and torque converter. So hopefully being pro active so to speak I'll get to well over 150,000 miles before an issue. 🤷 Total cost for everything was just under $500. I'm at 70,000 miles and good so far! 🙏🙏🙏. I absolutely love the truck, best looking model ever in my eyes, lol. Sorry you had the experience you did. Definitely have to service these vehicles before an issue! My work daily is a 93 Ford ranger with 511,000 miles and still rocking the original engine transmission and rear end. 3000 mile oil changes religiously
@@paulcondie2520 Roger that I still have mine with 180,000 on it I agree good looking truck I have taken excellent care of it. I also put the widget in to keep it in V8 all the time as well which I think is saving the motor. The transmission is solid from a fantastic shop. He had done so many of them they were stacked up like cord wood. He said it reminded him of the dodge truck transmission failures from I forget the year. Thanks for the other pro tips.
You’re the first guy that actually showed stuff I hadn’t seen!
Cool I learned a few things about my truck I didn’t know thank you
I just got the Sierra Denali and found this video helpful. Don't listen to the negative comments.
A nice little feature you forgot to mention, is that there are little courtesy lights on the front interior door handles. They're there so you can easily find the door handle at night.
Sean Guy Wish there was a Key Hole ring light on the ignition, glove box light and foot well lights that stay on just like the Map light that stays on
How do I turned them on?

Indeed, very cool. Really tho only the last feature was for cooling...
And everything is gm too!
