Filoni and his crew had the seemingly impossible task of turning a bunch of identical looking and sounding dudes into individuals you could empathize with, and they succeeded so much that... it hurts.
Let's give a lot of that credit to Dee Bradley Baker. He made each one unique but close enough to believe they were clones. That's unbelievable hard to pull off. He made the clones what they were. I know everyone loves Temura but to me he's the definitive Boba and Jango, and Dee Bradley Baker is the definitive clone.
I love the series and the movies ( just episodes 1-6) but TCW is what got me into star wars to begin with anyways. I remember being around 8 or 9 when the show came out, never got into rebels but loved the clone wars. I'm 22 now and I've been trying to get other people to check out the series. Imo true star wars fans should all watch the show because ik some people that haven't seen the series yet or just kind of talk bad about it. The new movies of star wars suck, 7 and up all trash, I don't even count those because how Terrible they were. And I think the clone wars are definitely better than them by a landslide.
“You’re a Generation One” “How did you know that?” “From the lines on your face” My boy is getting old, sometimes I forget they live a sad life with the rapid aging
I love all clones, as one does. but there was *always* something special about Rex. Filioni has said that in the end, the Clone Wars was the story of Ahsoka and Rex and honestly i see it. their friendship is just so so beautiful and heartwarming. and heartbreaking tbh. excellent video as usual.
I just wish he had not participated in hunting down Ahsoka when she was innocent, and at the end, they should not have split up. Yep, I'm a Rexsoka fan.
It's already painful to know that The Bad Batch is going to have only one more season. I can't get enough of the clones stories. It was amazing to see Rex back.
@@laurelicordero4126 No arguing back there. Animationwise clone wars and bad batch was of course much better. But gotta love the story in Rebels too :)
I think rexs breakdown as the inhibitor chip starts to kick in was actual heart breaking when a first watched it to even when he knows what he needed to do after the inhibitor chips was taken out he's just an amazing character wish we get to see more of him in the bad batch or in his own spin off
Rex you are the clone who avenged all of your brothers. you made sure that every clone who died for the Republic was not in vain. You helped restore the Republic that you and your brothers swore to protect. You lost so many people but your brothers, your general, your Republic, and your home. But now you either will die in peace or go down helping Ahsoka and go down in a blaze of glory with a clone--- no a Mandalorian's death
You could argue Rex is THE clone, maybe with the exception of Cody and Wolffe but Rex really just was THE clone. He didn’t even want to be Commander because he was willing to give that rank to Ahsoka. He obviously didn’t care about ranks either
Personally, I'd say more Wolffe than Cody, and hear me out on why I say this. In Episode 3, when Sidious said to carry out 66, Cody didn't think twice and ordered the tank he was beside to fire on Kenobi, and Cody was to Kenobi like Rex was to Anakin, his right hand man and probably the closest clone friend. When that order is issued to Rex, we see him physically fighting the command to fire until his will breaks. None of the rest of the clones were even willing to negotiate or listen to Rex when he was warning them about the chips and telling them to fight them. Just like how Jesse was saying Rex was viable for execution for helping Ahsoka, Cody probably would have done the same and probably just shot Rex straight out, but given we see Wolffe in Bad Batch, and this is just my speculation here, Wolffe was either a: incapacitated like Rex was and had his chip removed, or b: trusted Rex enough to take a gamble and listened to what Rex had to say, despite the chip's influnce.
@@Wintercomet100 Nah I think it's a matter of wheter or not they have seen it comming and rex did see it comming unlike the others who simply just didn't.
With Rex they created one of the best characters ever his loyalty never wavered he never looked just a truly remarkable character that will be known as one of the best if not the best
I Adore Every Clone So Much, But Rex has Always been My Favorite. He's just The Most Loyal Soldier ever. This Show turned Identical Soldiers into My Favorite Characters In All Of Star Wars by making each one of them Human and Unique. I will Always Love Rex and This Masterful Show!!! Rex is my favorite character in all of Star Wars…he was a good soldier, good friend, and one of the greatest clone leaders that that Republic had…I looked up to him…he was one of the greatest characters Filoni made…I’ll always love his character…It’s just a shame when the Empire rose, he was forced to go into hiding, and had to watch his brothers die, get replaced, and forgotten about…
There was a lot of good skilled trained and very honorable clone troopers in Star Wars but Captain Rex always stood out to me in my opinion he was the best Clone Trooper of his generation and even the generations to come my opinion if the war wouldn't have ended he would have been an admiral
"Civil War" by Guns and Roses. "Wrong Side of Heaven" by Five Finger Death Punch. These two songs should play as tribute to all the good Clone Soldiers who fought and died for the free Galaxy.
In the tapestry of a warrior's journey, scars aren't just marks on the skin; they're stories etched in flesh, a testament to resilience, and a badge of honor earned in the crucible of battle. Each scar narrates a tale of courage, survival, and the indomitable spirit that refuses to yield in the face of adversity. They are not blemishes but symbols, representing battles faced, challenges overcome, and the unwavering commitment to a cause greater than oneself. In the gallery of scars, a warrior wears the history of their victories and defeats, a living chronicle that speaks volumes of the strength and character forged in the fiery embrace of conflict. Scars are not flaws; they are the glorious imprints of a warrior's journey-a visual anthem echoing the resilience that refuses to be erased by the sands of time.
As a United States Marine I always connected with the clones even though my dad named me after Obi Wan. With great power comes great responsibility. But with a loving family comes even more important responsibility

even the impossible can be achieved. that’s all i’ll say
And dude made it again with a thrownawy idea from Lucas of giving Anakin a Padawan
I am currently building a clone team in the mobile game star wars
Literally 1 minute of Captain Rex is better than the entire sequel triology
Rex is chronologically and IRL older than the sequels. And as we know, Experience outranks everything
Agreed
In my opinion the series are better than the movies.
That isn’t an opinion that is a FACT
