Bonneville is magical, mystical, historical. My whole life most of my life, I have dreamed of racing at Bonneville, this past summer (2024) I finally made it there. And I went 184.277 MPH. Dream come true!! Can't wait to get back!
I was at Speedweek 2024 this year. It was a great year. The salt was really hard. Lots of records were made. The last couple two or three years it’s been pretty rough with rain and poor conditions. I’m happy to finally see. They got a good event this year.
And Add about 400 more pounds behind the driver. Its Gotta be heavy... Ask me how i know. Record at 201mph in 1979, had to add a lotta weight to the Ol 67 Camaro. Keep trying , Big Red is the GOAT!🏁🏁🏁🇺🇸 Heavy is your friend at Bonneville.
200 is not much anymore. Drag and Drive has gone 256 in the quarter and not on a trailer. The problem there is getting the power to the ground. Maybe it needs a wing on the back for downforce to get more traction.
This car has gone well over 200 mph at Bonneville, multiple times... And going fast at Bonneville is WAY different than anywhere else, that includes dragstrips....
It has been said that Bonneville is a very humbling place to go fast. I know. It took me 16 years to get into the 200 MPH club.

Bonneville is an ice rink compared do a drag strip lol
running on salt isnt much different than on sand. try 200+ on sand. fully prepped pavement with a ton of stickum on it are nothing alike.
Make comments like this are very uninformed at the very least.
