the first warframe ever shown, and the one more often used for marketting, was excalibur. in the soulframe trailer, this character approaches the sword in the stone and pulls it out. these people must really like the excalibur legends
Agreed. Swords are overrated in entertainment media. Polearms and spears were more common and deadly IRL. Funny enough even in warframe swords are not good as other weapons because of less range.

and norse mythology. don't forget that part. the mention of odin, the obvious fenrir being bound reference. not sure about the moose though, and a lot of the other imagery evoked celtic vibes for me? *shrugs* still, looks fun. i'm down for playing some kind of technodruid that taps into earth powers to bring down a toxicpunk metal tyranny society

They said it's not going to be a sequal or prequal but a sister or mirror of the warframe universe which I'm guessing is going to be sort of what final fantasy is in a way
Like how each Final Fantasy has a magic crystal and chocobo of some sort?
@@bulthaosen1169 yes they said it's a mirror world which is exactly what final fantasy since none of the final fantasy worlds take place in the same timeline you may see warframe lifeforms in this if it is that way

I don't know what Warframe is but I'm hoping for a Singleplayer experience. It seems to be third Person action game kinda like the newer god of war? I'd be excited if that's the case

its a “REVEAL” trailer. Some reveal trailers are cinematic, then soon after they’ll release a gameplay trailer or something

If y’all watched the recent transition stream that Scott and the others did they talked about Soulframe and warframe’s future. In essence, they revealed Soulframe waaaaaay early. As in they hadn’t started development until this past spring. The reason why they showcased it sooner is because they wanted to give the proper reasoning for why Scott and the others won’t be showing up to Warframes streams anymore.
In other words…game is a while away from being in a state of “gameplay”.
You people are never patient, my God. It's a reveal trailer, and we don't know in what development the game is in. Also, this is not a new trailer 🙃
Yeah, I prefer reveal trailers that actually have gameplay. That’s what we all want to see. Every time I see a reveal trailer without gameplay I find it hard to get excited anymore until I actually see real gameplay.
6 minutes of CGI and no gameplay basically means the game doesn't exist yet. Just a video to build up hype for something that has basically a 50% chance to be released.

Whatever this game turns out to be, the trailer is amazing.

People have short term memory it seems 🙃 Also, it's a cinematic trailer, it's not gonna look like that. Probably will be an upgraded look from Warframe, but similar.
People are never patient, and expect too much...it's a REVEAL trailer, not gameplay trailer. It's the first look at it, all reveal trailers have been cinematic.
It's in engine it will look like this or at least very close to this. they showed some gameplay shorts in their last stream and it looks exactly like this.

I cant help, but the character looks bit Orokin...the hand, and so on, THAT would be lit, if it was BIG before Warframe, or a different multiverse.

As someone who enjoyed playing WARFRAME a little but just felt lost on where to go and disappointed over them removing raids this looks cool I'll probably play this especially if this has a multiplayer element to it

I dunno if I wanna grind another DE game though, Started my WF journey as a casual Tenno trying to make their way across a confusing galaxy, 8 years later after playing it on and off I've finally put the game down for good My Account ends up some rogue trader with so many vaulted goods I don't know what to sell them for. This looks cool though but all that time investment for the ultimate eventual burnout.

It's borrowing concepts from several souls games. The fake arm from shakiro and elden ring, the recurring 🗡️ theme. The title phrased in the same manner that players refer to the demon souls related games.
Example: souls game, soul frame.

You do know that the real dark sector IS warframe right. The dark sector they released in 2009 is nothing more then a shell of the game they really wanted to make "warframe" because publishers forced them to change it.

I mean, it's very early in development. It's not coming out for a few years. This trailer exists to explain why a bunch of devs including the creative director are leaving Warframe
@@elk3407 They are not leaving warframe. They are still going to be doing updates on it and its not a "bunch" only the creative director, art designer and level designer and warframe is being handled by a new team with new director.
@@ashman749 Uh... 3 is a bunch in my books, and they are in fact leaving warframe to make soulframe. I never said DE was stopping Warframe, just that some people left the development team for it.
