The Incredible Hulk was never a mistake. It was a great look into the character of Bruce Banner and his struggles with trying to maintain control of the Hulk and the Hulk himself was way more intense and terrifying than Mark Ruffalo’s version. It was a great movie and Marvel shouldn’t distance itself from it.
There’s a lot to unpack from that list, and honestly, I just always figure inconsistencies in the timeline have to do with the world they live in having superheroes and villains, so why not? And I thought Modok was supposed to have a goofy looking, giant head, lol!😂
#15 maybe it's bc the other heroes have their own problems tied on their hands 2013-2014: Tony has his hands tied with the mandarin and he "retired". And Steve is tied with rescuing Bucky while dealing with those corrupted shield agents/hydra)
I love The Dark world!! However it’s an emotional attachment. It’s not only the first film I saw in theaters after a major move. But for some reason it played on a loop in the hospital during my daughters birth.
My only problem I have is why do enemies not shoot cap feet when he blocks Or the fact that nebula got winter soldier arm I’m going on the theory that she took a prototype not his actual arm he’s using
For the Electro issue, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Gwen yells out for Peter when Electro is present. Electro was tasked with finding/killing Spider-Man/Peter Parker and likely put two and two together when Gwen yelled Peter's name.
What about Disney favoring quantity over quality? Everything was heading towards INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME And now watching anything from the MCU became a chore we no longer want to endure
I used to be on top of watching everything. Now the last MCU movie I saw was the latest Thor movie and the last show I watched was She-Hulk. I’m waiting on the next season of Loki, but not sure how invested I really am anymore.
Electro could very well knew Peter’s identity from the fact that he was not only absorbing power, but also information from every electronic device including security, satellite and various of other deductible components that could clicked in his mind that Peter is Spider-Man. And based on how he expected Peter to be black, he only found out his identity but he never saw Peter Parker.
Exactly, there were so many ways they could have explained that, yours is a very solid one or if they wanted to keep it famtastical they could have said Electro got a lock of Peter's bioelectrical aura from the radiated spider cells
I think they lightly explain the Iron Man 3 issue in Endgame. The fact that he quit superheroing after Thanos' attack. Yet got pulled into the time heist because of how much he cares about the Earth and the Avengers. That really showed Tony, while an arrogant jerk sometimes, actually cares a lot about the world.
Odin once had all infinity stones and a gauntlet to use them. (newly created gauntlet is just a copy of the one in the vault) He hid the infinity stones all across the universe, but kept fakes of the infinite stones in the vault so seekers would still think the infinity stones are in Odin's possession. You see this partially have success with Thanos only really starting to hunt the stones AFTER Odin has died and Asgard has been destroyed.
WandaVision = Kind of funny/cool, but MOSTLY it's a horrible tale about a woman who, JUST because she had the power to do so, enslaved, tortured, and also KILLED a bunch of innocent people JUST because she couldn't be a "mommy." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously... Could you imagine EVERY woman who has ever lost a child or been dump, and subsequently denied the ability to have a family, just going on a murder spree? That's basically what Wanda did. She was sooooooooooo sad that she didn't get to have her fake kids that she ruined MANY people's lives. Oh, and killed a bunch of people. But, for some reason, we're all just supposed to forgive that and feel bad for her? Lol 😂
It’s the same direction Disney went with Maleficent and Cruella de Vil with their live-action prequels. Make them the "misunderstood heroes" instead of the villains they were originally written as that made them more interesting and memorable characters in the first place. What makes it worse is all the Wanda stans that overly defend her and treat her like she’s the best female character of all time despite all the horrible things she did as the "villain" and never got the consequences for them. She used to be one of my favorite MCU characters before Disney and her stans ruined her.
They actually included a minor throwaway line about Electro existing in the grid, absorbing information after Peter 3 beat him, implying he figured it out somehow. The "I thought you'd be black" conversation seemed more like a "let's make social commentary" line than anything else.
@erikwhittla7224 more than one thing can be true, but the "you help a lot of poor people" and the fact that per recent census figures there are more white, asian, and latino people in Queens than black people make the assertion that Electro thought he was black come off more as commentary than a wink at Miles.
#17 Was not a mistake The Incredible Hulk is the best Hulk movie ever at least it knows how to be serious and not ruin a moment with stupid unfunny comedy.
20. Hey! At least it still looks better than all the bad CGI in movies like Son Of The Mask, The Lawnmower Man AND The Langoliers. (I know I use this A LOT whenever "bad CGI" is mentioned in films. But there's a reason why it bears repeating, it could've looked worse.) 13. Given what happened, maybe Agatha was right to try to take Wanda's powers, she was NOT right in the mind, further cemented by her villainous turn in Multiverse of Madness. Time to change the song's lyrics. "It's been Wanda all a-looooong 🎵." In fact, I am nominating her for "Top 10 TV Characters That Are Actually The Villain," once that list gets made. 11. And yet The Dark World and Love and Thunder DON'T have bad scores on their rotten tomatoes pages. Numbers matter, Mojo (except when they don't, like with your Top 10 Good Movies With Bad Rotten Tomatoes Scores lists). 2. The worst offender was... um.. whatever that "Alpha Deviant's" name was in Eternals, which was so bland and boring that it doesn't even have a name. Give other MCU villains credit, they at least had one! This is the most basic of basics!
And they said Malekith was bad, Iron Man has *Bar Jeff Bridges's Obadiah Stane* he has the worst Villians, Including all the Villians they made Iron Man Villians!!!
Nova Corps messed up, like how they say in Star Lord’s bio his alias is “Star Prince”. And Jon Watts, director of the Tom Holland movies said it is supposed to be 4 years later in 2016
It's not like they could've had him retrieve it through Loki while he was still disguised as Odin. No, that would've made sense. Thanos had to make his gauntlet from scratch. Because it's not like it was something he probably tried once before.
How about their lack of keeping a bridge between TV and Movies. I.E. Pre-Disney+ MCU TV..... lots of introductions and Maguffins that could play a bigger role but go nowhere? Do I go on? I have an entire list of things to forget
The 16 slot can be easily explained. It really only occurs through Iron Man 3 and Thor: Dark World. And the answer was in the Winter Soldier: Hydra. Hydra was growing inside SHIELD and could easily see that since the attack on New York of 2012, they’re practically unstoppable as a team. But if they’re kept separate with say Killian’s terrorist attacks or the Dark Elf invasion, Hydra counted on those incidents to kill off individual members of the Avengers. And to make sure they happen, they would opt to cut off any news source or communication from the rest of the team members to keep it that way. But once Hydra was put to a stop in Winter Soldier, it was time for the Avengers to assemble since without SHIELD, the world is without protection. And Doctor Strange didn’t forget the Avengers when Dormammu came along, they just didn’t call them in because they clearly stated that it’s the duty of the Sorcerers to fend off the otherworldly forces. Or if for an external universe explanation, it seems to me people have this underestimation of these MCU heroes that they doubt they can handle things solo. I personally to have them soloing out rather than call in the Avengers together every time a new threat comes along that really one of them can handle by themselves. Plus, if the MCU did do these kinds of teamsups so frequently then Avengers: Endgame would not have been the same since it would cheapens the impact of their combined efforts to defeat Thanos. And besides, heroes having solo adventures despite the Avengers being introduced previously is a reflection of the comics themselves. They didn’t stop publishing independent stories just because they formed an alliance. Characters need space to breathe and be on their own. There shouldn’t be anything wrong with that.
Letting Great Directors go should've been higher, like No. 2. Edgar Wright would've never let Antman be the cookie cutter franchise that it is. Most importantly, James Gunn was set to be the manager of the MCU's cosmos. Any movie related to space, its makers would've had to consult with him. This could've allowed for more creative diversity. In the long run, he could've take over from Feige even. Now he's running DC and it's looking better than MCU.
Thor The Dark World, at first we are treating this film harshly, But we have to wait NINE Years to See the worst of the worst of the Thor Movies might as well as MCU Movies. TDW Felt a Important film because of its inclusion of Reality Stone and Of course, Loki. L&T is Too Joke-y and Never takes itself seriously, even there are serious moments, it is wasted away by Unfunny jokes and Even the Absence of Loki won't save the movie.
No. 6 Did Watchmojo forget about how HYDRA revealed themselves to the world after the events of Iron Man 3. You ever think Tony, realizing the threat of HYDRA, restarted the Iron Legion project
Another thing I think they might want us to forget about is the eternals. They haven't been mentioned at all and the celestial that came out of the ground. Maybe in the future they will actually mention them but I haven't seen hide or hair of them. The incredible hulk by the way did not have the proper promos to give people an incentive to watch it and it came out the same year as iron Man 1 in 2007. Because iron Man was actually being promoted more The incredible hulk was overlooked. I actually worked at a theater when this was going on and a lot of people dating even knew anything about it including that it was linked to the MCU. I think even today a lot of people think that they're two different movies universes. Here's a question, would anybody be against seeing other Marvel properties merging into the MCU that they did in Spider-Man no way home? Like the blade series, the X-Men universes, the fantastic four's, Brad Pitt's Daredevil, Ghost riders, and many more?
They’re trying to connect all the movies pre MCU into Secret Wars last time I heard. Trying to get all the actors in to do I guess a last hoorah with their characters
One mistake I noticed in the MCU was in the mid-credits scene of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." In the mid-credits scene, you see Smart Hulk as Bruce Banner, but it was shown in "Avengers: Endgame" that Bruce combined the brains and the brawn together, and so he became Smart Hulk. In "Avengers: Endgame" the only time you see him as Bruce Banner again after becoming Smart Hulk was during the time heist when The Ancient One pushed Bruce's astral body out of his physical body.
They never implicitly said that Hulk will never allow Bruce to take over again. Also, in She-Hulk, Bruce was able to voluntarily switch between himself and Smart Hulk. As Bruce he was able to do things like drive his car, and as Smart Hulk he was able to train Jennifer to use her hulk powers.
I think you guys forgot that the 2008 Hulk movie wasn't the first Hulk film. In 2003 Ang Lee directed The Hulk starring Eric Bana. Edward Norton's Hulk was not as bad as the 2003 version. Both movies had their problems, but at least now we have Mark Ruffalo's version.
“Agent Carter” was really good! Too bad it didn’t get the recognition it deserved. (“Ms. Marvel” was pretty good also, especially because of actress Iman Vellani. Yeah it’s made more for young teens, but it’s really goo for what it is. Same as “She-Hulk”.)
Regarding the Iron Man 3 ending and Tony coming out of "retirement", people quickly forget that Winter Soldier happened and SHIELD were effectively disbanded and as Tony says at the end here, he is Iron Man - despite getting rid of his tech, he was always capable for building more if needed and then Age of Ultron starts with them sweeping away the last of HYDRA (that they know of, or the films acknowledged at the time). And though it isn't directly stated, it feels implied that is part of his reasoning for Ultron, because he feels he needs to protect the world - as Wanda exploited his worst fear. And then in Civil War, he is trying to take a back seat but keeps getting dragged into situations - take the exchange between him and Natasha when she asks did he bring a suit and he quips something about a lovely three piece. If the audience can just connect these things together, you could derive his reasons for stepping back into the suit
3:40 Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually The Incredible Hulk director’s first choice for Bruce Banner, but Universal wanted Norton because he was more famous at the time.
Hulk in 2008's 'The Incredible Hulk' film was so much better than any of his other appearances in the other movies. Especially the absolutely terrible current version of "Smart Hulk". I stopped watching all MCU related content after 'Avengers: End Game' due to Disney neutering the Hulk. It almost makes me embarrassed to be a Hulk fan at all.
For #17, do people not like the Incredible Hulk movie? How?? I love the design of that Hulk with his green eyes and hair. He certainly looks more menacing & angry than the joke of the Hulk ever since the She-Hulk show
I’m not one of those fans that want to see villains stick around for more than one movie unless they’re a part of a bigger story. It doesn’t bother me if they get killed off in one movie because it gives other villains a chance to on screen.
19:30 wenwu? A great villain? The guy who couldn't even take down the first person he met when he came to that village, who later became his wife. That guy who thought after losing to one person, he could take on the entire village? I never once got the feeling he was a threat in the movie
No. 1 should've been Captain Marvel as a whole. I dunno what's worse, how fatal it is as a mistake to the lore and that it can't be undone or the fact that Marvel is "PROUD" of it and wants the audiences to be reminded.
@@Muhammadwasapedo What's the point of more female led movies if they're not gonna be good? For the record, I DO want more female led movies but they HAVE to be good.
I prefer to blame Disney. Since Disney took over Marvel in 2009, Marvel's characters both in the comics, and the movies have suffered greatly. Disney has been implementing a "forced diversity" into Marvel's characters in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience (thus allowing Disney to make more money), and in the process they're alienating long-time fans of these characters. I feel that Disney is truly to blame here, not Marvel themselves.
@@ThePrinceofHisOwnKingdom True, diversity is beneficial when it happens organically. However, that's not the approach Disney has decided to take. Their method feels very unnatural and inappropriate. Therefore, it comes off as being forced.
Edward Norton was offered a contract, but turned it due to his knowledge of the constant (ridiculous) script changes made by Feigi from prior marvel movies, including the Incredible Hulk. This is why we have a joke of a Banner/Hulk hybrid now, instead of a cautious/rational Banner who tries to protect the world from himself, which would have been a great point in Ragnarok if they didn’t start making him the butt of every joke.
Let's not forget that Marvel tends to ruin character development and betray the source material in which they take inspiration from. Such as Nick Fury in Captain America The Winter Soldier says the last time he trusted someone it cost him his eye. That line lead us to believe we would get some sort of reveal of a betrayal very personal to him. Nope, instead we see it was do to a cat scratching his eye in Captain Marvel, it became a joke. Then you have characters like Yellow Jacket, Ghost, Taskmaster and M.O.D.O.K. that were so far removed from their roles in the comics and animated series that it turned fans off when they were introduced into the MCU.
I remember how excited I was for Marvel movies after the first few came out, especially Iron Man 1 and 2, Avengers or the first Guardians. And after a few good years, it all started to go downhill in my opinion, because they produced so much content that I just couldn't keep up. And neither could they as it turns out.
Although some ARE mistakes, I wouldn't count many of these" Even the Electro one really isn't -- he was in the computer and had access to information. Yeah, it's a little bit of a stretch, but he could easily have learned Peter's name --him not knowing that Peter was white doesn't mean he didn't know that Spider-man WAS Peter. It is never discussed WHEN Thanos had the gauntlet made -- that could have happened as it appeared, Thor just hadn't had the need to travel and find out that the forge had been destroyed. The designation of the MCU as 199999 or 616 is just arbitrary -- 199999 was only ever stated in a book and never onscreen. It would be likely that, even with multiple people in multiple universes being aware of the multiverse, that people wouldn't use the same numbering system. Hence the Iluminati's world could have come up with 616 for the main MCU timeline AND Miguel O'Hara could have called the same universe 199999. That ISN'T a mistake. Iron Man 3's ending IS explained in the movies when Tony explains why he and Pepper aren't together at the moment -- that he wanted to walk away but he couldn't. As for directors, some directors walk away on their own -- some just don't work out. That's NOT a mistake. (Firing Gunn WAS a mistake -- but that came from higher ups at Disney than something Feige wanted.) And on and on and on. So the list REALLY should be called 4 or 5 mistakes and a lot of nitpicking that Marvel wants you to forget.
@20:01 I think Marvel jumped the gun on "Inhumans". Not that it would have helped, but maybe it should have released around or sometime after "Eternals"
12:19 With Gamora it's possible that is an example where Thanos' ideology was proven flawed that he ignores, where with half the species dead the other half is unable to carry on and ultimately end up going extinct.
Well, Universal's movie rights to the Hulk has expired in 2023. The Incredible Hulk is now sold to Disney. Watching it now on Disney+ is weird, it's not because of the movie, it's because we get to see the Universal logo standing behind the Disney+ logo. 😂 also, Steve Roger is a lady's man. he not only kissed Peggy & then her great niece over 70 years later, but he also kissed Black Widow to fool enemies by disguising himself & Widow as couples.
@@LeonardoKlotz well, Paramount didn't really care about Marvel so much, they only accepted the part as distributors of Iron Man & other films & that's basically it. The idea of Iron Man & other films is that Marvel decided to make motion pictures themselves.
The InHumans should never, never been a Tv Series. They should just stand with them as a Movie! What the Hell? The fact the Black Bolt made his cameo in Doctor Strange 2. was a real Joy. But who's knows if, The InHumans can make it back to the MCU?

@@ThePrinceofHisOwnKingdom To be clear, what I meant was the comic book version of Starlord had been turned into Chris Pratt.
It was a welcome change.
In the comics he’s basically a space cop but after the MCU they made him a roguish outlaw with a lot of charm.

The Incredible Hulk is referenced in the Avengers, actually. And it's underrated.
A mistake that deserves to be forgotten by everyone is the Eternals. Everyone posted multiple errors with that thing.

@@teekay7668 gotta disagree I think Thor Ragnarok was actually one of Marvel's best movies personally

Soldiers are trained to aim for center mass to give the greatest chance to hit the target.
For the Electro issue, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Gwen yells out for Peter when Electro is present. Electro was tasked with finding/killing Spider-Man/Peter Parker and likely put two and two together when Gwen yelled Peter's name.

The Incredible Hulk is NOT a mistake, fuck whoever says so, it's an awesome movie and the best portrayal of The Hulk to this day!
What about Disney favoring quantity over quality?
Everything was heading towards INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME
And now watching anything from the MCU became a chore we no longer want to endure
2008 Hulk’s design looks better to me.
In my opinion.
good job about Making MCU MISTAKES Marvel Wants You To Forget from Top 20
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I watched most of the movies mentioned, but missed noticing the MCU mistakes. 🤣
Odin once had all infinity stones and a gauntlet to use them. (newly created gauntlet is just a copy of the one in the vault)
He hid the infinity stones all across the universe, but kept fakes of the infinite stones in the vault so seekers would still think the infinity stones are in Odin's possession.
You see this partially have success with Thanos only really starting to hunt the stones AFTER Odin has died and Asgard has been destroyed.
WandaVision = Kind of funny/cool, but MOSTLY it's a horrible tale about a woman who, JUST because she had the power to do so, enslaved, tortured, and also KILLED a bunch of innocent people JUST because she couldn't be a "mommy." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seriously...
Edward Norton will always be the best Hulk
They actually included a minor throwaway line about Electro existing in the grid, absorbing information after Peter 3 beat him, implying he figured it out somehow. The "I thought you'd be black" conversation seemed more like a "let's make social commentary" line than anything else.
I think it was more of a wink wink towards Miles Morales
@erikwhittla7224 more than one thing can be true, but the "you help a lot of poor people" and the fact that per recent census figures there are more white, asian, and latino people in Queens than black people make the assertion that Electro thought he was black come off more as commentary than a wink at Miles.
Love the YD voiceovers!
#17 Was not a mistake The Incredible Hulk is the best Hulk movie ever at least it knows how to be serious and not ruin a moment with stupid unfunny comedy.
The Edward Norton Hulk is easily the best which I know isn't saying much, but it's pretty decent. Mark Ruffalo fits better, but the movie was good
The mcu could've very easily rectified that "8 Years Later" mistake in DVD and BluRay releases. But they never did...
Surprised Eternals didn’t make it into this list, or possibly the casting of Jonathan Majors.
WatchMojo liked garbage Eternals it has leftist propaganda
Majors was a great casting
Because Disney paying watchmojo a lot for positive publicity
I tend to think the visual effects are secondary to a good story.
Antman3 is fun and stand out from the previous.
20. Hey! At least it still looks better than all the bad CGI in movies like Son Of The Mask, The Lawnmower Man AND The Langoliers. (I know I use this A LOT whenever "bad CGI" is mentioned in films. But there's a reason why it bears repeating, it could've looked worse.)
13. Given what happened, maybe Agatha was right to try to take Wanda's powers, she was NOT right in the mind, further cemented by her villainous turn in Multiverse of Madness. Time to change the song's lyrics.
"It's been Wanda all a-looooong 🎵."
In fact, I am nominating her for "Top 10 TV Characters That Are Actually The Villain," once that list gets made.
Wanda’s villainous turn was caused by the Darkhold, which corrupts anyone who reads it.
Even Agents of SHIELD explained this.
The Biggest insult to MCU Villians was The Manderin in Iron Man 3. They took Iron man's greatest Villian & turned him into a joke character.
but they made up for it in Shang-Chi
And they said Malekith was bad, Iron Man has *Bar Jeff Bridges's Obadiah Stane* he has the worst Villians, Including all the Villians they made Iron Man Villians!!!
Nova Corps messed up, like how they say in Star Lord’s bio his alias is “Star Prince”. And Jon Watts, director of the Tom Holland movies said it is supposed to be 4 years later in 2016
After what they did to Hulk and Thor

Also, yes, the Gauntlet was made in 2015 with that post credit scene because at that point Thanos decided to go on the hunt for the Stones
It's not like they could've had him retrieve it through Loki while he was still disguised as Odin.
No, that would've made sense.
Thanos had to make his gauntlet from scratch. Because it's not like it was something he probably tried once before.
The disconnection between the movies and the Nerflix series were a good thing
Because now, watching everything from the MCU became a chore
3 is not an issue until some people made it one.
Captain merica really wanted us to forget that kiss 😂

It's been referenced in She-Hulk. Also, Brad Pitt's Daredevil? Don't you mean Ben Affleck?
They’re trying to connect all the movies pre MCU into Secret Wars last time I heard. Trying to get all the actors in to do I guess a last hoorah with their characters
The Celestial coming out of the earth was referenced in an episode of She-Hulk.
As well, Ms. Marvel also referenced Kingo & his Bollywood career.
Darn it!
Amazing video watch mojo of many mistakes in the mcu, fantastic job.
The hulk of 2008 - was incredible. I prefer him than the new hulk.
Never thought Inhumans would be top when i was expecting a Phase 4 movie like Eternals
Nothing compares to the train wreck that was Inhumans. Nothing in the MCU even comes close to that, not even Thor 4.

I’m not one of those fans that want to see villains stick around for more than one movie unless they’re a part of a bigger story. It doesn’t bother me if they get killed off in one movie because it gives other villains a chance to on screen.
Same, Loki was the Major expection, Thanos from 2018 gets killed early in Endgame.

He wasn't even evil enough to be called the Mandarin.
No. 1 should've been Captain Marvel as a whole. I dunno what's worse, how fatal it is as a mistake to the lore and that it can't be undone or the fact that Marvel is "PROUD" of it and wants the audiences to be reminded.
But...but...then there would be one less female lead, abd mojo can't have that.
@@JbombTheGreat I don't mind diversity, in fact I think it's neccesary, but it should not have come at the cost of quality.
One of the few times I agree.
If Nick Fury had the tesseract in 1995 as we saw in Captain Marvel, then why was it with cap in 2012
Half of these aren’t even mistakes💀💀💀am I missing something? Lol
I remember how excited I was for Marvel movies after the first few came out, especially Iron Man 1 and 2, Avengers or the first Guardians. And after a few good years, it all started to go downhill in my opinion, because they produced so much content that I just couldn't keep up. And neither could they as it turns out.
Scarlett Witch didn’t die
I Think a Fake gaulet was for odin's Strength
The Incredible Hulk was peak. They don't make movies like that anymore now. The movie showed Hulk at his Vulnerable and his strongest.
