Sometimes, reviews like this tend to age poorly and only peak because of popularity... I should point some stuff out here, the less important stuff I'll skip.
2:03 I agree about the AI characters getting in your way without any of that being intentional, and it would've helped to have the Helm's Deep soldiers not collide with your character.
2:25 Mike might be referring to himself even if he says "you", as in us viewers who might've played the game when we were younger. He isn't wrong about your allies not helping you knock away the ladders, it could've been excusable if there were many Orcs and Uruk-hai appearing at once.
2:51-2:58-3:05 Those combos aren't very advanced, admittedly. I can easily remember them all like the back of my hand, so Mike might be wrongly bashing on this especially when you can always pause and click the "Show Upgrades" menu, to remind yourself of what to press... And in fact, the combo reminders are on there to avoid taking you out of the action.
3:21 Sometimes you must find other routes to reach for example, quivers.
4:02 I didn't really care for how long it took in this battle, but I can definitely say Mike just wasn't playing right in order to keep the doors from being damaged.
Closing remarks for _Two Towers:_ Mike would absolutely struggle with the final Helm's Deep level, but I know I also did because I didn't understand the dire situation of archers on the wall when I was younger and stupider.
5:16 The map in Minas Tirith has a spot turning blue to signal that that's where your catapult is, and Mike is also right about us not immediately knowing it'd be up there.
6:10 Legolas and Gimli (or even Aragorn if you're not playing as him) run ahead because their AI pathfinding wouldn't be able to account for the dropping rocks behind them. They're ultimately not assholes, and not even when you have to fight some Spirits of the Dead without their help.
6:57 The catapults aren't permanently unusable once you've fired them, they reload after some time and it might've been anti-climactic if they immediately Mûma-killed.
8:03 I think Mike means even if you parry well, you have to do much in order to try firing projectiles at the elephant's spots.
8:13 Mike must've been very impatient on this, given you must HOLD DOWN the Projectile button before you can even fire it. It's therefore not the controls that suck, _he_ probably just doesn't play well.
9:30 You _don't have to run down to Eowyn and Merry to shoot the Witch King,_ as the cliffs on both sides reach out enough to let you shoot from either. This helps for when more Mûmakil come. The part concerning the camera angles are accurate however, it would've been more intuitive to show our camera facing the Mûmakil so we can easier see where to run.
11:08 ...So basically, Mike is salty because he's not a good player? I again look back on when I was young and stupid, but I did understand what to do eventually. There are games you look back on fondly when you just sucked balls at them as maybe a pre-teen, but practice makes perfect!
Mike's problems could be more justified if he were playing on the hardest difficulty, which would of course demand knowing when to parry and so on. He did however leave out the Path of the Hobbit, but that may've stemmed from him ragequitting at the Pelennor Fields… so he refused to continue. All in all, Mike just sucks at playing games here so… a fair number of these are his own problems.

Having played these games, I can tell you that Mike was just crap at those parts. The catapult section was actually really easy, he just had to alternate between the orcs and the catapult. Minas Tirith was actually really difficult though because of a monster you had to kill later in that level. The elephant section wasn’t that hard either as that was on the PS2 version where the controls were better (Once the archers are dead, the elephants go down as a result).

I don't think the controls differ much between ports, but you'll absolutely need a different muscle memory on the PC version.

To anyone that's bitching about mike, it's just his opinions. People should think twice about what there bitching about. Sometimes you guys take opinions way to seriously.
