Hello...i have just recently started a pressure washing business. I closed my second job yesterday. They are wanting an old composite deck and walkway cleaned as well as driveway. Was wondering what precaustions i should take when cleaning old composite decking? Done a bit of research this morning. Says sh may not be safe for composite decking...i really dont want to damage my clients property. Any advice would be great. Thank you for your content btw keep it up and god bless.
Hey Mike which metering valves are you using? Also not sure why or how but it almost seems your mix doesn’t lose pressure coming out of the gun… that being said I build my own soft washing system and build my gun out a hose gun sprayer. Any ideas as to why I lose pressure?
Good Saturday morning Jzeus. Thank you for reaching out. I use 1/2” GF valves. They are a bit pricey, but work really well. Make sure your pump has as few restrictions as possible. Also, your pump needs to be laying flat or vertical (with the head downward).
mike what would be the benifit of the 12v pump over the downstream setup? If you have a downstreamer seems like the 12v pump is not necessary. Am I wrong?
I should have mentioned that. Just simple residue left in the hose overnight. Actually, it really doesn’t matter how long it sits there. After a few hours, the residue forms.
Great question. For whatever reason, every time I prime the pump, it pushes the black (brown) gunk out just before it turns to chem. I’m wondering if perhaps it’s sediment that occurs in the line over night.
Mike washed my composite deck and it looked brand new when he was done. Total PRO!!!
Thank you brother. I’m super grateful!
Nice vid, but what is your min charge please ???? thank you....
$200 as of 2022.
@@TheFreshRinse Very good, thank you.

Hey there. Congratulations. I only use SH. I’ve never had any problems.

The 12 volt is connected to a metering system. This allows me to increase the potency of the SH. Downstreaming doesn’t allow that. Hope this helps.
Did you wash with roof pump then rinse with pressure washer?
Yes sir!
What was the black coming out of the hose at the beginning?
I should have mentioned that. Just simple residue left in the hose overnight. Actually, it really doesn’t matter how long it sits there. After a few hours, the residue forms.
My 12v around a minute to get chems out and to rinse out…200’ 1/2” 5.5 gpm.
Yep!
Interesting 🤔 What kind of time difference between your 12 volt and Joe's?
Joe would need to time his. We were both just guessing. He guessed 5 minutes. I guessed 2 minutes.
@@TheFreshRinse quite a difference in guestimation, but maybe his does take that long. 🤷♂️
@@tonyyyyy4672 Yeah, it was a casual conversation… that led to a video. The things we PW nerds talk about.
@@TheFreshRinse LOL right!
why is the water turning black the signifier that soap is now present in the mix?

@@TheFreshRinse Very interesting Mike thank you for the info as always, keep up the awesome videos.
@@mixedberries4937 Thank you my friend!
You guys call each other every day??? Joe never calls me…
We have one another’s favorite song as our wake up alarm tone. LOL
@Catcha Predator Actually, he pays me quite a bit. LOL
