- In our inaugural episode of Kings of Kebab, we visit Mangal 2 in East London. The Dalston kebab shop is as famous for its outspoken Twitter account and celebrity customers (Gilbert and George are regulars) as its authentic Turkish-style, flame-grilled meats.

As a Turkish viewer I felt so proud to see this lovely family serving their culture and taste. Thanks for the video.
YALIM AKIN man love turkish food.
AS BAYRAKLARI ASSSS
@@ezgiozcelikarchitecture5626 aynen yaa, çok iyi
loved him opening up about the first generation immigrant experience. I completely relate to feeling ashamed of my heritage growing up. great that we both found strength in it as adults.
Putinisgood what are you? a disgusting, pale skinned moron?
Putinisgood well good luck with that! you're boring my brain off, now make like a tree and fuck off, peasant
The welsh are British you moron lol
Yea, I was quite surprised to hear him say that actually. As an English man that knows that area quite well I have always viewed the Turkish community there as very strong and proud.
partykrew666 I
"We attended Farhad and his brother's circumcision party". God bless Gilbert and George!
One of the most heart warming Munchies video I have seen in a while, it's very nice to see such a hard working and a genuinely kind hearted family working together. Bravo!
Titas Krisciunas are you Greek? 1
I felt this video. They seem real and down to earth. Wish them the best for their family and business!
One of the best, if not the best Mixed grill i've ever had.
Great place
6:27 "...you're kind of made to feel ashamed of who you are; you're ashamed that your name is Fahar rather than Jack..."
I understand how you feel so well!
Tian G , and I don't... No matter where you are and who you are you have to be proud of your name, your nation, your blood and your ancestors.
How humble of him to say, "The King is my son!" :)
As a Turk, i am so proud to see that thing on Munchies :) thank you Munchies :)
those are some good looking turkish dudes
Kyle Mixon and the women
Truth. They look great. A+ genes.
Back X Stab 😂😂
Your inner hommo came out there better keep it in check
Richie Rich Did you just assume its gender? What if he's a she?
his father reminds me of a Turkish Gordon Ramsay
nineteenninetynine Can't say much about the origins of his name but he's speaking Turkish while he's passing the orders to the kitchen
Nihan Y I didn't mean the guy in the video lol
ibne
He looks like the Persian tennis player lol
Lovely video. I love seeing family establishments like these with good people running it (along with awesome food)
Cool Turkish dudes. Hail from Turkey
Big props to you man and your family. Times are hard at the moment and watching this gives you that energy to be together as one
Not only it tastes so good, but it's made in the hands of good people. Tüm zaman, her yerde, Türk kardeşlerime esenlikler olsun! 👍👍
My FAmily has a business and watching you delegate makes it look easy to run your restaurant. I definitely don't think this is my choice of field but I'm learning just by these videos.
Love this, feels so genuine
i am from Turkey i follow munchies channel i got shock when i saw a turkish restaurant 😵
You can tell that his dad loves what he does and that he's happy that he can share his passion with his son. Noice!
not the first with this thought but, they need to be on chef's night out
I live in Holland and i love Turkish food.
Next time i'm in England, i'll definitely go to Mangal2!
Oh my that food looks so delish
What a great story! God bless you. Wow Gilbert and George have been enjoying your food for over 30 years.
Thank goodness I am watching this on a dull stomach 😁
same lol
Respect to this family and business!
Well now I want to go to London. Awesome video, awesome story
Kudos! really nice piece - well done.
Looks amazing, wish I could try some, but I live in Murica so I'm pretty sure I'm not welcome in Europe and we don't have beautiful family owned anything anymore.
sputnikalgrim You're definitely welcome in the UK. Brits that don't like Americans are just jealous tbh
sputnikalgrim come to Chicago, we have tons of small, family owned shops that make authentic anything you can think of.
sputnikalgrim Americans are cool u r welcome
Dont worry we just hate your politicians, not the people
the world hates american government and their terror funding and extortion around the world. but sure if youre a cool american. come anytime
happy to see London 's kebap business on Munchies.

one of my fave places in London never disappoints
Great clip. Love the passion. Definitely gonna visit next time I'm in the area. Anyone who lives south of the river, FM Mangal in Camberwell is an excellent Turkish.
What a great video! Keep it up Munchies!😍
Lovely video. Here's wishing more success to Mangal. Keep rocking.
That place looks bloody magnificent.
It breaks my heart that as a young child he felt ashamed to be Turkish. Kids can really be quite cruel but sometimes adults can be even worse. Let's embrace every culture and learn from each other.
Turkish peeps REPRESENT
Loved this btw Munchies! Will we see more of this?
We out here

great video and spirit, love this
Sat here eating a chicken kebab from our local...lovely! 😊
Such a great show and such great people. Thank you
Yummy video, wish Central Florida had a restaurant like that. Thxs 4 sharing!
Beautiful episode...
its nice to see that a Turkish person has this much success as an immigrant. But its just saddening to hear that being ashamed of being Turkish was an important point for this individual to talk about in a global platform. I am Turkish, I live in the US and I am proud to be a Turkish. Its just saddening how people can make people feel ashamed of their roots. Proud of Mangal II, keep up the good work.
What a great, hardworking dad!
Watching kind of these videos makes me proud of my Turkish side❤ I love Turkish people and Turkish food is the best👍 The perfect-quality meat, the perfect seasoning, the perfect way of cooking (not deepfried or sth it tastes like meat!), not some stupid sauce on it(the sauce is the meat's delicious juice), not over-cooked/not raw(juicy af) the perfect side dishes( a refreshing salad and lots of turkish stuff called "meze") and a good drink (turkish people usually drink traditional "ayran", for alcohol they drink "rakı") nothing better.
siemenssx1 wtf
what a lovely video, makes me feel so warm inside
thats a beautiful family
Great video about a great restaurant! Love eating there

More of this please muchies
This place rules! The food is amazing! The twitter account is truth!
Wow, proper döner in the UK? Kudos, Dirik family!
This is a beautiful thing
Is it just me, or does his accent shift based on who he's next to? Not that that's a bad thing, just interesting.
I think it's pretty common. My accent shifts based on whom I'm with, as does that of many of my friends.
I do that all the time , the fact that I speak 3 Languages does not help . My tongue gets tangled sometimes. It’s the beauty of being multilingual
bir portion of everything please!
