No, if you don't like mamamoo it's okay. Everyone has a unique tast in music.
Byul's vocals are so underappreciated. She carries the lower harmony throughout this whole thing perfectly while the other girls are going off. So she basically carries the melody so the girls can hit their notes and show off their vocals. That's how a group works.

Came back to this from season 2 and I got to say, season 1 is really in its own league
True right, even though i don't really know the other group beside mamamoo, aoa and park bom when i first watch it. But overall they all (all group) dominating every stages. Not that i hate queendom 2, but i don't really see any of them succeed in dominating the stages just like queendom 1 do (except for hyolyn perfomance of course XD).
Queendom 2's audience are so dry. I think Hyolyn and VIVIZ are the only contenders in QD2 that are bringing life to the show. No offense meant but QD2 really is so boring. QD1 has much better groups than QD2.

But Wheein tho, man, she's just naturally gifted. For Moonbyul, well its a step up now that's shes singing. For Hwasa I kind of agree she's the same in terms of vocals. But that girl's presence on stage just gets better and better.

All the members improved their singing style specially Hwasa, you can see from their rookie videos in Immortal Songs that she always like to give full power from singing high notes, giving a whistle or a head voice also having that growling style.. some people say that using that growling style can be difficult and painful.. But over the years you can see her calm down and just relax, not straining her vocal chords that much.

I'm so glad this is their song choice. I'm so happy Wheein is finally recognized for her heavily, soothing yet powerful and extremely well-controlled voice. I know Hwasa and Solar usually get the hype for their strong and unique vocals, but truthfully, Wheein always was my favorite vocalist. I could listen to her voice and not get tired for years.

Tbh Wheein has probably the most versatile voice of the three. I swoon over Hwasa's voice all the time because it's so unique, and I wish I could have the power and resonance of Solar's voice, but Wheein can do so much with her voice, and it's amazing how low or high, nasal, head or falsetto it can sound so different. The three of them are amazing vocalists!

Wheein has one of the most amazing vocals I've ever heard.
People are used to Solar's power but forget about how amazing her techniques are to control that power for delivery. The way that she injected emotion into her vocal and projected to audiences is really incredible and we can see why audiences all got hyped up by that powerful belting in E5. It is not about how high the note was but that strong feeling delivered by her vocal. She also changes her vowels during those beltings to produce beautiful sounds in different ways. Her lower notes are also easily overlooked by her shining powerful high notes. She did that early to setup up an emotional bass before they changed keys. The heavyness that she brought to the performance for me was just a stylistic choice and she has the techniques to do it completely differently. Most importantly, that power took the emotion of the song into a different level that could strike our hearts deeply and make us in tears without knowing what lyrics are. She is really talented to resonate almost every chambers to produce that strong voice and we feel it in our years, head, and chest. I always feel that the resonance was directly from her mouth but the heavyness moves my heart. I think this is why I feel so connected with her voice.
BTW, all of the members in Mamamoo are so talented and they literally brought distinct beauties into this performance. It is so great to see them all shine in their own ways. Each of them is a strong sololist, but when they work together they amplify their power like magic and make any of their peformance become epic!!!!

When Solar asked Wheein if she’s ok with the song choice, I didn’t get why. But after watching this, I totally understand. It heavily relies on Wheein’s vocals. And she delivered gloriously. 4 vocal beasts in 1 group. Why are they in a battle of comebacks again???
And what's more amazing is she's not in the rehearsal session but still deliver it superbly. Is this recorded when she's still recovering? Because we still don't see her much in the clips

이 앨범 타이틀곡보다 이 노래를 더 좋아한 사람 여기여,,, 문별이 랩 개사한 것도 너무 좋고 휘인 음색 좋은건 알고 있었지만 거의 보컬만 들리다시피 하니까 더 쩌는듯 다들 우리 애들 보컬 음색 성량 오지는거 보고 가세여 애매모호부터 차근차근 잘 올라왔다ㅠㅜㅠ뿌듯해ㅠㅜㅜㅜㅠㅠ

Solars voice tho in here? This is the best she’s ever sounded. Her belting in here is resonating. And that vibrato at the end before Wheein’s adlib/runs? Amazing! And don’t even get me started on how angelic Wheein sounded. Then Hwasa with her sultry, isolated vocals. Also, Moonbyul’s can never go wrong. She even re-wrote her verse for the fans and it still fkin slaps. Ughhhh.....AMAZING! I really chose the right group to stan
Not sure if this is Solar's best as her belting is usually very resonating. Anyway, this is one of my favorite versions for sure but I also like their delivery in Killing Voices.
@@linkazoo nah, usually she pushes and struggles to hit the high notes, but in here she’s very relaxed and hitting them effortlessly :)
@@allsies7890 She really sounds amazing here but I always find her voice beautiful. So, maybe it is because we have different ears:) BTW, she is usually in charge "difficult" high notes, not the light ones that could pull off with falsetto lightly but the real ones with heavy mixed voice. Those pushes and struggles really bring distinct flavors to their music and I am happy that she is still in good hands even after 7 years since debut and we see her improve steadily. She really works hard but her talents are also undeniable for being able to manage these difficult things. I am glad to see even Chase and Melia praised her impressive control in their reaction to Mamamoo's Killing Voice Medley. Hope she can continue to manage her vocal well and bring us more amazing performances.

@@medardoviidelapoz4517 You actually raised a good point:) These "easy", "difficult", "relax", and "push" are all our prejudices because we are not the performers. Not to say people have their own preference of voices, and they would certainly use different adjectives to describe their feeling. They all have distinct styles, strenghs, and voices in their singing, and that is the beauty of their stages because they can brings different flavors to the table. I find this king of argument meaningless becuase it is music that we are talking about. The point is how we feel connected when we hear their voices, which differs from one to another.
