How do you do that?
@@marbacc Go to your local parish office and request masses, or speak with a priest. A small fee is normally expected per mass for church upkeep (amount differs per parish). You can also go online and find a local shrine or church that offers Gregorian masses for the deceased (30 masses). You can normally request and pay for Gregorian masses entirely online.

I have enrolled him in the Rorate Caeli Purgatorial Society, so every weekend he's being prayed for in the masses this organization celebrates.... I didn't know him personally, just through youtube videos, he was an amazing priest, and still watching those videos! May his soul be resting in peace now! 🙏❤

When do we start???
All Souls’ Day (11/2) & Election Day (11/5) are a few days apart. Start about Sept 9 for the 54 days rosary novena, or (10/23) 9 days novena or something else. (My dates may be off.)

Well since I’m still alive. I wouldn’t be able to answer that question. From my limited understanding of Purgatory, it is like a giant furnace similar to the fires of hell. So I don’t think that nuns or anyone else would be poking you with sticks unless it’s the devil and his demons. You would be constantly in burning torment. I think that’s the only thing that you would feel. That’s just my guess.
i have been praying the chaplet of st gertrude for several months now. I have noticed that i have made significant progress in breaking a couple process (behavioral) addictions over the last couple months. One i have stayed away from for 132 days and another for 37 days. i am grateful for the graces i have recieved to finally have the self control necessary to say no to the addictions.

One Rosary a day with heart-felt sincerity is more effective than 4 rushed verbal service.
Praying for the souls of Purgatory is one of the greatest acts of charity one can do: it is an act gathering treasures in Heaven.

I had an amazing experience once after completing the requirements to gain a plenary indulgence for a poor soul in purgatory. I was new to doing this so I wondered to myself “Does this really work?” At the very moment, in my mind’s eye I saw the face of a woman bathed in a golden light. Her gaze was transfixed on God. I could tell it took great effort to turn her gaze away from God to me. She turned to me beaming with joy and said “Thank you. I will never forget what you have done for me.” Then she shot upward to heaven like a comet. Needless to say, I continue to pray for the holy souls in purgatory daily 😀

Also, catechumens should be instructed on this teaching without delay. When they are baptized at the next Easter Vigil, they will be in the unique position of being able to obtain a plenary indulgence or two while in a state of baptismal innocence. With their own souls purified by baptism, the indulgences for Confirmation and First Holy Communion are freely available for the souls in Purgatory. Blessed are the parishes whose Easter Vigil extends past midnight, so that the neophytes make their First Communion on a different day than Confirmation, and thus are able to obtain plenary indulgences for both.
My 90 year old aunt shared with us a prayer from Pope Pius that is to be said in front of a crucifix every Friday in order to free 5 souls from purgatory (and 33 on Good Friday.) Shortly after, she had a dream in which she visited a beautiful villa full of luxurious apartments. As she was leaving, a woman she had never met in her life called out to her from the top floor. As she called out to my aunt, she used her full baptismal name, which almost no one knows. "Luisa Maria", she called out, holding out a beautiful cake, "thank you! I received your gift!" My aunt surmised this must have been one of the souls in purgatory who had benefited from the Friday prayers.
People need to pray “ The Saint Gertrude Prayer “ daily. People need to emphasize the souls who are forgotten about. Who are not being prayed for. These Holy forgotten souls need our help.
I think there's an important point in this project: the purity of intention, which is what the Lord is looking at. An act of charity made for our own sake I think is not pleasing to God. If someone's situation remains unchanged, he will probably stop praying for souls in purgatory. The most important when we pray for them is the sole desire to free them from this prison. The rest is an option, a gift that the Lord gives according to His Holy Will.
I agree. Yes we are blessed when we bless others, but blessed are those who give without any expectation of reward, who pray from the heart out of love and compassion 🙏

I agree! Intention is key. It’s not like the false prosperity gospel. It’s wonderful he has been so blessed financially and his motivations were not for himself. Thus his generous blessings but unfortunately this message may get lost in the excitement of how it’s being presented.
I agree, we should pray for the souls in purgatory only because we know how pleasing it is to God who loves them beyond comprehension. We should also meditate on the great privilege it is to be able to accept a sliver of Christ's cross when we fast or pray or offer the merits of the day for the souls in purgatory.
I was inspired to pray for the Holy Souls. Whenever my mind is idle, I now automatically start saying the Prayer of St. Gertrude for the Holy Souls.
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family. Amen.

When we pray for a soul in Purgatory, they get to see us praying for them. It must be a fantastic experience for them. Sadly, many have been lied to about the existence of Purgatory and that we should not pray for our dead. Really sad. Pray for these deceived, also.
Aside from my daily Rosary, I offer intentions for souls of our dearly departed during my 3pm (Divine Mercy) prayer.

When I pass a cemetery, I pray for the souls in purgatory.
My mom always reminded me, "Offer it up."
I've been doing the St. Gertrude prayer for the last six years and I set a goal for every 10 days to help 1 million souls to be released from Purgatory. Next month I will have reached 200,000,000 million souls to find freedom from Purgatory. I only wished I would have known about St. Gertrude's prayer sooner. I also documented every million that I reached to prove to anyone who might question my claim. Once I reach my goal then 3 hundred million will be my next goal. Blessings to all of you who are helping the poor souls in Purgatory.
What a beautiful gesture that is, and undoubtedly helping poor souls. Important to know though, Wayne, that the church has been very clear since Paul VI’s IndulgentiarumDoctrinthat prayers such as these cannot be said to guarantee a specific outcome. The St Gertrude prayer, while endorsed by the church, cannot guarantee 1000 or 10,000 souls freed from purgatory. To say so is second guessing or even testing God - any soul released is entirely by His grace and mercy alone. Our prayers matter so much, but they are His to use as He sees fit. Paul VI felt that indulgences were very serious matters and they were considered less seriously by the faithful if they were to be easily obtained.
The total number of souls who have died is 109 billion...let all all get to that number!
I was told that those Holy Souls are not released by just saying the St. Gertrude prayers. You have to have masses said. I think she told me you have to go to church and in a group setting say the Rosary. I’m very confused.

When I reached about 50 million souls I asked the Lord if this prayer really was true, if so, could He give me or my wife some sign that it really is working. Around Lent of 2021 my wife started receiving signs. I can't tell you all that she has seen since because people reading this will think were both crazy. But trust me, the prayer does and is working for all who pray this prayer. Just how God uses it is completely in His hands.

Thank you for these videos. I never knew as a Protestant anything about the souls in purgatory, and I converted back 2000 to the Catholic Church. My grandmother taught me to have that sweet devotion. Every pain, cold shower even pick up the trash. Whatever is a mortification for me I do it for them.
I was told we should pray for the souls of priests abandoned and forgotten by saying "Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Precious Blood of they Divine Son Jesus, for the priests in Purgatory that are most abandoned and forgotten." Has anyone else heard this?

My son graduated from USMA 13 years ago. I have had Masses for the Suffering Souls in Purgatory every week for 13 years. My son has never been to war.

I was brought up non denominational. We were taught the one scripture about how it is appointed unto man once to die then the judgment.
I recently lost a close friend and it gives me peace to pray that he has made it to heaven and God. It's not how I was raised or brought up, but for whatever reason I feel peace praying that he makes it to Jesus and Heaven. He was an extremely loving and kind person. I just don't know where he was with God before he died.😢🛐✝️

Yes, I know exactly what you're saying, I've experienced their kindness. We love the Holy Souls, pray for them the St Gertude's chaplet, I try to say 2xs a week. God bless you all, let's take care of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Just recently I have asked Jesus for one day in purgatory, so I may feel the pains they go thru. Jesus, Mary and Joseph help us help them.

Praying your Rosery everyday is so incompatible with Mortal Sin, that you cant do both.
You will either stop praying the Rosery or give up the habitual Mortal Sin.

I suffer from bad sciatica. When I am in pain, I offer it up for the salvation of souls, forgiveness of sins and the souls in purgatory.
Try an ionic foot bath. It pulls out toxins. When I did that all pain was gone.

Story about a man who is leaving the church reciting his daily rosary for the souls in purgatory. Little did he know down the street as he walked there were some thieves waiting for him. Yet he walked home safely without a problem, his wife asked him who the group of people was walking with him. He didn't know what she was talking about, he said he was walking alone.
How was the wife able to see this if he wasn't with her?

Priests who teach and coach people in the faith, they get rewarded for them learning and being able to do the Faith.
This strikes me as very transactional in thinking. We should pray for our brothers and sisters in Purgatory for love of God and of them, not for what we get out of it.
Yes. I never thought of what I would receive for praying it. My first thought was to help those in Purgatory who couldn’t help themselves. Now if it was of benefit, then great. But I didn’t think that I will pray this prayer because when it’s my time to pass on, I will need their help. No. I’m saying this prayer just for their benefit in Purgatory. Not for mine. 😊
As long as i remember, there was a young girl came to me 2 or 3 times straight. I asked my Mom that there’s a girl (soul) looks caucasian looking at me right when I was about to wake up. Then my mom said, “ask her what she wants…” and i did but first i prayed…then when i sleep, i had a dream and this girl ( with her smily sweet face) was there with those poor souls and she was in the center and only the Souls that looks bright and happy but the rest looks so messy and sad and then they all said “please pray for us…” i found out last year and i believe that the girl was Saint Therese of Lisieux

Offering for the Holy Souls does have a spiritual effect. I usually have a good idea when a mass I requested for a Holy Soul is being offered as out of the blue a day will be uniquely challenging. This is so encouraging because I equate it to perhaps someone is a bit ticked off that a Soul is either entering Heaven to delight The Lord or getting a whole lot closer. It doesn't even bother me anymore when I have future masses offered that I might have a bad day coming on the horizon, I look at it as a little wink allowed by Heaven and a little extra penance (if I dont blow that opportunity) . ...also an extra idea ..offer the St Gertrude prayer at the consecration of The Precious Blood at the masses you attend. This has to be a very powerful time to offer for The Holy Souls.
I love praying for the holy souls in Purgatory, especially those who have no one to pray for them. I pray for the holy souls daily.

I am struggling with chronic pain, mobility issues, a blood clot in my left leg and associated medical conditions with my T-7 incomplete spinal cord injury.
I have not fallen because I believe the holy souls are helping me.

I include the Holy Souls in my intentions for every Mass, I add St Gertrude's Prayer to every decade of the Rosary and I add the Holy Souls and the dying to every decade of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Let no soul go unprayed for.

Spiritual dividends....I love it!! A few weeks ago I actually added the St. Gertrude prayer for the Holy souls in purgatory into my Rosary. So I basically recite it every decade. Saying the whole Chaplet in addition to the Rosary & the St. Michael Chaplet just got to be a bit much so I added into the Rosary. I hope that's ok....🙏

Our lady apparently asked in Medjugorie to say the creed followed by Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be × 7 after attending Holy Mass for the souls in purgatory, the sell beads in the shops there with the specific beads to support this offering.
You don't need to buy beads. Just count on your fingers. It's the prayers that count, not the beads.
This was a tradition in Medjugorje before our lady first appeared there. She wanted to keep it alive. I have a book where a priest interviews the seer Vicka, that has some interesting details on the apparitions from where I know this.

Go to neighboring parish or ask for holy Mass in different priestly congregations websites
Try going to a different Catholic parish/diocese or try online. I go to my local parish and go online (helps Missionary priests).

I go to this beautiful Catholic church at night 🌙 sometimes. Im the only person there, as its closed, but it has a large high to floor metal grille door's where you can sit on a provided stool & pray looking into the church body. The last 2 times I've gone, last week & 3 months ago at around 2am I hear a loud childs game tune play for about 30 seconds, then 30 minutes later for 10 seconds. This last time, it was only once, not twice. It comes from near the right side front of the church where our Ladys side alter is. ❤ I cant assume it is a child now, as last week I went 3 xs & Walking past the down stairs Cremation Memorial at about 9pm I saw for A second, a fair skin womens face with brown hair past shoulders about age 42, attractive to earthly face but no more, she was full of deep gravity sorrows in her face, I saw around her eyes her skin is very darkened in colour. As I saw her, she spoke to my soul " pray for her child"!
So I have & will.
I hope so…I do a lot for the souls of purgatory and still don’t see it and I can’t make ends meet….and I need it badly…and I ask others to pray for them also…what can I say..🤷🏻♀️hope is real.

Wonderful Alvaro 🙏 As well as all of the critical suggestions you make, can I ask your followers to purchase any rosaries, icons, crucifixes or holy medals they find being sold in thrift stores, if they can afford a little. They can pass these to other Catholics but pray for the former owners. There are some beautiful initiatives for Catholic prison inmates too, wherein sacramentals and holy literature are sent to them. These may be blessed objects, and their owners may be in Purgatory and totally forgotten. The sacramentals they loved in life have been given away thoughtlessly.
