After MAGDALENE, easily her most raw and visceral, stripped down album, it’s so cool to see her return with a fun, upbeat little mixtape. Not one of my favs from her probably but I’ll still be streaming all year!
@Ramon Gomes LP1 is amazing & I love it but MAGDALENE has a much stronger and more powerful concept and message, whereas LP1 just feels like a collection of songs. Take out holy terrain and MAGDALENE is perfect!

while this project def wasn't my favorite from her at first listen, i think it just has such an energy of healing and optimism around it that felt like it was necessary from her as an artist to progress. in that regard i think it stands out from the rest of her work
