Thank you for this video! I played this today for the first time and got a score of 304. I focused on digging very early on and built my throne on turn 13. That allowed me to get 200 points. I was stuck on my rolls for mining gold at the end - without it I couldn't build extra vaults. What a great little solo game and appreciate your videos explaining how it works! To be honest I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning but your playthrough made it very easy to understand.
An interesting game with some strategy too it. I'm unsure if its always best to go for the throne room on depth 5 or depth 4 say? Like in this play-through, if you'd built the throne-room at depth 4 just two turns earlier, you'd have netted 15 more points. (20x 7=140 vs 25 x5=125). Though you did miss that you had 2 shovels (So +1 extra digs) twice before you realized it, so I'm not sure how that above example actually works out since had you noticed the error, you might have been able to build the throne-room quicker? Either-or, a fun game and one well worth paying for and playing through a few times. Its hard to wrap my head around the gold not itself being worth points (I actually kinda like the concept that any gold you have left over is also worth points at the end of the game at least) but elsewise, great game! Thanks for showing it off.
Yeah, timing is important when it comes to maximizing the points. I think I made an error at level 4, I was planning to build the throne there, but I left myself without room to build it, so I had to rush to level 5.
guess im scoring differently then everyone else lol theoritcally you can build a vault on turn 8 but you'll cross off a crown at the end of that turn so 13 turns of crowns x 5 for depth= 65 points. edit: not vault throne room. still dont know how to get to 352 with the rest being vaults and 2's lol

Yes!! Love this game! My video ended up being like an hour plus so I never posted it! Glad you did HNY!
Damn, so I lived all this time without this game because your video was too long? I'll never forget this 😁
Happy new year. Thanks for keeping up the R&W and PnP videos.
Thank you, same to you :)
Thank you for great video and pointing to great game!
Awesome way to stat the year
Thanks so much for the play through!
Thanks for the playthrough. I would definitely have been playing this game all wrong.
You got it 😁

Crazy luck with those miners. Did they ever miss?
352 points i make, the trick is build asap the trone, and u forgot u can expend 5 gold to a rolled dice to select the faces u want
Yup, it's too expensive in the beginning, so I never use it until the end, and then I forget about it
