Made it exactly this way. I even bought the same mould. Never buying chocolates again.... I can easily make it in an hour! How yummy these turned out!!! Thanks!!! Plus your voice is amazing Papa G!!! 😍
I love how you went straight with the tutorial and direct to the point. I also love that even those little steps you do, you put reason for it 😊 great video! New subbie here!!
Just tried this and it was great! Didn’t have a mould so I sprayed a paper plate with canola oil and once the chocolate hardened I took it out and cut it into little chunks. Worked out awesome! I didn’t realize it could be this easy and delicious!!!
Man I was just talking about how hi the carbs are in even the keto approved chocolate. This recipe is going to change the game for me . Thanks papa-G you rock....!!
This is awesome. I fell off the wagon one week ago and trying to get back into my keto diet. Your chocolate recipe will come in handy. Thanks for all the wonderful content.
I know this is a recipe from 5 years ago, but I finally got around to making it! Thank you for sharing it with us. I have been making my own mayo, now I can make my own chocolate chips. Such a blessing to not have to worry about prices at the market for Lily's or if they are out!
These are usable and taste great in recipes that don’t require baking. I made these today and put them in a chocolate chip cookie recipe and they melted into puddles through the cookie.
Looks divine. Lily's is quite pricey and more carbs. This is a nice alternative. I look forward to making these and using them in my keto baking! I love how easy and inexpensive these are and you can make them anytime the mood strikes instead of looking all over the place for those expensive chips! Thank you PG!
I make 1 cup of coconut oil, cocoa powder, sugar vanilla & mix with options unsweetened coconut shreds, or nuts or both, hemp hearts are good too. OR in my silicone muffin trays put a level 1 layer of frozen blue berries & put a few T of slighly cooled choc. Mixture on top, it freezes instantly, store in freezer in my large almond flour bags
I made these exactly as the recipe says. I used about a teaspoon of liquid stevia which turned out just fine. Maybe just a little more next time. They have to be kept frozen or refrigerated otherwise they get too soft and messy. Maybe next time I would try adding some nuts or sprinkle with a little sea salt. I might try experimenting with this and try using a mixer to add a little air to it.
Hi John. I sometimes get comments about something being too sweet or a little too bitter. The beautiful thing about this is that you can taste it before you harden it and adjust accordingly. I like your nuts and salt ideas! Other pure fat solids would work fine as well, such as lard and ghee. Think about what bacon fat would taste like.... Thanks for you input John!
Try cocoa butter as your fat.heat very gently and use powdered sweetener and flavors.if you use any ingredient with water chocolate will SEIZE UP.His liquid sweetener might be glycerine based. Please watch more videos or use his exact ingredients.Be especially careful with adams brand flavorings or ruined batches and wasted money will occur
AWESOME!!! I haven't seen a mold like that one, to your Amazon link I go ... This was a SUPER recipe, and SO SIMPLE!!!! You are AMAZING, Yes you ARE!!!! Keep looking UP!!!
Thanks for this recipe Papa G. Hard to get sugar free chocolate chips in Australia. Will be getting one of those cute moulds. I just love all the ideas I am getting from You tube.
This is great! I didn't have liquid sweetner, so I used powdered, and it worked like a charm. This will definitely be the base for many different kinds of easy chocolate candies I want to make. Thank you so much!
Thank you SO much!!!! It's really brilliant. I do not like to do work in the kitchen so I need simplicity. I am trying to do keto but I have a real love for chocolate. I eat 85% dark chocolate but it still has some sugar and, over time, it felt like I needed an alternative. I like Lily's but it's expensive and I kept thinking that I need to just find an idea for a good mix of fat, cacao and sweet. That's all I want! Coconut oil has really helped me heal so you just gave me the perfect mix. I made them right away! I shared with my husband and my kids, they liked them too! Oh yeah, I was extra cute and made them into hearts (heart mold). ❤
Thanks PaPa G just pulled my first batch out of the freezer, better then I hoped for. next batch I will add some more liquid sweetener, I need to sweeten them up a little,. but these will do the trick.....rich.
So I have the new sweetener on the block allulose...and used butter ...had some sea shell choc molds and shattered some almonds in a baggie put them and the choc mixture in...Omg...omg ...I have found keto chocolate heaven thank you daddy G
I don’t care for sugar free or any type of artificial sugars. I never like the taste of any of these, even in any foods… I had avoided anything that have these types of sweeteners. Can I use 10x aka confectionery sugar instead?
Ohhhh thank you soooo much .. I was desperately looking for a simple, cheep yet delicious chocolate recipe .. sugar free dark chocolate here in Egypt costs you a fourtion .. coz they are imported from Spain .. so thanks a million ... I will give it a try just right now ..
Hi Papa G, I am going to make this today. However, I was thinking this would be great poured on top of your coconut candy! Yum! I am going to try that too! Thank you so much for your work. My diabetes is under control because of recipes like these! Have a great weekend!
Michele Taylor this would work for ice cream.if you want firmer chips try cocoa butter as your fat and learn a little about tempering.its not terribly hard to get the hang of
Ha. Well! I did this for a treat a few years ago and added dessicated coconut. Really enjoyed it. But I just spread it all out on a baking sheet on a plate, stuck it in the fridge and, once set, cut it into big cubes. I . . erm . . did honestly try to make it last!
I have some coco butter chips, I’m going to give those a try in place of the coconut oil. Might be a little more shelf stable (I’d still refrigerate it).
Thank you for a recipe that I can use in Australia 🇦🇺 If I see one more person give a recipe to make chocolate using unsweetened chocolate nibs, which don’t exist here, I’ll scream. Thanks very much 💕🇦🇺
I don't understand actually how accurate this carbs percentage because If hershey cocoa powder half cup mean its over 90g no. Normally 90g of unsweetend cocoa powder have 38g of net carbs .then 15g of serving size of chocolate has 5.5 carbs no. Correct if i wrong.....
I use food grade Cocoa Butter instead of coconut oil mine dont need refrigeration it sets much harder and I use swerve (blended to powder). I eat just a bit to kill a craving and use in all my recipes
@@ahmadsameen24 yes! its simple... 1/2 cup of cocoa butter (chopped up) 1/2 cup of Hersheys Powdered Cocoa (or any brand you use) 1/4 cup swerve sugar (I blend mine to powdered sugar). 1/2 tsp vanilla in a double boiler melt the chopped cocoa butter (it melts slowly) once melted add cocoa, sugar & vanilla stir and pour into molds if you want a more milk type chocolate add 2 TBS heavy cream after all the ingredients are mixed. these set up nicely and dont melt at room temps.
Amazing and easy recipe. But as healthy as it is I do not like the smell and taste of coconut oil. So wanted to ask if the coconut oil flavor remains in the chocolate once it melts after hardening or while eating. Plz lemme know. Thanks in advance
Wonderful Papa G. Need a small chocolate mold for making chips. Guess though could just pour it thinly onto parchment paper,,freeze some then break apart in pieces?? Do you think that would work??

And a lot of the commercial sugar free candy uses malitol, which actually can spike your blood sugar like regular sugar.

@@PapaGCooking can you also add some milk to the recipe for a milker chocolate? I'm hoping the milk won't negatively impact the coconut oil.

Can I use regular granular monk fruit sweetner and just melt it with the melted coconut oil?
I hear the powdered version works better. You can grind up the granulated version in your blender or food processor if you want.
