I'm sorry for the rough start, Peter, but it gives everyone a chance to learn and keeps the videos fresh and exciting! Any day getting to watch you play in the snow is a good day for us. Thanks for the laughs!
Awesome Aaron just awesome thank you. Be safe.
I can't wait to see how it performs in wet snow. Thanks for not editing out the death of your garden hose. It actually shows how sturdy your blower is. No damage to blower = awesome. You are a rockstar!!!
Thank you Julie I think it performs well...many viewers think it does not but that's ok. Be safe and please stay tuned.
Getting lots of snow here in Utah and I'm using the silicone spray on my snowblower. It works great. Thanks for keeping it real.
Yes sir I agree. Utah is so pretty your are lucky to live there...I'm sure you know that. Be safe.
I've been waiting for your snowblower video. Stay warm and safe.
I've been waiting as well
I know I thought i was so prepared for you guys...ugh I should know to always over prepare. Thank you be safe.
Thank you Sir...:)
We’ve all been there! Nothing more frustrating than a clogged Shute!
Thank you Brian be safe I appreciate your kindness
Glad you are safe. Been looking forward to your snow blower videos!
Thank you...wouldn't be nice if we could control the weather :) be safe
Great video! We all have a bad day from time to time. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Bills game and all the snow in the stadium. Looks like the fans had a blast! Take care and be safe! 🙏👍❤️🇺🇸
Thank you what a game...we'll see Sunday how the Bills do against the Chiefs and Swift. Be safe
Like the videos and your setup. You own lots of toys. I have a Takeuchi tl6r I bought this past summer. Interested in a snow blower for it but I need to shop for correct flow and correct psi. Thanks for fun video. For me there is something satisfying watching snow blown or people using 13 ft snow pusher buckets on skid steers.
You have a reliable machine...I appreciate your comment be safe.
CONGRATZ TO THE BILLS!!! THIS LAST QUARTER HAS BEEN BEAUTIFUL!!! 👏😁👍🙏✌️🇱🇷
Boy you're not kidding hopefully they can keep the streak going. Go Bills be safe.
I love watching the snow plowing videos. Keep them coming and by the way you look great 😁👍. Wishing you and your family the very best..
Thank you Michael you also and thank you for commenting. Be safe
you have a beast of a machine, i would keep the shoot pointing down with the blowing and just go over spots twice🤙
That was the first clog when I pointed the shoot down...ugh I will try it again when I spray the chute. Be safe and thank you.
great flippin ontent love this channel soo much
I don't know what to say...makes me so happy thank you for the great compliment. Be safe
Still love your channel!!! You look amazing!!
I can't thank you enough, I greatly appreciate the your positive comment. Stay safe.
HI! Pete, yes we're unfortunately a little far away from motorcycle conditions right now :) , We've had -37F last Friday and this morning was -30F, nothing that runs on diesel is worth trying to start. My HST on my tractor was whining horrible yesterday at -20F. We've got a good foot on the ground now in Montana and another one coming the next few days. Stay warm my friend. :)
OMG Ron that's amazing...we only get that low with wind chill...crap that's cold. Please be careful and safe. Wow that's cold.
When you go past your sons truck or another vehicle. There is the option to push snow as a snow pusher and turn off the hydraulics so the screw is off. 20 feet the length of the truck should be short enough distance to push snow without the blow screw to not cause too much windrow. This keeps the truck cleaner. Then when your blow chute gets to the end of the truck you can turn the screw hydraulic back on.
You know you are right I forget things like that I use to do it with my tractor...ugh thank you for reminding me I appreciate that. My setup and patterns were all wrong...I have to get organized. Be safe and thank you keep helping please.
Man you’ve lost a ton of weight- even more since last video. Congrats! ❤
Comments like yours really motivate me thank you...greatly appreciate the support. Be safe
Slim & trim, I'm so jealous lol, good for you! First thing I noticed watching your video.
You mentioned it being awhile & you forget how to run it. I was just curious, is that a high flow machine? Is it switchable? Were you not using high flow when the snow didn't seem to go very far?
Bryan I was using highflown but the shoot was getting clogged...ugh. You'll see in my upcoming videos she does fine when sprayed with silicone. Be safe and thank you for the encouraging words.
That sucks you got the garden hose tangled in the snowblower auger. It happens to the best of us, despite being as diligent as possible in our preparations for winter. Glad you can laugh about it. As you said, there is only 2 months left of winter.
I know...I hate when winter drags on and wet sloppy snow. Be safe thank you for commenting.
Did you ever consider a plow blade vs the blower? It seems you have plenty of space to store snow and it may server you better if you can avoid tearing up the lawn edges.
For my driveway I prefer a snowblower, I have a snow pusher for my JD 5090M and we have several plow trucks. I like that a snowblower can place the snow and there are no piles of snow. Also a snowblower works very well around vehicles. I thought of getting a push blade for the Bobcat...we'll see. Be safe and thank you for commenting.
With low coolant and high oil I'd be checking to make sure you don't have a coolant leak into your oil. A blown head gasket near a water jacket can leak water into the oil and you won't know it until the motor blows. It would be wise to check the oil by draining it or have a pressure test on the coolant system.
There's something wrong with the fan on your blower it's not turning fast enough to blow the snow. Either the belts are slipping because that blower fan should throw that snow a lot farther. Maybe the fan not blowing properly is why the chute is clogging up. If that fan is powered by hydraulics you've got a problem with hydraulic pressure which may be a pump issue. Regardless that blower fan is going way to slow
Your suggestions are excellent. If there was water in the oil it would turned milky white or off white in color...at least that's what I've experienced as I've had water in my oil before on another machine. The impeller is hydraulically driven and the machine is providing the proper amount of pressure. i think most of this issue is the blower is stored in a warm garage then hits the cold snow which sticks to the unit. I'm parking the machine outside now we'll see if the blower performance improves. Thank you for trying to help great comment.
Speaking from experience....blowers on a skidsteer or track loader are the biggest waste of money. Mine is a 10 plus year old set up ...and it's worthless in more than 5 or 6 inches of snow....Say nothing about heavy wet snow. Nice to know things haven't improved with newer ones 😆
Jake you should watch my blizzard videos from last year my blower does quite well especial if I'm not operating it....I hear you though a shaft drive like on my previous tractor was pretty nice but much noisier and harder to install and more work to maintain. Please if you have time watch my other videos when I remember to spray the shoot it does not clog. Be safe and thank you for commenting.
Don't be so rough on yourself about the silicone. We all forget sometimes, no getting away from it. Just put a note on the steering wheel of the Bobcat to spray. Done. You're getting a lot of snow there for sure. I'm in southwestern Nova Scotia and hardly got any snow here all winter. Really weird. Our winters are fairly mild anyway but this winter is nuts. The northeastern part of the province got hit really really hard. People trapped in their homes and can't even get out to dig out. Plows are coming in from everywhere to help. I remember one winter, I think it was 2003, in Newfoundland, a snow storm came out of no where, no warning and actually buried the snow plows.. You sure had a Murphy's Law that day. LOL
Thank you, I guess I am hard on myself. Nova Scotia gets some wicked weather no doubt. Thank you for commenting and please be safe when those storms hit.
Do you use a particular brand of spray silicone? We’ve all had days like you did. No one got hurt, nothing got broken except a hose that didn’t know when to go inside 😂. Stay warm, tomorrow’s another day!
I want to say it's called Blaster and home depot sells it. I spray it on the underside of my off road equipment and it works well...maybe $5 a can. Thank you and I'm trying to stay warm be safe.
You should look into the quick attach snowblowers to really move some snow
This is a quick attach snowblower...not sure what you mean.
Things happen don't sweat it! Be happy the hose didn't break a shear pin.
No it did not, kind of strange right...be safe thank you
Ive been waiting on your video as well❤❤
Oh boy the snow is here know. Thank you I can't tell you how much I appreciate comments like yours.
@@maraudermitchelli your welcome I seen on of your videos a few years ago you had so much snow it was almost tall as your house lol I enjoyed you plowin every bit of it im a tru fan of your videos
I spray my snowblower with PAM. Coat the chute and the fan really heavy. You cant beat a track skid steer with a quick attach snow blower.😊 39:09
So so easy to install. Thank you Mike be safe...many people use Pam what a product.
I know!!!!! You can redeem yourself by doing a nighttime video so we can see the lights working. 😂
Maybe I do one tonight good idea.
I still, for the the life of me, can't understand why you'd get rid of the tractor for the skid steer. Just doesn't make sense to me. 🤷
I understand...sometime I wonder also. The track loader is a more substantial machine and 10 times the loader of any tractor. It also generates income on my commercial properties...pretty outstanding as a loader. I will post one of the videos soon. You never know I may get another tractor. Be safe and thank you I appreciate your comment.
I was considering one of these machines with snowblower but it does not throw the snow very far at all, are you throttled up all the way?
Yes full throttle...the chute was clogged. Maybe consider watching some of my other videos they may help you decide be safe.
Love the snow blow videos. Been watching since the 3046R days. Do you miss the 3046R for blowing snow? She’s Chuching has become part of my vocabulary
She's chooching I forgot about that. Yes I miss the tractor...but the loader excels at many things...I miss the tractor though
Did you have your "high flow" hydraulics button on ? Or was your engine idle too low? It didn't seem like it was blowing the snow very far.
Yes to both, I think the chute was partially clogged as I worked my way up the driveway...maybe I should get a plow.
Now hurry up, I've literally been waiting a year for this. 🤷♀️✌️👋😹
LOL I know I know
When strong wind is a factor like this time , go to the end from where the wind is coming from and don't blow the snow into the wind. On your driveway you should have started just as you came out of the garage went for the right side and turned the chute to blow to your left . Turn around on the street go back towards the house with the chute blowing right. I would have in starting at your house did your shovelling then come out of the garage and have the chute left facing and turn around come back chute facing right and them do the driveway. Work with the wind not against it!
I know I know believe me I know I'm not sure what is was thinking you are exactly right thank you.
your welcome ,I did commercial snow removal for many years B.C. Canada
With that you could make some money doing everyone's driveway lol
That’s if I was smart…thank you for commenting be safe and in peace 🙂
Hey I think there’s something not quite right with that blower. Does not seem to blow it nearly far enough Is that a high flow machine? Are the rpm s adequate
Tim it is high flow and exceeds the specified gpm...we're getting more snow lets see how it does tomorrow. Be safe
My machine (low flow) throws snow 2-3 times farther than what you’re showing. So is the blower matched to the machine?
I'm not sure what you mean by matched please elaborate. This blower is recommended by Bobcat for my T66 loader. At peak performance it throws the snow as in the thumbnail maybe 25-30 feet a little less than my tractor. It also depends on what type of snow. Please help thank you
@@maraudermitchelli by matched meaning, the blower requires a certain gallon per minute of oil, the bobcat needs to be able to supply that amount. My clapped out CAT 80hp 13gpm and the blower needs 11-20gpm will throw snow up to about 40-60feet at full throttle, that is good snow, but very wet snow 10-15 feet. If Bobcat matched the blower it must be correct. And yes you can watch the fuel gauge drop.
Was looking for you at the ballgame
I've been retired from reserve duty I think 6 years now...great win for Buffalo I hope you watched. Be safe.
If you put in an Impellor kit it will not hardly clog at all. Im sure that is the issue.
I've seen rubber extensions on the impeller blades that seem to work well....maybe we'll see. Be safe and thank you.
Let the machine warm up outside for a good 15-20 minutes.. The shute may be clogging because its warm from being inside the garage. let it "chill" outside while the machine warms up.
Jim I firmly believe that is the reason it clogs due to temperature differentiation...if that is a term. I may end up storing this machine outside this winter. Thank you for helping I appreciate that. Be safe.
@maraudermitchelli No that's not necessary. I let mine warm up outside 15 minutes or so. That usually solves the problem
You need fluid film for your blower. It will stop all the adhesion of the snow
Richard I've never heard of that product I have to research thank you. Be safe.
👍👍👍
thank you
I believe I'd get an adjustable blade on that thing and call it a day, just my 2 cents. I don't know that I've ever heard of a driving ban.
Believe some days I think the same thing...I really do! Be safe thank you
There is nothing out there that blow like a Kobuta with a Kobuta snowblower.
I would probably agree with you they really move snow. Be safe and thank you
Peter, it's ok, but if it makes you feel better, we can wait for some silicone. Allegedly...😅
Too funny thank you I need to buy a case.
I mean, all of the comments about having to spray Pam or silicon on your blower is ridiculous to me. Is this an engineering failure? Why should a snowblower have to be “doctored up” to do the job it was intended to do?
I store it in my heated garage which is the problem. When the snow touches the warm metal it forms ice then clogs the chute. A little spray solves this issue...it really works. I may store it outside this winter. Please be safe and good question by you.
It looks like you were running in standard flow and not in HI flow.
I know...unfortunately it was full throttle high flow. Let's hope is was a partially clogged chute. Be safe thank you
I don’t know that would be too much work for me to get out of the machine and unclogged the shoot And it doesn’t throw that far I think you made a mistake when you sold your tractor wow
Dean my tractor shoot would clog...but it was smaller and easier to clean out. I know you miss my tractor I have to show you the other new tractor in our fleet i still have to operate it...maybe you'll like. Thank you stay warm.
@@maraudermitchelli I saw the big tractor that you have at your garage. It’s pretty nice it’s a beautiful John Deere. I wish you would go back and use a tractor again my tractor hopefully some point you will go back to a tractor that would be awesome.
@@deanmoore420 Dean my brother bought a 4 serious which is pretty nice I just haven't had the time to video it. I was seriously looking at a Kubota we'll see if I make a move. Be safe.
@@maraudermitchelli my tractor is running great I really love it. I really blows the snow good I live up here in the country but it does everything I wanted to do and then some but like I mentioned, I wish you would go back to using a tractor but if you’re happy with it, that’s up to you. Yeah after use what you like but one of your videos you said you get attached to machines I certainly did I love mine.
@@maraudermitchelli that would be awesome. I think that would be a smarter step but you operated machines all your life and you know them but I think that would do a much better job. That would be awesome if you did that hopefully you will.
You keep saying that I hope you get a Kabota
Thank you Dean I know
Great video. You didn't do anything we all have not done so don't beat yourself up over it. One thing I don't want to see again on any video is fooling around with that auger while the engine is running. I know everything was in neutral, no hydraulic, what ever, please don't do that.
You're right and I won't. It was frustrating as I wanted a clean video for my viewers...oh well reload for the next storm. Be safe and thank you
Very disappointed for you. Nothing to due putting silicone in the Shute. Take a good look at that video. Snow should blow 10-20 times that.
It throws about 15-30 feet but it was definitely partially clogged and only throwing it maybe 5 feet. Stay tuned thank you
Did I hear you say a “driving ban”? What kind of liberal state do you live in where your freedom to move about is restricted like that? Wow
During last years blizzard some died stuck in their cars or walking from their abandoned cars...that be said you're spot on for sure. Be safe thank you
@@maraudermitchelli sad that some people lost their lives. Best to stay put in your vehicle and wait it out
