    I just want to say thank you for the 2 part videos you did on this product it helped tremendously. I have the A2-8075 model version and with your detailed info it helped me get out of a tricky situation. I tried multiple adjustments and this helped out with a few tweaks of my own i got my 3 phase Copeland compressor up and running again. I went from single phase Copeland compressor with capacitor relay and starter to a 3 phase Copeland compressor with VFD. 3 days of messing with it and now thanks to you it saved me a few hundred dollars. I appreciate the time you took to explain this. Much respect...

    I bought a 7.5kw unit to use on a 10hp motor. Programming instructions could have been a bit better but with a little work it runs fine.

    The video is helpful I have two A2-8075 VFDs 7.5 kw I found no parameter to set to match rated motor amps or volt - it is pretty simple with some VFDs to set output voltage and input the full amps of the motor. My lathe runs fine but VFDs can control voltage and amps to match the motor plate and some case that's desirable.

    How did you wire the momentary switch to the unit? I am having trouble understanding which ports to use and how to program accurately. Thanks!

    hello I have the same inverter mounted on a lathe, but I have a problem; the motor starts regularly but when I attach the clutch to make the lathe spindle turn, the inverter gives me an "OC-r error".... an over current problem
    what could it depend on? Thank you

      it sounds like you are overloading the unit and it is not powerful enough for the job. you need to check your power requirements and purchase a suitable unit with enough spare capacity

      @@andrewwatts5625 hi, the unit delivers a power of 3kw and the motor is also 3kw; in fact, the motor starts regularly but then when I give it load with the clutch to make the spindle turn, the inverter stops and "OC--r" appears on the display. right now the lathe requires a lot of current which the inverter only supplies when starting the motor.
      he has only 35 parameters while the other models over 100..
      thanks for the contribution

      A 3kw motor will spike over 3kw on initial load which is why your unit is tripping out. You need to build in spare capacity

    • @pierluigidelmanso8728
      @pierluigidelmanso8728 Год назад

      @@andrewwatts5625 the inverter delivers approximately 16 nominal amperes during normal operation and can also deliver 150% more current for a few seconds during the motor starting phase. my problem is that when the motor starts it still has no load, only when I engage the lathe clutch to start the spindle do I add load to the motor and the inverter goes into error because at that moment for "him" it is not the startup phase..
      do you think the parameters referring to the torque (13 and 14) can influence my problem?
      sorry but I don't know if I was able to explain myself, I use google translate ... greetings

      @@pierluigidelmanso8728 Hi i do not think that 13 and 14 will help. You have an inductive motor which is the same rating as the unit and then you are adding a resistive load ie the clutch. so you have the load spike of the resistive load at the same time you load the motor which adds an inductive load spike. I think that you just do not have enough spare capacity with this unit or that the unit you have is faulty. either way you probably not going to get this unit to function as you need

    How do you configure this device for auto start? So when you power it up from main switch, it starts running. Like you can do with the HuanYang

      pn004 = 2
      pn007 = 2
      Wire between “GND” and “FWD”

    Hello and thanks for a great video. I recently got one of these VFD and have some questions on the wiring. I am US and using a 220v input. I have a 4 lead wire for the input power . I connected the R,T to the hot wires and S to the neutral . But there is no place in VFD to connect the ground. Did you wire the ground and if so what terminal I need to connect the ground. Also the ground from the motor is also needed to be grounded. Given there is no ground wondering where you connected the ground. Any help is highly appreciated sir . Thx

      Are you running single or 3ph?. Ensure you have input power on all phases. Try starting it from the on-board panel. Go back to a basic system. Power in, unit, power out. If you have power in ok, I believe there is an inboard fuse so check that. If all that is good the unit may be dead

      I can start it when I have basic settings. As soon as I change Pn 03 to the external signal I get the reading on the panel that the signal is there but the spindle doesn't turn and the cooling fan doesn't come on.

    I bought the A2 (0.75-30kw) unit from amazon. the listing said it can be used for a synchronous motor but the parameters need to be changed, what parameters do I need to change to make it work? also what pin on the board in the PWM Pin?

    Sir gud day to you, I have an a2 8075 model, the problem is that the output is not same as the input, how can I set it to give same amount of output as the input, what should I do...thanks from ph...

    • @andrewwatts5625
      @andrewwatts5625  2 года назад

      Hi the A2 Series 8022 VFD is a variable frequency drive, where the motor speed is controlled by varying the output frequency. you should not have a loss of voltage, any loss of voltage would lead me to susspect your unit is faulty The 8*** series units are 1/3ph 220v input and 3ph 220v output. This is an 2.2kw unit, overloading could cause output voltage drop.
