Out of all the islands, I would personally say Barbados is my favourite (used to make my mom bring cheffette in her suitcase back whenever she went lol), then Trinidad and Tobago (born and raised - plus, KFC). There is sooo much to do and history and you can be busy or relax, just depends on your flow. The general rule of thumb though is that things would need to be scheduled to ensure you maximize your time and money too.

As a Barbadian living in the states. You made driving on Barbados 🇧🇧 look like child play. I learn to drive they but can do it anymore. The bicanical garden need updating. Plants lack fertilizer. Like you said name of plants would be nice. I always enjoy oistin food. Next time hook up with a trusted local. It's twice the fun
I like Barbados but why don't they smile? Gosh, that just bothers me. I asked them why and then I get a laugh and they said they weren't aware of it. They need to smile more. They are helpful and quiet. The island is cool with lots of trees easy to get around.
I find that this young generation carry what we call " screw faces " as a born bajan it also worries me when ever I visit. I worked in the hotel sector in the 70a 80s and part of the 90s and we always smile ☺.

You'd basically be paying for FedEx to stop off/land in Barbados. I was supposed to ship some of my mother's friend's church hats. FedEx wanted to charge me USD$1,000.00. I told em no thanks. I could have paid USD$120.00 for a barrel. And then $100 to pick up the full barrel and shipped a bunch stuff more in that barrel for less.
Each island has their own vibe. They stand on their own merit. Barbados is cool, safe to walk around or drive. The people are helpful but they DON'T smile. They are quiet. They have hills, no mountains or waterfalls. Not all the beaches one can swim in due to high currents. What they call rivers is more like a canal. True they have beautiful clothes in the stores. I'll shop there. Other islands are more beautiful with more places to explore. People smile on the other islands. They exude happiness but some are not safe to walk around or drive. The weather is humid on most of the Caribbean islands.
Let me see, Barbados "people who don't smile but the island is safe" v.s. Islands where the "people smile BUT the islands aren't safe" but you like the unsafe places because the people entertain you with a smile?

@@christophercarter2835 not much to do there. It's easy to get island fever in Barbados. Jamaica is safe. People just need to not get involved with illicit activities and stay away from lawless people. They will be safe. Jamaica is more developed too.

Tobago does not have the infrastructure Barbados has. I've been to Tobago, and it's not a place I'd want to require medical attention.
