Took me ages to bond my bunnies, had them over a year and didn't introduce them because I didn't have time. When I had a 6 months break from work I finally had the time but my previous rabbits never liked each other so we could never go beyond the initial process of bonding and they had to live separately following just hating each other. EDIT: 2021 Its 3 years later and i no longer believe bunnies are fine alone mainly because i got my bun a partner and his happiness is visible everyday in a way i could never imagine. He needed someone who spoke his language, someone he could love and belong with. In comparison to now i can say that he was not actually happy before, just occupied when i was home, and alone when i was not. Imagine living somewhere where you can speak the same language as others and you have to wait for someone to come home or you alone all the time. I don't get why people are giving you a hard time for only having one rabbit. You shouldn't have to justify that to people
There are loads of reasons people don't get 2 buns: finances, practicality, actual physical lack of space, owner doesn't have time because she works, house training the new rabbit and introduces one them takes time!
sometimes buns only want to be one!! my bun is very stressed out by other rabbits. he could never have another rabbit honestly, i've tried :( he's happiest a single bun!!! and that's okay!!!
I also have my rabbit as an emotional support animal and he will remain a single bunny. People also forget that every bunny and every PET is different. Sometimes, you end up with one that just really likes being on their own or around you. I learned this with trying so hard to pair up my first very spunky Guinea Pig with others, and it just never worked out. She was always happiest and her best self when there were no others, and I wish I had figured that out sooner. The only person who knows your bunny best at the end of it is YOU.

You are doing the best job ever with your bunny! My rescue bunny could never bond to other bunnies. I was eventually advised by the Rabbit Advocate group (after visits and observations) to not worry about getting him a mate because he was so bonded to me and I was highly involved with him daily like you are with Lennon. My Peady lived to be 10 before getting an abcess that we fought for almost a year until we lost him. He was a happy bunny. Thank you again for all your hard work to make beautiful, educational, heart warming and excellent videos!!! I have had over 23 years invested into small animal care and I know a champion caretaker when I see one!!😉

I’ve only bathed my rabbit once because she escaped her pen and was living in the wild for about a week, and when she came back she smelled like sewage and dog poop but when I bathed her I made sure she was calm and I rapped her in a blanket and held her and made sure she was warm till she was dry (which was like two hours)
Ezra Gem for future reference, a much safer idea is to wet down a cloth and pat the bun’s dirty spots until they’re clean. Keeping her warm while she was being washed was a good idea, but cleaning her with a cloth is a much safer option.

That's so funny! One of my rabbits, George, was named after George Harrison! All of his brothers were named after the Beatles! I got him from a rabbit rescue.
Lennon is so sweet! These videos are very touching for me because I had a bunny (Oreo) that looked just like Lennon (except maybe a bit smaller). I had Oreo for 14 years and still miss her every day even though it's been over a year since she passed away.

Don't worry about what people say. It is the idiotnet afterall. Lennon looks a lot like our first bunny, Coley. He died a year and a half ago at 9 years old. Our current bunny is Samantha. Both Coley and Sammi don't(didn't) realize they are prey animals. They both walk on our Bassador(Lab Basset Hound mix) and out 18 lb cat. Coley was 8 pounds and Sammi is 3. Both of them are like dogs. I let them outside in our yard. Someone is always watching them, mostly me. We pick them up when it is time to come in. I did not want a rabbit. My daughter and wife talked me into getting one. Now, I am the big bunny lover in the house. It is strange, I don't like small dogs that much, but love little bunnies.

Thanks to you and Lennon, my bunnies are actually using the litter box instead of peeing everywhere. I am currently sitting here watching your videos and the tips you have posted really help! My bunnies have found a way on my bed and I am totally fine with it. They did pee once each but that was it. I cleaned it the way you told me too and I kept on putting them in the box. I've got to say as someone considering adopting a new pet, your channel really has opened my eyes to what great pets rabbits can be. I was considering a cat, but my partner is highly allergic. My rabbit would not want to live with another rabbit. He lived with cats and was fine with that but now he lives with me in apartment and is a "companion" pet so I cannot have a second one anyway. I am home most of the time with him so if he is ever alone it is usually during the day at his sleep time. I love your videos and have watched them over and over. Taught me a lot of real information. I used to have a Havana mix bunny as well, I think he was mixed with Netherland Dwarf! His name was Chester, but sadly he passed away from old age. Love you guys!
My first house bunny was also supposed to be a boy, so I named her Jackson after Jackson Browne (she was a brown holland lop) and then also decided to keep it when the vet said she was a girl! That similarity made me smile. Love your relationship and videos!

2:28 You're absolutely right right on that. When we introduced a partner to our free-roam Havana, even though she was a baby, they fought like dooms-day. It took almost a full year to bond them and I'm still not sure to this day they were a good fit for each other. I think they just tolerated each other. Doing a meet and greet is the best route. We didn't know any better and did the best we could at the time.

Nonsense And insanity Well i recommend male, since female rabbits might give birth. And for the breed, i don't really know about breeds, but it can be Dutch or Havana.
Personally I would recommend a girl cause the males spray if they don’t get spayed or neutered and if a girl doesn’t get spayed she could get cancer but there is stuff with both genders but they are fine either way

Thanks to you and Lennon, my bunnies are actually using the litter box instead of peeing everywhere. I am currently sitting here watching your videos and the tips you have posted really help! My bunnies have found a way on my bed and I am totally fine with it. They did pee once each but that was it. I cleaned it the way you told me too and I kept on putting them in the box. One of my baby girls (Hopper) just got out of the bed and is using the litter box. Thank you so much!

I've got to say as someone considering adopting a new pet, your channel really has opened my eyes to what great pets rabbits can be. I was considering a cat, but my partner is highly allergic. We have met a rabbit we both like with no signs of allergies! I hope you keep making these videos, they have taught me a lot!

My rabbit would not want to live with another rabbit. He lived with cats and was fine with that but now he lives with me in apartment and is a "companion" pet so I cannot have a second one anyway. I am home most of the time with him so if he is ever alone it is usually during the day at his sleep time. I love your videos and have watched them over and over. Taught me a lot of real information. I used to have a Havana mix bunny as well, I think he was mixed with Netherland Dwarf! His name was Chester, but sadly he passed away from old age. Love you guys!
They said my bunny was a girl then it ended up being a boy. Love your vides. Lots of love from kiki and oreo (my rabbit also called bun bun)
My first house bunny was also supposed to be a boy, so I named her Jackson after Jackson Browne (she was a brown holland lop) and then also decided to keep it when the vet said she was a girl! That similarity made me smile. Love your relationship and videos!

2:28 You're absolutely right right on that. When we introduced a partner to our free-roam Havana, even though she was a baby, they fought like dooms-day. It took almost a full year to bond them and I'm still not sure to this day they were a good fit for each other. I think they just tolerated each other. Doing a meet and greet is the best route. We didn't know any better and did the best we could at the time.

Well i recommend male, since female rabbits might give birth.
And for the breed, i don't really know about breeds, but it can be Dutch or Havana.
I guess you have him by now, but you should go in with no rules, and get the one that gets your attention- that's the one you're supposed to be with!
Personally I would recommend a girl cause the males spray if they don’t get spayed or neutered and if a girl doesn’t get spayed she could get cancer but there is stuff with both genders but they are fine either way
