i first played 5 years ago according to my discord server join date, but stopped playing after only a few months so im excited to finally participate in seasons and events!
(though my old account has a pendant from the season of lightseekers, despite the fact that i dont remember ever buying a season pass...)

Days of Color is the most fun Days of after Halloween or Days of Mischief.. the whole entire Skybase freaks out and parties hard during Days of Mischief.. but Color is giving a good run.. it’s super fun! Mischief managed! :)

haha so like... the color black is caused by all color light being absorbed. but like normally skykids have white hair, so they reflect all the light. my headcannon is that we're all just mirrors or something 😂

I find the hair dye an interesting concept, but personally it's not my thing, especially the way it was executed, kinda feels lazy to just put what seems to be a color on a multiply layer mode to change the color xd
Ikr! I think if they were gonna go for a hair dye concept they should have done it as streaks like previous hairs.
And you're so right about it being multiple layer mod thing especially when it changes the color of the official hair accessories on some of them like the Vault bandana one especially.
It's still in development. They usually polish things before release.

That does sound fun but I honestly find it better for it to be temporary, since the white hair does have its charm on sky kids for almost 5 years now! (🎉🎉🎉) but it would be really nice if you could still get them from the shop like the rest of the spells for candles in the boat !
Heck no... I don't wanna see neon hair people everywhere permanently. Cuz you know they'll wear it with things that clash. 😅
@@smekster I totally agree. Keep them as spells, but dont make them permanent. TGC needs to realize that the players dont always have the best vision for the game. If that were the case, we would have a totally chaotic game. They themselves should know what is best for the game.

I love how Days of Color has been pretty low-key about Pride. Like, nothing is directly stated that this is an LGBTQ+ event (im not really deep in the community so perhaps something HAS been mentioned by TGC themselves directly addressing this. Please lemme know if so!) - perhaps just a fun colorful event that "just so happens" to occur in June. But this year they're referencing David Bowe like "Yeah nuh, it's gay."

I've found that a great cape to wear with last year's outfit is the ultimate one from Season of Revival. It gives rainbow trail bursts and it doesn't cover up the outfit, plus it coordinates well with the sash.

Oooof the number of people wanting the hair dye being a permanent fixture... I mean, it makes sense, cuz people LOVE their options, but Sky has an art direction, it has a strong sense of design it's tried to keep for 5 years now. To let go of the white hair would be the day the devs let go of the game world's identity.
I can already tell my comment is going to make some people roll their eyes and say "its not a big deal" but as an artist myself I can assure you, every choice matters. And there is a bigger discussion that can be had on "Live service games losing their consistency over time" But this isn't the place for that.

such a strong art direction that it started adding baggy jeans and fire eyeglasses etc... yeah no. i think the "art direction" flew out the window a while ago so people cannot use that as a reason.

I personally love it that dye hair dye to be temporarily. While i get that sky is mostly cosmentic base, they need to keep their theme of what makes a sky kid theme. Its like having a gem stone on their body is what makes part of steven universe style theme. Where people can recognize its from sky easily.
Personally, having a permanent hair dye hair style would clash of what makes sky kid is ans having neon hair colors everywhere kinda ruins the vibe. I would appreciate it more if they have no cape spells too.
