Everyone WAS singing along. The audio you're hearing is fed directly from his mic and guitar pre-amp and Mike Rowe's keyboard, thus all external noise is cut out. That's why his voice sounds so compressed here.

Noel's vocals have improved light years in just one short year. I think the reason none of us sang along that night is because this was Noel's first ever North American show under HFB and we had no idea of what to expect. It was truly a magical night nonetheless.
